My close personal friend Nick Mullen is so naturally talented at stand-up that it's almost unfair towards his peers. In this particular performance, he effortlessly delivers an outstanding set that showcases his comedic prowess. What makes his act truly remarkable is the seamless blend of wit, timing, and a unique perspective that sets him apart in the world of stand-up comedy. It's a testament to his comedic genius that even though he tends to pack a lot of material into the hour, each moment is a gem, leaving the audience thoroughly entertained. His ability to navigate through diverse topics with humor and intelligence adds a layer of depth to the performance.

A very good special. I don't normally finish a special and know I will re-watch it sometime but this is one of those rare ones. There was never really a low-point and not very many long drawn out set up. Just funny premises that often make you wonder where he is going with this, then punchlines that make you laugh and even a bit relieved he didn't go another way because some of it is a bit edgy. Its probably not for an older audience but I would recommend for most people under 50.

You will definitely see viral clips of this special for years to come, so go ahead and watch it and be the one sharing it not the one in the comment section asking what its from.

Nick Mullen's "Year of the Dragon" is like a comedy tornado - it hits fast, leaves you disoriented, and you're not quite sure if you've still got all your limbs. From dissecting the chaos of online dating to exposing the existential crisis of choosing a salad over fries, Mullen dances through life's absurdities like a stand-up ninja. His humor is so sharp; I'm pretty sure the mic he used needs counseling now.

This special is Mullen's grand slam in the comedy Olympics. He turns mundane moments into laugh-out-loud spectacles, making you wonder if you've been missing the hilarity in your everyday life. It's like he's armed with a joke bazooka, and we're all caught in the crossfire of his comedic genius. If laughter is the best medicine, Mullen just prescribed us a year's supply in one uproarious dose.

I would like to start this off by saying that I am indeed a gay man. With that knowledge, I have a fondness for Nick's work, but I was slightly worried because in the past on the show, he was more of a brooding malevolent force that didn't really force out laughter, but made you think and then other members pulled the laughter out of the ridiculous situation Nick has created. This made me slightly worried going in because he had nobody to bounce off of.

Let me tell you just how pleasantly I was impressed. I didn't burst out laughing once, but I was 1000% entertained, locked in and was giggling the whole time and I think this is the quickest I felt a stand up special go by. Just spectacular and I want more, because this is a very special brand of comedy, just a relentless flow of thoughts that are so entertaining and fun to follow.

Risking sounding like a giant slobbering f word, I would really like to liken this to a absurdist philosophical TED talk mixed with stand up comedy, something that I feel that a lot of comedians try to do and fail at. And regardless if it was Nick's intent here or not, he managed it very well, perfectly might I say so.

I wouldn't recommend watching this with someone who just wants to switch off and have a laugh without having a chat about the topics brought up later- this is definitely something that makes you want to talk about it hours after the material has ended.

I don't think I want to say that this is the only type of stand up comedy I'd like to watch for the rest of my life, I'm definitely saying that this is the type of stand up comedy I'd like to watch regardless of me being high, sober, stoned, sad or happy and that is something I can't say about a lot of other stand up acts. Really happy this came out and I hope the author is happy with it himself, he should be.
