Bluff

For whatever reason, I forced myself through the entire first series (a single DVD). The story was just intriguing enough for me to give each following episode another chance. Sometimes in a new series it takes a while for the actor's chemistries and character building to really pull together... not the case here.The directing, editing and dialogue all seemed to be amateur at best and felt more like a "mock show". The characters dialogue and personalities were overly simple, predictable, and each one written as simple personality clichés. Underdeveloped would be the best way to describe the writing here.

I realized after a while that I was leaving the show running while I left to do other things; there was just nothing to hold me there, no connection to the story or to the characters. Overall watching this was time regrettably spent that I'll never back.

I would not recommend.

Not really - pretty much the worst. UNLESS - it was teachers on summer break who got the high school football video kid to film them in order to make vacation money. Then it's brilliant. Otherwise, have crackers on hand, it is a cheesy movie. My favorite line - and it came in the first 2 minutes - "She was taken between 3 & 4 in the morning. Talk to every shop owner and kid on a bike. Someone saw something!" Because kids and shop owners are out at 3AM? It is downhill from there. Just glad Prime Video has 10 second skip ahead.

Visual: This is an optically dark series. One leaves the program with a very "moody" feeling for reasons of both appearance and content.

Content: The storyline is contrived. It seems like the show tries to amateurishly recreate all the elements the production team think would sell, rather than developing a fresh approach. The result is a moody rehearsal of warmed up leftovers.

Acting: The character portrayal is forced. "Action" scenes seem unrealistic. Never did I feel as though I was "into" the show. I sat there instead, inwardly cringing at the characters.

Sorry, can't recommend.
