A slow drama movie.

This movie is about a bunch of stories put together. It felt like watching a TV Serial. All the stories have sad endings with somewhat dull events. It is a film that moves along very slowly and feels like days in the lives of people, to a point of being boring. Even though the running time is only two hours, the film feels overly lengthy. The cinematography is pretty good. Background scores and songs were not impressive . The actors definitely worked with what they had, but it was just unimpressive and didn't make me feel anything other than boredom. Overall it's just a slow drama movie. Nothing much to watch.

Kadha Innuvare

Kadha Innuvare

A small movie throwing light on romance over various stages of life.

The plot of the movie revolves around the romance developed in a man's life at teenage, adolescence, adulthood & middle age.

Vishnu has given good detailing to the characters in the movie and their varied mannerisms over age but the background formation given for characters on the screen seems a bit hurry burry to the viewers and lost connection in few areas but well culminated in the climax giving a four dimensional outlook and meaning to the title card.

Subtle delivery by Biju Menon and a humble beginning by Methil Devika. 👍 Matured performance by Anusree in her role alongside Hakkim Shajahan who managed to pullout his character brilliantly. 👏👏

The idea the writer conveys makes the movie worth a watch.

Rating - 3/5.

Slow and illogical

First of all the movie is very slow. Not much entertaining anywhere from the start. Second, there are many illogical situations like loving a prostitute and introducing her to the friends who have already slept with her. Accepting inter caste marriage even when one is highly religious. These kinds of anthropology movies have come a lot. However, this movie is neither entertaining nor give any logical reasoning in the movie, making it unworthy to watch it. Wasted my time watching this, hence my advice to others to not waste your time seeing this from prime video.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Slow but solid

The film has a slow pace and a dark tone, unusual for a Malayalam movie, but it ends on a hopeful note. While some scenes feel clichéd, they remain enjoyable. The characters and their surroundings are well portrayed in most parts, immersing the audience in the story.

For a regular viewer, the movie is an enjoyable experience with moments of relatability and charm. However, from a critic's perspective, there are several points where the handling of situations could have been more mature, offering room for debate and varied opinions on the narrative choices made.

Worth watching it according to my opinion. Not sure why these many negative reviews for a movie of this genre, where slowness and portrayal of emotions are expected.

An Exploration of Life and Emotions

This film is undeniably far ahead of its time, offering a narrative that not everyone will immediately grasp. The story delves into the various stages of a person's life, weaving interconnected emotions in a way that feels deceptively simple yet profound. At first glance, its straightforward approach might seem unremarkable, but there are moments-often in the form of a seemingly simple scene-that deliver powerful messages, leaving an awe of its depth.

For those who are able to understand the subtleties, this movie may seem "cringe" to some, but it's an intentional break from the typical stereotypes and societal norms we often accept without question. It challenges preconceived notions and pushes boundaries in a refreshing way.

The performances are a standout. Every actor brings to life a character that feels deeply rooted in everyday experiences. But notable comes from Sir Appunni Sasi, whose character is rich in both emotion and complexity. The performance is nothing short of brilliant-emotional, nuanced, and unforgettable. After each scene, it lingers on your mind long after.

Hakkim Shajajahan's performance is another gem. It's a challenge to portray a character who is constantly "low" or subdued, but Hakkim does so with an authenticity that makes the character's journey heartbreaking and relatable. His ability to convey the depth of love, hope, and loss is a testament to his acting prowess.

More than just a story, this film carries a social message. It shines a light on what we often take for granted and how we chastise things simply to conform to the expectations of society. It asks us to reflect on how we live, behave, and how we should approach our relationships and emotional connections.

In essence, this movie serves as a reminder of our humanity, urging us to be more compassionate, more understanding, and more real in a world that is increasingly losing touch with these core values. It's a film that resonates, not just as a piece of cinema, but as a reflection of who we are and who we could be.
