The Wild Ones

Incredibly filmed, the footage was insane, felt like I was there with them. The guys are all loveable and genuine, their passion for conservation is inspiring. Each episode tugs at your heart strings and takes you on a journey. It teaches you about the impact that we humans have on the wildlife we share this beautiful planet with. We're loosing an incredibly large amount of animals through poaching and loss of environment. Seeing these endangered animals up close and connecting to them was an incredible honour. The Wid Ones is a must watch. I'm really hoping they embark on more adventures to keep raising awareness and creating solutions to help more endangered animals! Legends.

Am family friend of the burleys, so was quite strange to see Dec on the tv but felt like I was along for the ride. Thoroughly enjoyed watching his antics but also seeing the skilled side. His knowledge and capability are clearly there, and it helped shed light on the many difficulties creatures face not only through humanities interference but also just the difficulties they have overall.

Was fascinating to see the different places visited, the challenges overcome, the poop water avoided.

Very much want to see more, a season 2 (and beyond) would be lovely.

First, it is masterful in the beauty of the places they go. The nature, the people they met, the animals they capture on film - gorgeous!

Then you an honored to spend your time with the people, both in front of and behind the camera, who are dedicated to kindness. Kindness towards others, kindness towards each other, and kindness toward the animals they worked so hard to help.

This series is masterful in showing us we all have to be better. And we need to be better stewards to those we are responsible for.

Some amazing insights into some unbelievable habitats. This series shines a light on the challenge facing some of the rarest animals on the planet, without the stuffy feel that you sometimes get with traditional wildlife documentaries.

Some hard hitting images of real world conservation challenges that really highlights the need to protect these habitats from poaching and fragmentation.

The cast seem to have a genuine camaraderie and piss taking spirit that makes this a really fun show to watch. A great mix of characters that I haven't seen in other similar shows before.

Hopefully this is the start of a new branch of wildlife media! Very much recommend!

I'm not generally a fan of nature series, but The Wild Ones is decidedly different from what I'd normally expect to see. For that reason, it's absolutely must-watch television.

The six episodes highlight six very specific endangered species, some of which have never or rarely been seen by human eyes. The three featured guys aren't professional researchers; they're experts in logistics and photography, so they're down-to-earth and generally in awe of the creatures they're searching for and the terrain they call home.

If you're looking to see tons of shots of animals, you'll be very disappointed (except maybe in the last episode), as most of the payoff shots come in the last few minutes. However, if you're up for a series of nearly impossible missions, you'll likely enjoy The Wild Ones as much as I did.

Hopefully, there are more episodes to come in the future. If not, these are a great testament to the tremendous efforts of three men in promoting conservation and animal welfare. Rating: 9.5.
