Hong Sang-soo is a interesting filmmaker as while he hasn't fully amazed me, I have seen majority of his work and I found them to be simple yet meditative and calm as his works captures the essence of ordinary life. In Our Day isn't one of his best works but it's an interesting simple story about life and people with good conversations and dialogue from the cast members and interesting themes.
Hong's style is simple yet interesting as his approaches on his themes are well-handled and investing. The dialogue, while at times does feel a bit too staged within the setting, feels genuine. The performances from the cast are good and there are some interesting themes about everyday life that worked pretty well.
While it isn't Hong's most ambitious work as there are some lightening and pacing that could be better. Overall, it's a solid feel-good type movie from Hong. Cute cats too.

. I expected more than just idiotic and completely unrealistic characters. The advertising for electronic cigarettes was ridiculous. Anyone with a minimum of education and common sense knows that it is harmful to health. The script is empty and the dialogues are childish. An elderly poet who has never seen a non-alcoholic beer is bizarre. It would be a good chance to understand the daily life of a rich and diverse culture, but that didn't happen. The interview that the boy does with the poet is embarrassing, it shows exactly how shallow and childish the script is. The film is an idiotic experience.
