Recensioni in evidenza
Two strangers meet at a bus station. One is obviously rich and has enough money to spend randomly, has no hesitancy in invading other people's space for his own happiness. The other one is the poor guy whose mother is hospitalized and is struggling to arrange money required for her treatment. The two meet and embark on a unplanned journey, as the poor guy hopes to get the rich guy to help him out with the money he needs. Instead they bond over and learn about each other's lives while life teaches them a lesson which one is eager to learn while the other has no other choice but to learn.
Asif Ali and Suraj Venjaramoodu are aptly cast in the role of the rich Prince and the poor Sathyapriyan, whose names are revealed only in the climax. I understood what the writer and director intended to make with these two characters, from different backgrounds and even more different look at life altogether. But the writing leaves a lot to be desired as Asif Ali tries to bring his character to life, there is no credible moment to accept why others would tolerate this stranger. There was scope to explore, a well off man with his family caring for him and he still feels lonely but the scenes don't really get fleshed out to back the character arc. The more we learn about his family, I felt lesser connected to his predicament with his biggest regret was about his ex-girlfriend.
On the other hand, the more relatable character was the one played by Suraj and here is a guy who has completely accepted his fate, doesn't even try to fight it. There is guilt and helplessness in him while he feels rightfully shy to take advantage of his new friend. He understands Prince better than Prince understands Sathyapriyan. He not just accompanies him till the end but stays as his true friend, taking care of him. Rich no matter how much they wander will eventually find their destination while the poor are left stranded to wander line is elevated by Suraj's character. With better writing, Adios Amigo could have been a memorable feel good cinema but ends up way too short of it.

Adios Amigos delivers a heartfelt blend of humor, camaraderie, and emotion, making it an engaging watch for fans of feel-good cinema. The film focuses on the journey of three friends embarking on an adventurous trip, filled with moments of laughter, challenges, and self-discovery.
The screenplay strikes a balance between lighthearted moments and emotional depth, though it occasionally feels stretched. The performances of the lead actors are commendable, as they bring authenticity to their roles and effectively capture the essence of true friendship. The supporting cast also contributes significantly, adding layers to the narrative.
The cinematography is a highlight, beautifully capturing the scenic backdrops of their journey. The music complements the tone of the film, enhancing its emotional appeal. However, the pacing could have been tighter, especially in the second half, where certain sequences feel predictable and slightly repetitive.
Despite its minor flaws, Adios Amigos is a relatable and heartwarming film that emphasizes the importance of cherishing relationships and living in the moment. It's a movie worth watching, especially if you're looking for a story that celebrates friendship and life.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely, though it might resonate more with those who enjoy character-driven narratives with an emotional core.

2 hours 36mins? Really.. The movie was enjoyable and the story is good enough.. but the length was too much.. Many unwanted and repetitive scenes.. Unfortunately most of the jokes didn't work out for me .
But i didn't feel regret watching this movie.. i felt good in the end.. Should've been 1 hour 45 minutes.. Liked the performance of suraj and asif, but asifs acting as a drunkard felt a bit off in the beginning, but later on it got better.. One unnecessary song was in the middle.. Hema's character felt unnecessary.. Anyway , i liked the movie.. maybe i am also in need of a rich friend like him to settle my debts..

Watching the movie Adios Amigos was like being stuck in long traffic. The only feeling was to get out very soon. The genre is comedy drama but there was hardly any laughs. Suraj venjaramoodu plays as an irresponsible person and has performed well. The cinematography and the background score was good .But the weak screenplay and direction has sunk the movie .Asif ali plays an irritating rich character with drunk philosophical words and has succeeded in irritating the audience. He has made the word 'Boss' irritating. He portrays a very rich character who doesn't have an ATM card. The movie was too long and slow. Most of the first half was not required, just like the rest of the movie. Overall it is a very boring movie.
Just when I thought there couldn't possibly be a "substandard" Malayalam movie, along comes #AdiosAmigo. Despite the presence of capable actors like Suraj Venjaramoodu and Asif Ali, this is a futile movie. What is the narrative exactly about? After meeting at a bus stop, two men decide to travel together. Since they don't have a set destination, they go to different places and spend time together. The disparities between the affluent and the poor are amply displayed in the movie. There are some wealthy individuals who believe that having money is irrelevant if it cannot be used to assist the underprivileged. There are some poor people who desperately need money to clear their medical bills but are unable to procure funds for the same. Performances are good. Running time needs to be reduced by 25 minutes. Rating 1.5/5.
