Lee Jung-eun is indisputably the highlight of this show! She masterfully (and adorably) portrays a lady in her 50s acting like she's in her 20s. (She is known to international audiences for her roles in Bong Joon-ho's works like Parasite and Okja, which showcase the physicality in her acting. She boasts a prolific filmography and is wellknown to K-Drama fans for her supporting roles in Mr. Sunshine and When the Camellia Blooms.)

The show is a slice-of-life drama surrounding a prosecutor's office but, at its heart, is a slapstick comedy with a blend of romance and mystery. It explores themes of ageism, government bureaucracy, substance abuse, and social expectations.

The show shines with its lighthearted and humorous moments, but it features a darker storyline, the murder mystery, that has become quite common in K-drama comedies (e.g. Behind Your Touch). So, it's a whimsical blend of dichotomies and contrasts.

I couldn't help but be reminded of Kafka's Metamorphosis when considering the central premise of this show. The physical transformation provides an amusing but thoughtful commentary on ageism.

Don't watch this for realism. As with many K-Dramas, enjoy the rollercoaster ride filled with both humor and heart.

In comparison to the intense dramas , abusive language and killing and political dramas this series is a breath of fresh air to people who want to see comedy soft romance, no abusive language.

This series is a romantic comedy and really good to watch. Loved it 😊 All the actors are so good and those people who say that this series is stupid, I would really like to say that we need stupid some time to make us forget are daily life issues. Isn't there already too much drama, struggles and emotions in our life so why can't we laugh watching something stupid. I would definitely recommend it to all..

It seems many reviewers took it way to seriously. It's a kind of slapstick comedy and it's one of the funniest i saw in the last months.

There is some kind of romantic involved which is kinda normal for every Korean show and it includes some social criticism as well. But it's not meant to be serious which gets more and more obvious.

Her parents remind me somehow to the couple in Kung Fu Hustle. It's a very weird and funny couple and well played. The main character play her role perfectly and she has really impressive talent for slapstick comedy.

This movie is not for anyone who expect a serious social criticism kdrama but for anyone who wants to have a fun time.

Lee Jeong-eun comedic acting in this show is award winning. Her timing. Physical performance, presence is outstanding. I am enjoying this light comedy the cast is well chosen, she's a standout for best in a comedy series. The premise of the show is cute the other female lead plays her ditsy character very well, her friend is adorable, the prosector is perfect as the comedic straight man and the character actor who is the assistant prosecutor is always good in any roll he is in. This light hearted comedy might not be to everyone's taste, but I am throughly enjoying it especially the performance of Lee Jeong-eun.

Netflix's Miss Night and Day is Hilarious! The cast was superbly funny, the production seamless, and the writing spot on! A big shout out to Yoon Byung-hee for his off-the-charts comic relief. Episode 9's cafeteria scene was brilliantly funny! This series is now in my top 4 favorite comedies with "Welcome to Waikiki," "Mr. Queen," and "Behind Your Touch." Special mentions to Lee Jeong-eun for her perfect acting styles, Choi Jin-hyuk for the best straight man ever, making the show a standout! The talented cast, seamless production, and excellent writing made it a standout series. If you haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend giving it a try.

The premise is fun, I love a good fantasy K-Drama/Webtoon. The characters are all pretty well rounded and there's a couple of twists to keep things interesting.

However, the episodes are really hit and miss. One episode will be really gripping and the next will be mostly filler. I know 15/16 episodes seems to be K standard but it easily could've been made in 6-8 and been a tighter experience.

Big bane of mine: MISUNDERSTANDING TROPE

God, this series is so frustrating because of it. I can suspend my disbelief for a moment in order to create some interesting plot points but to have the characters continuously misinterpret each other and go back and fro all the time becomes very annoying by the end. Misunderstandings that could be sorted almost immediately turn into a three-episode affair.

This is the main reason I won't rate this higher. Because the main character (Sun) is absolutely amazing in this, the story is good (there's romance, fantasy, drama, crime and police stuff to keep you entertained), and the other characters are likeable. But otherwise it drags a lot in places.

