Just finished all 6 episodes in one mourning (get it) and i really enjoyed. All the characters are really funny it reminds me of Stath Let's Flats/ This Country/ Mandy type humour but very original in itself at the same time. If you liked them you'll definitely enjoy this. Diane Morgan would fit perfectly into this show. Lucia's character is so vile looking and dresses like a sort of slop but have to say was pleasantly surprised when we see her glammed up for Nigella in episode 3. Selin Hizli is hilarious as Auntie Karen i'm pleased to see her back in such a funny role since her cameo in 'MUM' with Lisa Mcgrilis. Big fan of the character Dave too very funny delivery in his lines alongside step brother Lucas. Hope for a series 2 ASAP.
This show has all the elements to be loved by a wide demo, from the old grumpy nana to the most plain and absurd and plain gen z. The storyline follows the aftermath of a 21 years old homestead "female" (not a girl but far from being a strong and independent woman) who becomes an orphan after both her parents passed in a car crash. The essence of the show is parenthood following the current trend on the screens; portraying society raw and no filters.
Chi, the orphan, has never worked before or introduced with what responsibility or oneself is about tries to find her way in a world she doesn't really know or the people inhabiting it.
Each character is a perfect X-ray of ths age groups conforming society and how they interlude ideas collide in a juxtaposition view of life making them more alike than one cold believe.
The neo- nihilistic humor with strokes of absurd improbably-probable situations bring as a result a great 26 mins of laughs and scape of (one's own) reality.
They proved every single episode that big names or a big budget aren't necessary to achieve success, making laugh and crave for the next episode. This is a "most to be seen".
The Jicamito.

BBC commissioners must be insane to commission a series like this. The low standard of material is evident. They throw lots of comedic talent at it to try and make it work. But the central premise feels like a random person off the street was handed a show and let loose. There's nothing to like about the main characters. The central character Chi thinks she's original, but she's just a mash up of neurosis that we've seen before. She's the teenage daughter from Here We Go. She's the sister from Such Brave Girls. Bland, self-centred, consciously self-conscious. It's so boring. Where's the clever punchlines and the sitcom setups? This series thinks we should all laugh at awkwardness. And that's it. Look at the main characters being awkward and glancing at their phones. Oh, ha ha ha. What happened, BBC? You used to make world class sitcoms. Now, you make this.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I find most sitcoms so cringy and feel like majority of them are the same and try way too hard to be funny. Whereas this one I was laughing throughout the whole series, I genuinely cannot believe this was written from someone so young. The entire series was so well put together and every character was fantastic !!!! There is so much talent and can tell this is only the beginning of Lucia's career! I really cant wait to see what other things chi will be writing! I am super excited !! (Also hope there's a series 2 in the making) definitely recommend :))))

I am honestly a massive fan of absurdist stuff and theatre, and I think anyone leaving a poor review just doesn't get the fact that its absurdity is purposeful.
Then again, absurdity isn't for everyone. But for anyone who enjoys subversive/new comedic stuff that's satisfying but not laugh out loud (which I honestly prefer sometimes), you should definitely check this out.
Great writing from Lucia, and very well acted. Particularly loved Lucas and Karen. Thought Karen very accurately portrayed an uptight but ultimately caring (unwilling) maternal figure, and the absolute shenanigans the characters got up to made every episode unexpected and entertaining.
