This 'film' is not a NEW movie. When you book it, it literally tells you that this is the two final episodes of season 2 and the brand new season 3 premiere.
I have no idea why so many people are moaning that they got scammed. Do they lack any patience and fail to read things before getting annoyed that their biases were wrong?
As for this showing- it's a lot of fun. Episode 10 looks amazing on the big screen, episode 11 is a gut-wrenching tale and the season 3 premiere looked amazing on the big screen.
One con is that they didn't remove the credits for episodes 10 and 11, leading to some awkward pauses in the flow.

Demon slayer looks and sounds immaculate on the big screen. Unfortunately though, the film is ultimately three episodes stitched together - credits and all.
The first part is the last two episodes of the entertainment district arc, while the last part is the start of the next series.
The new content looks great and builds anticipation for the new series. We get to meet the rest of the upper rank demons against a familiar backdrop that is mind bendingly beautiful.
I was hoping to see some more colourful demon slayer action in this movie. Instead, a large proportion of the last part of the film is slapstick comedy and loud wailing from the characters.
All in all, I was somewhat disappointed but still enjoyed it overall.

Seeing anime in a theater is a special experience in the United States, because you know that everyone who's joining you loves the genre and is just as excited as you for what they're about to see.
This special event was no exception, and it was well worth the trip to the theater for anyone who is a fan of the series.
As far as the content of the special, it is presented as you would see them on TV... as episodes. They keep the intros, the end credits, the songs, and the episodes end as they normally would, just without the ad breaks. That would be my one and only critisicm of this event. I believe it would have felt just a bit more special if the studio had removed those openings and end credits, and made some adjustments to the sound and footage to string it together as a film, that way the audience would have a slightly more unique experience than they would have, simply binge-watching the episodes in one go at home.
That being said, the episodes are fantastic. Amazing fight sequences and animation, a subplot that nearly makes you cry, and of course getting viewers excited for the upcoming season. Absolutely worth seeing in the short window that it will be in the theater.

The movie is not worth it to see in theaters at all. I was expecting something similar to the second season that went more in depth for the train arc. Maybe seeing them go through their recovery and training and idk just not 60 percent of stuff I can see on crunchy roll already. It's like someone just mashed the last three episodes of the entertainment district arc into one video. Multiple credits that you would see while streaming a show. It's basically a recap with an advance screening of the first episode of the sword smith arc. Better off waiting for the new season to come out. Honestly not worth the money to see in theaters at all.
Attention everyone: The trailers and videos for this "film" tell you exactly what you're going to see. Technically, this isn't even a new "film" persay. As it tells you in the trailer, this is Episode 10 and 11 of the Entertainment District Arc, an introduction to the Upper Rank Demons, then Episode 1 of the Swordsmith Arc. People are leaving 1-Star reviews as if they weren't aware of that going into the theaters. It clearly states what I just said, so please keep that in mind.
With that being said, it provides fans and viewers an opportunity to watch the epic finale episodes of the Entertainment District on the big screen, while also getting a first inside look at the Upper Ranks and the Swordsmith Village Arc. It's not all "new" content like how Mugen Train was a brand new movie that no one had seen, and it tells you that beforehand. That's the way I see it.
As a fan myself, I still think it's awesome to see. I'm not going to complain about watching Demon Slayer theaters. It's still the same top tier animation, epic fighting sequences, and characters that we all know and love, but displayed on the big screen!
People that are leaving a 1-Star review are just silly. Did you not read what it was before you decided to go? It tells you exactly what you're going to get, so don't act surprised and call it a "cash grab." Bottom line: it's Demon Slayer in theaters. Enjoy it while it's here and have a good time!