The is definitely Lim Sun's story (the older alter ego, Miss Day). You certainly can relate to this as an older person. Her character steals the show and well it should. The performers are spectacular. There is lots of suspense and you fall in love with the majority of the characters. It pretty much all makes sense. My only complaint is that the romance between the prosecutor and Lee Mi-Jin drags out to the point where it feels like she is mistreating him by constantly pushing him away. It's not the best part of the story. It's all Lim Sun...her face is the last thing you see when the series ends. What you are seeing here is a story about Grief and Loyalty.

This is supposed to be a rom com with a bit of supernatural and thriller thrown in. It ends up messy.

There are some funny bits but not enough to lift it. The idea of being one 50 year old in the day and then a 20 something at night just didnt work for me. Why she didnt tell her parents and get their support is strange.

The relationship was peculiar when and how did these two fall for each other was utterly confusing made worse by the disappearance at the end.

The cat ? What was that about? The killer being a woman was different but she was quite strong and determined and able to continue her spree for some time. Not feasible.

Yeah. Not sure about this one. If you want some easy mindless drama to watch and forget about when completed then this fits that category.

As a person that does not really watch a lot of miniseries, I have to admit that I actually enjoyed this!!! I thought the writer did a great job of bringing together supernatural, suspense, drama, mystery, romance and comedy with a great ending! This is a great show with a great team of actors as well as crew! The story/writing kept me drawn to the all characters. Although there are a lot of cast members, each one had an important part in making the story. Good music and a little dancing were nicely worked into the story as well. If you enjoy happy endings, this is quite an enjoyable and entertaining journey. The story made me experience a lot of emotions that I was not expecting in this show. I am happy I watched this and may look forward to more!!! Highly recommended if you enjoy happy endings!!!

Lee Mijin, a woman in her late twenties continuously fails to pass the exams and get a decent office job. Frustratedly wandering the streets she meets a cat. When she wakes up the next morning she has become a lady in her fifties. As elder she gets a job at the prosecutor's office but they are not amused to work with an elderly woman and try to get rid of her.

Soon there is a cat an mouse play because Mijin turns young again after sunset, a fact she hides, as not even her parents believe her. Intertwined in the story is the search for the sudden disappearance of Mijins aunt and the prosecutor's mom 20 years ago, adding an element of crime.

The story is lighthearted and funny, with less baby crying adults as in other ones. It hints to problems with ageing without taking it too far. Lee Jungeun as Im Sun does a hilarious job portraying a young woman in an elderly body. Baek Seohoo as Ko Won is adorable and caring to Im Sun, even before knowing that she is actually young. Old Choi Jinhyuk as prosecutor Gye slowly melts and warms up and Yoon Byunghee adds to the funny moments as a not so professional detective.

The script is good (remember you're watching a funny romcom), with witty dialogues and a good pace, but unfortunately fails to deliver in the last two episodes. Why did they have to unnecessarily add the separation theme once again like in most dramas? The tone of the series turns completely and unnecessarily changes and no explanation for the magic is satisfyingly delivered. I've watched 14 episodes twice and they were still good but can't warm up for the last two. Therefore 2 stars deduction for messing up at the end: 7 instead of a solid 9.

Miss Night and Day has some positives. First and foremost is Lee Jung-eun, who puts so much quirk and energy into playing the eldery version of the female lead-- Lee Mi-jin. The side characters have good chemistry with one another. Choi Jin-hyuk is decent as the male lead. The story contains plenty of hilarious double-life hijinks, wrapped up in a simple but engaging enough murder-mystery.

What ruins the show is the way Lee Mi-jin was written. While her character is meant to be a little air-headed, there were many times where she's stupid to the point of lunacy. The biggest example is her constant failures or refusals to reveal her double-life, even though doing so would basically solve all of her issues. But of course, that would means the end of the drama, so she constantly has to make the most illogical decisions to keep the secret going, despite it convoluting a ****serial killer investigation*** and almost getting her killed several times.

Jung Eun-ji's portrayal of Lee Mi-jin's younger self didn't help. She felt passionless and distant which really didn't match the energetic way Lee Jung-eun played her. Coupled with Choi Jin-hyuk, who's character is already written to be cold and distant, the two felt more like an estranged couple.

