In alto mare

One of the best mini series I watched in a long time. If you like detective stories and the "whodunnit" plots, this series is gold for you. Very well executed.

The power dynamics between the two leading roles, captain and detective, works marvellously. Great production value and frankly I cannot find any fault with any department, other than the misuse of one prop.

The writing is excellent as it unravels the story slowly in the right timing, mantaining suspense all the way. As opposed to the typical american shows, it does not overuse violence or SFX in order to create a spectacle. The strong writing and performances are spectacle on their own and they manage to keep the tension throughout.

Its binge worthy and deserves to be recognised as a work of art.