A lot of you dislike about the movie because it's mostly recap and poorly edited together. Yes, that is true, but holy the new episode makes up for it. The cgi animation completely blows every other anime out of the water. The camera controls and large scale shots were immaculate, and the comedy afterwards was great too. And some of you may say it's bad because there were no action scenes, but I think it would be weird to expect another fight right after the last season ended. So overall, this is a great movie, but it should have been edited together more seamlessly. I did find sitting through credits 2 times midway through the movie a bit weird.
They were completely upfront in saying that this was the last two episodes of Season 2 and the double length premiere of Season 3. If you are mad that this is that, blame it on your own ignorance.
Seeing that penultimate episode on the big screen alone is worth the price for me. The Season 3 premiere was a solid first episode, but I'm glad they included the last two to give some action, as S3E1 is largely a setup episode. Even if it'd be cool to have seen more of next season, it was cool to get the sneak peek. And the new opening was great.
This was a really fun experience, especially since I'd waited to watch the two final episodes of Season 2.

The anime it self is a masterpiece . An anime or any movie is made with story, acting, screen play, art etc. But this anime stand's out because the animation is outstanding. And the stories are mediocre. The story is not very good or very bad actually I personally like it. This anime is very unique in animation. And other things are very mediocre. This anime is for 10 years and up . But I think the adults would not like this very much because it lacks very important things like r-rated dialogues , r-rated violence .
So yeah 👍 it lacks in many things but animation gives them a extra push to be a good anime . I suggest this animated everyone.

I can't believe how amazing this premier was, it's was absolutely beautiful, I was so happy that I got to re-experience something I already love and they made it even better by getting on the big screen!
And the entire HOUR we got for the next arc was fantastic and the fact that they were able to show off their improved animation and skills in just an hour, without needing a single fight, really shows how hard they work and how much they care for this story that they are bringing to life!
And for all you ILLITERATE BABIES who can't read and understand that they didn't promise a new movie and we got to rewatch the last 2 episodes from the best Arc so far.
I can honestly say I genuinely despise you for being born and trying to ruin this fantastic studios reputation and tank the views of the new seasons PREMIER. We were lucky enough to get a whole HOUR of the new arc; there's more content from the new arc than both episodes of the previous arc combined in this showing.

I was actually expecting a movie like mugen train but was really dissapointed to find out that its really jist a sneak peek to season 3. As a recap, they really just replayed last 2 episodes of season 2 then rest of 45 minutes was what seemed to be one episode of season 3.
However, although disappointing i still had a good time rewatching gyutaro vs Tengen on the big screen with enhanced sound effects. Seeing all the uppermoons and next two Hashiras was really the only good thing out of the 2 hours but that makes me more hyped for next season.
Would i recommend this movie? No i would not even though i still enjoyed it. Idk if they were trying something new but Mugen train movie was so mich better. I would recommend just watching episodes on crunchy roll from now on.

If you go into this cinematic experience expecting another Mugen Train, you will be disappointed. However, none of the marketing materials I saw implied this, so I came into this with my expectations tempered. This movie is advertised as being the final two episodes of the Entertainment District arc and the first episode of the Swordsmith Village arc. And that's exactly what it is, along with some new introductory material at the very beginning. I did dock a couple of stars because I think the episodes should have been edited together more seamlessly, but, as far as I know, that was never implied from the trailers or announcements, so I'm not upset about it. I just think it would have made for an all-around better experience.
However, I thought this film was still great for what it was. I remember watching the final episodes of the Entertainment District arc and thinking, "I wish I could watch this in a theater," so I would have jumped at the chance for that by itself, let alone a preview of the new arc.
So, if you haven't seen the film yet and are expecting another true movie experience like Mugen Train, adjust your expectations. Know that this film is three complete episodes back to back to back, with two of them being already released material. If that makes you not want to watch, then don't! Save your money and wait for the new arc to start streaming in April. But if you just want to experience some of the best action so far in Demon Slayer on the big screen plus an early start to the upcoming arc, then this just might be for you.

I love Demon Slayer, the animation, the emotional stakes, the rich aesthetic and the Entertainment district Arc was a great storyline. So I was really anticipating this second movie.
Except this is not a movie. This is 3 episodes screened in a cinema with recap clips before to make it a bit longer. They literally kept each opening song and each end credits. And of course we've seen the 2 first episodes as they are the conclusion of Entertainment District. Don't get me wrong those are great episodes and they look magnificent on a large screen but it's an awkward experience to show it the episodic way.
Then we get the first episode of the Swordsmith Village Arc which is gorgeous and absolutely fun but doesn't have the structure of a movie either. It's an hour long but it's an episode. It starts with amazing visuals and chilling scenes and then focusses on comedic bits like those filler episodes until the end. I don't understand why they didn't make a movie out of the first episodes of Swordsmith village, keeping the atmosphere unique and a linear storyline. Even if it wasn't a full story like Mugen Train it would still be enjoyable as an introduction to that Arc.
But no, they had one episode ready and basically found the best way to make the most money out of us, gullible fans. I'm ok with that if it pays for all those fantastic fight visuals but don't push it to far Ufotable!

