I want to believe that those who gave more than 4 are because they saw another movie. I don't recommend it even to my worst enemy. In the cinema everyone was dying of laughter at how bad this movie is. It is confusing, with plot holes, scenes taken from the sleeve, abrupt endings and beginnings. Of course, if you want to laugh at how bad it is, it is the right movie.
I would think the director wanted to end it quickly because it's embarrassing. I stayed at the theater because I wasn't going to waste the $1.5 that the ticket cost me, and I also hadn't finished my popcorn (although 1 hour and a half of my life is not worth it for this movie).

Could have been a good story with better writing, producing, and acting. The good parts were just enough to keep me watching but won't be watching it again. It's almost like every few minutes someone would yell "swap" and another writer would take over.
Or similar stories were spliced together to create this failed attempt at a good possession movie.
Maybe a high school assignment that somehow made its way to the movie world??
Almost like a theater class assignment where 3 different groups would step in with the gist and have 10 minutes to improv then have to hand it off to the next group.
Watch at your own risk but not the way most horror fans except.

Hard to get through. Noticed this had positive reviews, assuming from the crew and family and friends because this wouldn't even be worth it if you got paid to watch it. I made this account just to say this.
Another review mentions they only had 6 days to shoot, so I place blame on the director for lack of adequate time and attention to this film. Many scenes needed reshooting and the script needs revisions. The plot was easy to follow along with, and it did a great job of drawing you in from the hook. The hour following that, however, only leads to disappointment and wondering how much longer it has. Hopefully the director takes note, and adequately prepares for the next film to actually make something worthwhile.

Yeah, those biased high scores. Whew. Nice save, production and studio crew. This "movie" is more like a high school project with some brazen attempts to be scary or shocking. It's actually sad to watch this if you're a fan of the original Exorcist. You'll be rolling your eyes (or maybe spinning your head) at the weak acting and boring storyline. To make it worse, the filming scenes were too bright and the demon wasn't scary with their big white glowing eyes. I guess it's true that Hollywood offers nothing new and fresh. Just rehash more knockoff movies of cherished originals for a quick cash grab on the franchise. Watch it if you want, but you'll never get that time back and that's what's really scary.
Right, well initially I must admit that I thought that there might actually be something to this 2023 movie "The Exorcists" as it had Brad Dougley on the cast list. But then as the movie started, those two dreaded words appeared on the screen; The Asylum...
But still, I opted to watch the movie, as it was a horror movie that I hadn't already seen. And I guess that this was a mockbuster off of the 2023 movie "The Exorcist: Believer", as it is a movie from The Asylum. I haven't yet watched "The Exorcist: Believer" yet, though.
The storyline in "The Exorcists" was rather bland and generic. It was a textbook exorcism movie, but without being overly interesting, scary or particularly worth the 85 minutes that the movie ran for. I must say that I was not particularly entertained throughout the course of the sluggish narrative.
The acting performances in "The Exorcists" was adequate. Though you're not in for anything extraordinary, mind you. Of the entire cast, then I was only familiar with Doug Bradley.
Visually then "The Exorcists" wasn't bringing anything grand to the screen either. It was not a movie that made a use of a whole lot of special effects. I guess the budget simply wasn't available for that.
If you enjoy exorcism movies, then you might find something enjoyable here, if you look hard enough. However, as a casual viewer and a horror fan, I will say that writer and director Jose Prendes delivered a monotonous and forgettable movie.
My rating of "The Exorcists" lands on a three out of ten stars.