So, I'm really trying to like this drama, but Jung Eun-ji's acting is kinda dry in this, and in some parts, it feels like you can tell she's being Queued when to cry... I know she's supposed to be "ditsy", but It just doesn't feel natural imo. But, Lee Jung-eun on the other hand keeps me wanting to watch more! She is so funny, but it frustrates me that her and her night time self are polar opposites. They seem like two different people. The rest of the cast is amazingly funny and fun to watch! I also hope that the detective plot gets even more interesting. I have 4 more episodes left to watch, so here's hoping! Fighting!

I find the senior actress for Lim Sun a bit irritating. Did the casting do a bad job ?

First of all, she doesn't look like Mi-Jin's mom and they are supposed to be biological sisters in the show. Secondly, she looks way older than her elder sister. I also find this senior actress's acting a bit exaggerating. True, this is a comedy, but I guess she was hired totally for her humourous acting. But other than that, she is not who I visualised to be Lim Sun.

I also find the plot of withholding the secret to her family members and prosecutor too far-fetched. She could have just went home and let her parents see her transformation.

I haven't enjoyed a K comedy this much since the absolutely perfect Good Bad Mother last year. The premise of switching to an older person during the day is clever original and is put to wonderful use. It's much better than time travel that is often impossible to resolve. There are so many laugh out loud scenes each episode because of the age thing. The love triangles are hilarious.

Great balance of comedy and murder mystery thriller. When things get too serious, the story switches to the romantic scenes to lighten the mood. Never too much of the darker side. Things are clear and resolved fully.

Must praise the perfectly chosen cast. Lee Jeong Eun of Parasite did such a good job in Our Blues. But here she really gets to shine in a lead role displaying such comic brilliance and physical comedy skill. Her facial expressions perfectly show all the different emotions the character is experiencing. She really should get an award this time as leading actress. The younger self Jung Eun Ji is likable and has great comic timing and reminds me of the late great Suzanne Sommers. Choi Jin Hyuk looks right for the part of prosecutor. Glad he got a big hit as a fan of his previous dramas. Supporting cast is terrific as well especially the mother Jung Young Joo who is so striking and is a great comedienne, check her out as the best villainess ever in Golden Garden. Even the idol guy Baek Seo Hoo is just right for the role.

This is one of the funniest K comedy dramas.

Korean Drama '' Miss Night and Day '' is a fantasy romantic comedy with some mystery thrown in the mixture.

The drama starts off pretty strongly, and it handles the fantasy element well and smoothly, embedding it nicely in the main plot.

The use of the mystery case, along with the romance which was sprinkled in it and wasn't the main focus of the story, thankfully, all worked in the story's favor.

However, the final episodes were not that good. The drama got messy and the fantasy element was awkwardly resolved.

On the other hand, the performances were all enjoyable by everyone in the cast.

So, overall, seven out of ten.

Miss Night & Day (2024)

First, I want to pay my respects to real stars of this movie, the caterers. They certainly wiped the plate clean with this one. I have complained before about how Korean dramas get bloated by utterly useless scenes of eating and drinking but, by comparison with other shows, this one, uh, takes the cake. Sixteen fat-saturated episodes of a story that could have been told in 10 or maybe 12 lean episodes instead has a BMI of about 100 and waddles to the finish like the inhabitants of the spaceship in Wall-E. Scene after scene of actors eating not very appetizing food and drinking and getting drunk in ways that almost never serve the plot but rather serve the almighty lords of the 16-episode format. For those of you (and I include myself) who like to, uh, binge watch these shows, you really can fast forward through almost every second of these scenes and you will miss nothing at all.

A pity, really, because the story is quite engaging and the leads appealing and the supporting cast is at best (in the case of those with dramatic roles) wonderful and at worst (in the case of those with comic roles) not too annoying. I actually quite enjoyed the performance of Baek Seo-hoo, playing a top idol who works in a prosecutor's office as a conscript because he is unable for medical reasons to do his mandatory military service in the actual army.