This would really be 8 or 9 for me but I'm giving it a 5 because this doesn't need to be a trend.
I really liked what they did with Mugen Train and the movie being the first half of the last season of the show.
Here though? I knew it was going to be the last episodes of last season and the first episode of the next season but...
I didn't mind it in this case because at the end of last season, as I was watching it, I thought to myself that I'd really like to see these scenes on the big screen. With that... the episodes from last season were fine but did you have to put credits at the end of them and even the opening theme to it? There were even a few times it did the cut as if it was going to commercial(we all know how anime does that-don't bring that part of it to theaters). They briefly recapped the first season and 2nd season near the beginning.
I could understand if they were going to add some deleted scenes to the previous episodes or something but that's not what this was.
Because of all that, for that new material, it honestly wasn't worth the price of admission for just that. What should've been about 1 hour, and 10 minutes ended up being stretched out to a runtime of 1 hour, and 50 minutes.
If you're going to reuse old stuff and take my money, at least don't waste my time.

They literally tell you when you buy the tickets that it's gonna be a recap of the last season. They tell you that it's gonna be the last two episodes and an hour long episode from the next season. It was honestly nice to have a recap and the animation was just way too good to ignore. People are calling it a "cash grab" but it's literally a premiere for the next season. Maybe people should just do research before buying tickets. I thought it lived up to the hype and is a good way to set up for the next season when they release it. Anyway I'm short by 64 characters and this last sentence is just filler lol.

For what the film did I say it was great, watching the last two episodes from season 2 and then finally seeing the first episode and how they portrayed many of the characters is amazing and the animations keeps on getting better and better. 10/10 anime for sure and trust me you wanna see it. Also people should know this was a recap they said it in the trailer which is the only reason why people are complaining. I think many people are going to love this movie because they just can't wait to see the new season and the way that these people voice these characters makes it 10 times more amazing than in my opinion better than the manga.

Honestly when getting my tickets for demon slayer, I knew what I was getting myself into. I knew of the recap from the entertainment district and I loved every second of it. I was even crying during the flashback scene between the demon siblings.
Now for the Swordsman Village reaction OH MY GOD, that episode kicked things out of the park. The animation was fluid as hell. And even though there was a cliffhanger, I am excited to see what the new season has to offer. Cause if it's anything like this new episode, then it's going to be amazing. The story gave a plot twist that I was totally not expecting, and I loved it.

I liked this "movie." It's not really a movie, but it's great. I for one never watched the anime (pls don't hate on me), and i think it's nice that they show the last two episodes of entertainment district, and then we get third sesons first episode, it's Made so this story conects, not like you are gonna get first three episodes, then it would be stupid like then the story dosen't conect, like i get that fans memorize every second of all sesons episodes, but then it dosen't conect the story how i said. It was a fun expirience for me and it ain't a scam or a Cash grab like it was said in the descripcion that it's the last two episodes of season two and a new episode of season three, overall great expirience !

