Recensioni in evidenza
This film is supposed spinning off from Blue Lock, which is in the shonen literary magna genre. It geared towards younger readers, emphasized supposed idea of friendship, that cover sport/jock themed situations.
But this film has so much homoerotic tensions (characters' partial nudity, hyped up illustrated bodies, etc.) which is not a bad thing. It's just a little awkward in western perspectives but the story is tight.
Animation is just great to watch, making soccer interesting. The story of Reo and Nagi, as they challenge their "friendship" through soccer tournaments. They finds themselves always questioning their commitment towards each other.
Please watch only if you are supportive of Anime (and all of its intentional genres). Soundtrack is good with optical effects plumus voice talent is excellent with occasionally comedic jokes. Best in Japanese with English subtitles!

As a blue lock fan i was really looking forward to watch the movie. I think it wasnt bad as most of the review said but it wasnt a masterpiece either. I wont really recommend watching this before The blue lock tv series because (as i expected) they just recapped and took out a lot of thing. The tv show itself is better than the movie but it still worths to watch the movie.
Now to the movie: i found the background music kinda weird, there wasnt any plot twist, as i mentioned its more like a recap. It doesnt contains really flashy things and wont get you addicted to. Its just a slow movie for people to rewatch the tv show without actually spending 48 hours on it.
But i liked it:)

Whenever there's an anime showing in cinemas, I always try to find some spare time to watch it, hoping my support will lead to more anime being shown on the big screen in my home country. However, this time I was so disappointed that I wanted to leave the cinema before the end. The movie is lazy and mediocre in everything it does-from average animation and reusing the same frames multiple times to showing information via a wall of text. The pacing is off - rushing through all the original parts introduced from Nagi and Mikage's points of view and essentially recapping the second half of the movie with events from the anime/manga. Also lacking in any interesting songs, some parts of the movie don't even have background music for longer periods of time.
If you're already familiar with the Blue Lock story, Nagi and Mikage's points of view, which show their narrative and motivation, aren't compelling enough to warrant watching. If you're unfamiliar with Blue Lock, I recommend going for the TV series or the Shounen Magazine serialization. The movie's pacing, skipping key plot elements, and lack of character introduction and backstory will result in a miserable and confusing experience.

Is this even a movie? It feels like a season one recap but from a different point of view. We have pretty much seen everything from this movie except the first few minutes where they showed Nagi and Reo's backstory. Other than that, there was nothing interesting about this movie.
The animation was really mid. If anything, it was worse than the anime. Some shots had weird character proportions and it felt like the studio rushed this movie. Wait, did they even rush it? Cause they reused a lot of clips from season one, lmao. The only thing that carried this movie was the soundtrack. It was amazing.
I don't know if it's just the plot, or the movie as a whole, but Nagi being the main star of this movie failed to keep me engaged. I understand that he is just a lazy guy but it makes this whole movie so boring. Even if we were shown with another side of him and his emotions for Reo, I still didn't feel much for him.
My only question is only why is this even made into a movie? It could've been a short episode to show Nagi and Reo's backstory, because the rest is just a short recap of season one. Who agreed to make this movie anyways?
As a Blue Lock fan, I want to say that it's better to not watch this movie. Please save your money.

Just Got out of a Screening of Blue Lock Episode Nagi.
Every Character can do amazing things, so it's just so boring.
👎 - The Score, the Matches, the Main Character, everything is just so dull. If you want to watch a proper anime Sports Film, Watch Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle👍. It's way better, it has Concepts and Techniques of Play and is way more engaging than this Snoozefest.
⚽ - And What's Point of the The Blue Lock Training Facility? Just to eliminate people round by round? That's it? There's Nothing Special about this Damn Facility. There's no build up, or no Special training to become better, pretty much everyone is already phenomenal, so what's the point?
👎 - The actual matches are boring and not exciting because everyone is doing amazing things.
😴 - And Nagi is such a drag to be around, literally listening to him speak will put you to sleep. Does he want to be a football player or what? He's boring as hell, constantly whining about "This is Such a hassle", "That's Such a hassle". What a Drag.
Overall, an absolute waste of time at the Cinema.
