Pazhanjan Pranayam

This is a beautiful decent movie .The cinema eventhough moves in a slow phase,audience won't feel any delay or cliche .Both actors have given full justice to their roles. This is a small budget -feel good movie with realistic characters. After watching the movie for an hour,audience will start to feel that if they(both hero & heroine ) marry ,they are going to be a perfect pair. The movie is much better than many big budget/big star/Pan Indian movies. The movie gives a message that 'at the end of the day' what everyone needs in life is - happiness,love and caring from their loved ones. Overall it is a very good movie!!! Kudos to the whole crew..expecting more such movies....

A very long time ago there was ' Beatles 'a simple pop group, their songs were simple two to four instruments and a chain of simply words. These words were able to create incredible feelings and emotions in us mere mortals. There were many other groups and movies as well, at various times, each more sophisticated than the one earlier. The common things in these are the fact that the most simple things, feelings, prose, poetry are the very greatest. Vincy A.did a very wonderful job in the movie as a simple, ordinary normal Kerala Mallu girl. Rony David did justice to his role as a simpleton who dedicated his life to the care of his father. The movie depicts the life of simple people in, perhaps somewhat convoluted life situations. Without the fanfare of superstars or the loaded aspects of ' item ' dances and songs, this movie creates a feeling of heartfelt nostalgia of the earlier simplistic life in Kerala. The name " PAZHANJAN PRANAYAM " itself is totally and completely justified for the purpose and the story view.

Pazhanjan Pranayam (Old-School Romance) took me by surprise as obscure Malayalam films rarely do. This is a simple story of a middle-aged bachelor living with his ailing father. He's been on the lookout for a bride since his 20s but has been unsuccessful, and that is when he hires a woman as a full-time maid. Pazhanjan Pranayam excels in storytelling above else, and although most of the proceedings are predictable here, there's a certain charm to the characters. Romy David went a bit overboard here but I liked him. It seems cheesy and at least one sequence is a bit over-the-top but overall the film manages to put a smile on your face. It did for me.

After an age men stop watching romance movies and I started out that way watching this. But I am blown away by the brilliant script, subdued realistic acting of entire caste and the balance between romance humor and realism of the screen play. The film doesn't have much ups or downs it is just life as is, no overly dramatic moments, no action , no villian , it is just a story which you can relate to, which revives your soul, and finds happiness. Some have mentioned that the ending is bland, but I consider it the perfect ending not trying to put a dramatic show or tension. I did not even mind the slow motion scenes which I usually hate as the movie kinds of sinks into your soul at some point.

This one is such a beautiful movie. Malayalam movies and movie makers - I love you!

I mean who expects an unknown (almost) star cast and a movie this grand!!! I am forced to give a 5 stars just coz this is a beautiful story told with grace. There were minor elements which didn't suit me as much, but then I have seen enough bad cinema to appreciate this effort.

Rony plays the role of his lifetime with wonderful grace and poise. Vincy has always been superb and she delivers with her vivacious portrayal. Azees is superb in his role.

Overall a must watch. Unfortunately available only on Sainaplay - but then I guess for all Malayalam movie fans ita worthwhile subscribing coz there are a few gems available here.