The basic idea is that our heroine is bewitched, possibly by an orange cat, so that at night she remains the comely 28-year old played by Jung Eun-ji who at sunrise turns into the not so slender 48-year old played by Lee Jung-eun, only to resume her youthful self when the sun sets. For reasons that are never entirely convincing, she has to keep this transformation secret but she is rumbled very early on by her best friend, played delightfully by Kim Ah-young, and later by one other character whom I will not identify so as not to spoil the fun. This plot device requires a series of increasingly imaginative and hilarious maneuvers to enable our heroine to avoid detection, even by the K-drama tropeissimo parents with whom she lives (thank goodness, at least in this one she does not have an annoying mooch of a younger brother) and our hero, the rather serious prosecutor, played mostly and mostly unsmilingly by Choi Jin-hyuk, for whom she goes to work during the day and with whom she must interact as a witness and victim (and love interest) but only during the evening hours.

Easily the star of the show is Ms. Lee, who fills her character with spark and energy, even joy; Ms. Jung, by contrast, starts off strong as the hardworking young woman who not entirely fairly keeps failing at her efforts to become a civil servant but too soon devolves into a rather weepy and forlorn figure who constantly makes dumb decisions that seem to validate the judgments of the people who didn't hire her. One always has to be careful - is the problem the actress or the script, especially the plot? Some of both in this case.

The comedy is interwoven with a fairly conventional K-drama story of relatives of the hero and heroine who had gone missing 20 years before and whose psychopathic murderer resurfaces so as to put our heroine and certain other witnesses in danger. All pretty predictable. Perhaps it is not a spoiler to say that the psychopath's comeuppance is not entirely satisfactory, at least it was not to me. I was also a little disappointed at the casual way the curse was eventually lifted, again as you can readily guess it would be, but the ending of the show itself was rather touching.

All in all, a pleasant way to while away a few hours - the key being to having a fully-functioning fast-forward button to speed through the calorie-fest.

I'm usually not a fan of Korean K drama shows but this show stole my heart from the trailer. I enjoyed every single episode. The act of the actress is so cute and funny. Even the old lady actress was so amazing and her acting was funny. She even added some comedy and some cute suspense inside the show. I really enjoyed it and I wish to always see these kind of shows.

Usually whenever I watch a show I always skip on some specific sketches but with this show I never skipped it. I will rate this show by 10 even though I have only one negative comment and this would be that I wish she was discovered by episode five or six, so we can see more romantic scene with the young actress and the actor but overall the show was amazing and my rate will remain 10.

But, OMG! Sixteen hours long!?! That's why the lower score from me. A bit of overkill, no pun intended.

Each of the main and secondary characters pull their weight and blend nicely with one another in a story that you must suspend all disbelief and go along for the K-Ride. The side stories are fun and funny and sweet and keep it fueled.

I thought the ending was good - given the 15 hours that lead up to it. The grand finale made me smile a lot (which says a lot!) so it was worth the wait.

This is another drama where the female lead is an idiot. I've watched 7 episodes and she may have put together three coherent sentences. Tops! She mumbles and looks at the ground like a five-year old. I know with cultural differences this is more normal in Korea. But, she's coming off practically mentally challenged. There is zero reason for the romance if he's supposedly an intelligent prosecutor. Even if opposites attract, I can't imagine he's going to find love with a total mumbling fool. However, the older female lead is doing a great job so far! I wish she'd be the overall lead and he falls in love with her. At least the character comes off as a capable human being during her time. I don't really know what else to add. If you are bored and want to watch something silly and don't care that the lead is feeble minded, you can enjoy it. The side characters, mostly her parents don't help much as all they typically do is try to marry her off. His partner is really funny. I have seen him act in other dramas and he's usually good. But, he can't save this.

This movie is definitely making you laugh like a lot!! For people who can't stand "nonsense" and can't watch this I won't blame you, because its a fantasy movie. But if you are looking just for entertainment this is it.

The movie is all in one place, you'll get comedy romance mystery. And plus the actors and actress are very great! At the beginning i don't like Eunji (Mijin character) and Eunji Apink herself explain that at the beginning she quarrel with Mijin character. But as the movie goes you can see that she accept and blend more to her character.

Need longer ending tho, it seems to be shortened all the stories. If there is just one more episode to elaborate more the story on detail i think it would be best.

But overall worth to watch and doesn't mind to repeat.
