Atmospheric, intense, brutal.
If you are a fan of the series this should float your boat... Caught up in the labyrinthine halls of a Weyland- Yutani building, constantly keeping check of your motion tracker, vitally aware of your bullet count... and of the stresses of xenomorph encounters on your marines. This is a game that i feel catches the intensity of the films.
Mechanics take a minute to master but after that it all feels natural. And the management part of the game was a delightful surprise.
Soundtrack is excellent with the audio styling from the Aliens movie.
Worth a try, for sure.

I like AND hate this game. Its controls are garbage, it's buggy, some elements of its gameplay are nonsensical (i.e.: you can't level up during a mission-- you must wait for extraction, among other things), and perhaps worst of all, its storyline is bad. If you showed its opening scene to me then told me to write the hackiest backstory for the villain's motivation, I would have nailed it.
BUT I like that it's a break from the usual first-person shooter, and I like that it's a rare decent single player game. It has engaging tactics, and you must think while you play it. You cannot do the usual button-mashing sleepwalk. The environment is usually immersive, and sometimes you might even get nervous while you're playing it.
Overall, it's somewhat good.

I did not finish the game. For me it had so many problems that I couldn't get too far into it.
But the tutorial killed me completely my mood to play this game. Why because it's one of those slow tutorials where you have to do exactly what it tells you so the moment you actually get to play the game I at least were so worn out that I didn't want to continue.
And at least playing it on the PS5 the controls feel so clunky that it is a nightmare to do anything really I feel like this could be done way more smoothly but God it's clunky.
This is not a usually tactical gaming im used to I'm more of a Fire Emblem cable and XCOM so this is just a wimp, I bought it. It is way too clunky compared to the other games so hopefully it will work better for you.
