I like this movie because it introduced each of the characters by taking unique point of view, it makes the audience can feel the joy of the movie. Especially when introducing Ian with his noodles and porn movies . The friendship between them is filled with love story during their journey to MahameruMountain, it was so funny and full of love.

5 cm is a drama film with several adventure aspects about 5 friends who traveled up the mountain to Mahameru Peak (Mount Sumeru, the highest volcano in Java), packed with several elements (love, comedy, nationalism, etc.). The character has been introduced quite well at first and developed well in the storyline that is not only centered on one character (Zafran becomes the main character). Overall the acting is pretty good and the actors can send the situation, so the audience feels the same. Music soundtracks are arranged and presented in films with perfect time. The most important cinematography shows many beautiful natural scenery in the setting. (Where this film won the 2013 FFI award for the best cinematographer). It also promotes climbing options for climbers to visit. In the end, there is also some enlightenment about each character and moral fiber that is good for viewers. The best to watch & highly recommended for audiences who have old friendships and people who want adventure.

Pros: 1. Sinematografinya epic. Ditunjang dengan keindahan alam pendakian ke gunung semeru, lautan awan.. sangat memanjakan mata.

2. Komedi-komedi di awal film penempatannya cukup baik. (sampai ke adegan taman sebelum berpisah wkwk) 3. Penceritaan mudah diikuti sih. Nda bikin mengantuk.

Cons: 1. Pengembangan cerita terasa kurang. Awalnya tentang petualangan dan persahabatan, tiba-tiba beralih total ke nasionalisme, lha endingnya tiba-tiba jadi romance. Wkwk (apalagi pas scene nasionalisme, lebay skali anj) 2. Dialog-dialog aneh dan kaku, cringe, over puitis, too much. Harusnya npp sih, tapi pembawaan ensemble cast yang overdramatic dengan nada deklamasi bikin jijik di telinga wkwk.. dan dilakukan berulang-ulang hahaha.

3. Too many adegan yang tidak realistis dan lebay (ex: adegan kereta, batu, etc) 4. Konflik internal antar sahabat yang harusnya ditonjolkan malah nda terlihat apalagi menjelang akhir. Sesimple itu penyelesaiannya wkwk.

The inseparable film from five friends, that really inspired and made me jealous. They are Genta, Arial, Zafran, Riani, and Ian. Friendship that has the power of strong beliefs and dreams. Five friends who have different characters who are very solid with other friends. They believe in dreams that are placed 5 cm in front of the forehead. Those who traveled up the mountain to the summit of Mount Sumeru called the Mahameru Peak, the highest volcano on Java. Films that are packed with elements of comedy, love, friendship, nationalism make me not tired of watching it, even 3 times I watch it.















Overall the film is really good. In terms of storyline, the setting of the place or location of shooting, players, and acting are good and very animated in every scene. Although the title is simple but it gives a lot of moral messages to the audience. Especially for nature lovers, this film can inspire to visit the interesting and beautiful natural spots recorded in the film. However, there are some spots that are certainly not included in the film when traveling up the mountain, because it is indeed a tough terrain, so only certain spots are taken by the camera. There is never a feeling of regret to watch this film.

The characters're introduced quite well in the beginning and developed well in the storyline which doesn't center only on one character (Zafran being the main character). Overall the acting's pretty good and the actors're able to send out the situations,so the audience may feel the same too. Soundtrack music's arranged and presented in the movie with the perfect timing. Most importantly the cinematography shows many wonderful natural sceneries in the settings.(in which got the film to win 2013 FFI's award for the best cinematographer). It also promotes a climbing spot option for the climbers to visit. In the end, there're also some enlightenments about each character and a good moral fiber for the viewers. Best to watch & greatly recommended for the audiences who have a longtime friendship and people who'd like to go on an adventure.
