As a doctor, wife and mother, Jana Hansen leads a fulfilled life that she has built up exactly according to her ideas. With her husband Christian, for whom she moved to his hometown of Husum, Jana forms a harmonious couple who share the upbringing of ten-year-old Lotta fairly. Since Jana and Christian are still passionately crackling after 15 years together, she would never have any doubts about his loyalty. In his charming manner, Christian can explain conclusively why, as a project developer, he has to work longer hours than his team or why he often spends the night away from clients in the evening. When the brunette Jana finds a blond hair on his scarf one morning, she suddenly fears the previously unimaginable. Without her husband noticing anything, Jana is now trying to find out whether her suspicions are confirmed.

The shock runs deep: Jana Hansen now knows that her husband Christian is having an affair. It hurts especially how shamelessly he lies and makes her believe that everything only exists in her imagination. In a mixture of pain, anger and disappointment, Jana considers leaving him immediately. When Christian comes home drunk from his birthday party late at night, he doesn't realize that his suitcases are in the hallway. When Jana confides in her colleague Pari Farhadi, she begins to realize the true extent of Christian's double life. His significantly younger lover, about whom Jana begins to research, is also no stranger. Without putting her cards on the table, the doctor takes the opportunity for an unspoken confrontation. What is now coming to light makes the situation even more dramatic than Jana feared.

What the doctor finds out makes the breach of trust even more dramatic. Her husband not only leads a double life, but is also in financial difficulties, which he is hiding from her. If Jana doesn't intervene immediately, she risks losing everything she worked so hard for. In order to be able to manipulate Christian's lover, Jana puts a young woman on her who is supposed to make friends with the pregnant woman.

In the meantime, the betrayed woman knows everything about her husband's double life, secretly reads his mobile phone correspondence and tries to avert the complete financial ruin caused by his windy construction projects. In addition, she no longer wants to pretend to anyone - neither Frederick's wife Wiebke nor the parents of her younger competitor. When she leaves with Christian for dinner at Knud and Mette's, he has no idea that she's about to strike the final blow.
