While Nina and her trusty aide Awan are busy with solid detective work, several story strands intertwine on Jim's portion of the show. His trip to Las Vegas with Saxton has plenty of surprises, including an amusing turn by character actor Tom Nelis as a weird old Howard Hughes, while the secret of what's inside the $1,000,000 metal briefcase is revealed, after enough clues that even I guessed what it was!

Michael Horowitz's clever screenplay even manages somehow to get a film clip of Steve McQueen's classic Mustang versus Charger chase from "Bullitt" into the show, and a conspiracy theory worthy of Oliver Stone is Injected by Mr. Hughes into the mystery surrounding the murder of Jim's brother Joey! All building up to a multiple cliff-hanger ending.
