I saw this short film at the Duluth film festival and it took my breath away! The scenery was gorgeous and the story line about a little girl as the last survivor of some sort nuclear fallout stirred many emotions in me. It was hard to watch the part where her foot is trapped in rocks. It is at this point that she first sees the island spirit. Two Breaths is the spirit of the island that manifests as a manta ray who appears when islanders need it most.

There is so much packed into only 19 minutes! Two Breaths helps the little girl reach a boat she spots on the distant horizon.

I would love to see a feature film made out of this. This has a timeless storyline, beautiful scenery and cinematography, and an intriguing main character. I highly recommend you see this movie!

I had the opportunity to see this short film at the Hawaii International Film Festival, and everyone absolutely loved it! Shot in Hawaii, the underwater footage is incredible. The storyline evokes deep social commentary, and this is a must-see for environmentalists or for those who love our wildlife. This film generates a sense of urgency when it comes to caring for our planet, and explores the effects of man-made disaster on individuals, relationships, and communities. This would be an amazing film for environmental advocacy groups and schools to screen. A true delight to watch, I only hope to be able to watch this again!

Hawaiii. A happy girl living with her grandfather and his precious lessons about nature, local legends and beauty of life.

A nuclear test , one of victims being the venerable man.

And the survive of young Ava , her innocence, curiosity, comfort offered by the plush toy being enough. But, one day, she losts the toy and meets a legendary manta ray. Like grandfather, the ocean creature becomes a guide for girl.

Finaly, the story ends in simple and pretty decent way- Ava leaves her paradise .

Splendid images, fascinating story, fair used nuances. And the inspired - touching performance of young girl.
