This one took me by surprise fantastic making and the real life footages one of the finest without doubt, listening to the victims statements makes me feel how the system works very sad, one of the best docu series kudos to the team. It has done justice to the people who suffered by the state atrocities committed by the state in the name of veerappan hunting, the making of this series is simply superb world class making lot of research gone into it without doubt, love to see a different perspective on veerappan it's not been captured earlier mostly one sided this series shows the veerappan side of the tale.

Truly an amazing series.. Tells you both sides of the story. We openly and blindly trust the media.. This series is a standing proof why one should not believe everything we hear on the news. Amazing work by Nakeeran and his team. The documentary aptly addresses the suffering endured by individuals due to state actions carried out under the guise of hunting Veerappan. It also highlights how innocent people were trapped in between helping veerappan or the police. The corrupt nature of the police and higher authorities is clearly shown here. The Koose Munuswamy Veerappan series provides a raw examination of crime and justice, navigating through the shadows of police brutality. Thank you Nakeeran for risking your life and meeting veerapan 30 years ago and filming him showing him to the world what exactly was happening, it's fair to say that you have to listen to both sides of the story, while what veerapan did was wrong, what cops did was much much worse leaving civilians to suffer to date not able to lead a normal life even 25 years later , the torture and trauma cops have caused is unimaginable and unacceptable One of the best documentary with real videos, Excellent direction, great BGM. Must watch , well done team

Justic for innocent people affected by cops.

I usually don't add reviews on IMDb , but this veerapan series stands out in getting a different perspectives out to public in a fresh cinematic documentary format , I have watched 3-4 movies and 2 series ,one of them is from Netflix , all of those had a same perspective but this one is totally opposite and there is actual footage to support the same , there are some scenes where you get goosebumps for the things veerapan does ,Nakheeran has made a bold move to get this on the bigger stage , but if the same series had been done by Netflix the reach would have been doubled , loved it , waiting for season 2 now.

Its like seeing a star tail meteor during star gazing ! Surprise package to see both end plights and their way of seeing though. But its clear evident on the injustice done to people and the demonic behavior of police force in this nabbing was heart crushing and make us to feel bad and pity for the innocent people. After a long time this series brings a sense of satisfaction on the making.

The real time evidence of Veerapan , Living example from both ends , shows that this documentary is not biased to one side , it clearly shows the both end thoughts of each and their stories on for years.

One of the iconic gangster of all time, is veerappan. The series is not about the justification its inly the perception. Nakeeran has given a un biased story line , the ros and cons of the iconic Veerappan. It was so surreal and heart felt. It has revealed many hidden truths and the reason why veerappan became veerappan. An amazingly crafted documentry, with edits music and an osm direction. Nakeeran gopal has sav3d this entire master piece for whole lot to be revealed. The truth behimd history is bitter and sweet. Its a complete pacakage. Please do watch it available in Zee5. A mind blowing master piece.

Mr. Sivasubramanian is the actual person to showbthe world who is veerappan.. 1st person to tape him(veera), He met veerappa more times than anybody else.. a perfect journalist in nakeeran. Siva never take credential on veerappa case he simply stays as a matured journalist who won't fight for self addressing or a show off.. but gopal is a different scenario and now you can see it that Daughter's document(A business). Mr. Siva You have did a great contribution in veerappa case hats off and salute. Media always has 2 sides sadly always the wrong side Becomes a showcase and true side Becomes a hero.

Thanks Nakeeran family for showing us the real face of Koose Munuswamy Veerappan. Veerappan, who was by a terrorist, pocher, and smuggler by the govt and police department. Now the people has seen the real face of Veerappan through this documentary. Tamil people are betrayed by their own people. No need for anyone to come and destroy them. On the North Veerappan, and on the South Velupillai Prabhakaran they were really protecting the tamils. But these politicians and police men were the one who destroys the tamils.

Dear Zee tamizh, after watching the whole series and hearing all the stories you have mentioned in the description that he is a terrorist, smuggler and pocher. But why?. Please wake up people of tamil.

Very well told. The fact that this includes video interview from him that has been relased almost 3 decades later is impressive. Congratulations to the entire team. Narratives of the police/forest officials and politicians are broken beyond repair once you see this. Hopefully all police/forest officials, politicians are brought to justice for what they done. And also those people who are self-righteous, do your part to get the people justice if not, shut up about Veerapan as he is the only one who stood for the people and he is not perfect but he is 1000% better than the others involved.

The family members of those police/forest officials, politicians and others involved in the suffering of the people directly and indirectly, turn them in or hopefully you all live a miserable life. If they are already dead, still disclose and let it be documented.

All are giving their perception by interview and acting footage also very nice to follow the story of this documentary... Some episodes made angry about police and feel pitty about hills people... This documentary was a history lesson for me. Did not know so many events unfolded during the 90's in Karnataka. Also, it gives glimpses of how much mis-information was present too(just like now) at that time when only one source of truth was newspapers. Definitely a must watch documentary. This documentary gives the story from all the sides. And it does not bias in anyone's favor. I still see many facts are there which could have been uncovered by giving more proof but then its still gives you enough to ponder upon. Fingers crossed for Season 2. I hope for season 2 they maintain the same pace as that of season 1.
