Trama

A broke filmmaker falls for a younger, wealthy woman with a teen daughter. Their passionate romance faces challenges when they move in together, while he struggles with aging, pride, and artistic redemption.

A man jumps off the 12th floor of a building. The same man begins casting a woman for his new film. The man meets a woman 25 years younger, both fall madly in love. He was a successful artist, today he's penniless, living in the luxurious apartment of his dying mother. The woman is wealthy, bright and gorgeous, and has a daughter, 13. The couple dream of a future together. Their intimacy is of pure love and sensuality. The man invites the woman to move into his apartment, but the girl doesn't want to. Domestic arguments ensue, the apartment becomes intolerable. The man starts writing a new screenplay, but the woman has no interest in reading it. The daughter draws dark figures in her school notebook, locks herself in the bathroom and hates seeing her mother having sex with the man. The man's mother dies, the apartment must be surrendered. The woman fails to find a way into the soul of the man, all help she offers is perceived as humiliation rather than a lifeline. The ghost of old age grows in him, the fears of loneliness. The woman and her daughter leave the apartment to live in her new house; the daughter submerges on social media; the woman seeks companionship on dating apps. The man completes his screenplay, defeats the ghosts of the past and finds back to himself, to his work and his passion: a new film will be born, entitled El Vacío / The Emptiness.—Passport Films