I could see how fans of the anime would be upset about this being mostly rehash episodes. However, seeing it presented in a theatrical format was actually really good. The animation and sound design really benifit from being put up on the big screen. It felt epic. Now, I've never seen the anime myself and went to this on a whim because I've already seen everything else in theaters at the time. This made me want to watch the anime. I was invested by the time it ended. The first episode of the (I'm assuming from what I've read) 3rd season is a bit underwhelming as there are no fight sequences, just a bit of tying things up from the last season. It didn't really need to be a part of this and might have benifitted by stricly being a recap of the previous season. My only issue with this compilation film is the multiple opening and ending credit sequences. Those should have been edited out and the episodes should have been edited together for a more fluid experience. So, in that, I understand the issues fans of the series would have had with that in particular. Overall, even with all the blanks I had to fill in the story, I was entertained enough to give this a positive review and say that I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This movie consists of an AMV with scenes from the entire series, Episodes 10 and 11 from the Entertainment District
Arc and Episode 1 from the Swordsmith Village Arc. The animation of this anime is cinema material so it was a nice experience watching it on the big screen. Also, I live in Greece and I have to support anime movies coming to our cinemas. It is only the 4th or 5th anime movie that made it to my country's cinemas. I had already watched the Entertainment District Arc, so nothing new there. But the new introduction to the new arc was nice, I am really eager to see what comes next. It was kinda sad to see that the producers just merged the episodes together, they didn't bother to remove ending titles, or the panels in the middle of the episode.
The stupidity in these rating is mind blowing. Obviously none of these reviewers aka random hate boys can read what so ever. It was never ment or in any way advertised as something else as it was. The last to episodes of the last season and the first one of the new season. To see the fight on the big screen with the sound and everything was PHENOMENAL. It would have been worth it just for the fight episode. It was just a perfect experience. Everybody in the packed cinema had a great time. And the first episode was what a first episode should be. Introducing new characters, setting the stage. Nothing else and it does exactly that. So please do yourself a big favor and miss out on an glorious experience just because some people are obviously braindead.
It was in NO WAY a cash grab, it is very very nice to put this fantastic fight on the big screen and hype up the new season. Which will be great, thats for sure.

The greatest thing about Demon Slayer is that it is while watching one of the best entertainment and just action in general it just feels so on that top up things with the looks and the action and the characters it just doesn't let down in the pacing. It is wonderful the moment you're watching it.
The main character is a Golden Retriever in anime form and is so lovable the cast is just so nice and so well characterized. It's just a wonderful cast of characters to see destroy horrible demons.
Animation and framing is so good. It is impossible to look away. It has the colors and the movement and the animation skill to make it one of the best looking shows when it is out every year.
And the blacksmith arc has some good characters and we see some new characters. It has some problems. I am beginning to get annoyed by getting the backstory on characters in the middle of Fight like three different times and I think the anime needs more downtime to make me care about the character on a deeper level.
But I really enjoyed this enemy. It is so fun to watch it while watching it is a 10 out of 10, but then I stop watching it and start think about it realize.
The anime doesn't have Much depth to think about it is one of the best popcorn experience I can have but it lack depth to think about.
But the Themes it has is good. I like that helping other people is rewarding in itself because it always good to be a helpful person. How never to give up when things are hard because maybe some people down the line can be the people to solve the problem. I like it. I like it. It's simple but I like it.
But the simple things are worth appreciating and I think this is a wonderful anime.

This is not a movie.
I repeat.
It's a rerun of the last season finale all stitched together lazily. (You also sit through all the intro music of each of the previous episodes lol)
Then you get a glimpse of the first episode of the swordsmith arc - with some demons conversing, annoying kawai girls screaming over a bed ridden Tanjiro, some side boob and hot spring footage.
That is all.
The entire cinema legit felt trolled when the credits started rolling. You couldn't help but laugh. I think we all believed that this would be of Mugen train level but NO. It really isn't.
Save your money. Please.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba - To the Swordsmith Village is a movie that is definitely worth watching, even if you've already seen the first and second season of the series. While the majority of the movie is a recap, it's still an excellent opportunity to see some of the most breathtaking moments of the show, especially episode 10, which is a true masterpiece on the big screen.
The epic fight between Tengen and Upper Moon Six in is a perfect example of the unmatched animation quality of the series. Throughout all the animes I've seen, none come close to the level of detail and attention put into each frame. The animation team at Ufotable has truly outdone themselves, bringing this battle to life in a way that is both visually stunning and emotionally impactful.
While some may see the movie as a mere cash grab, I believe that the animation alone is worth experiencing on the big screen. The level of detail and attention to every single frame in that fight is simply unparalleled.
So let's put some respect on Demon Slayer! Yes, the movie is mostly a recap, but it's a chance to see some of the best moments of season 2 the way it was meant to be seen!
