I only watched this because Tyler Johnson is beautiful. Elizabeth Harnois is so obviously uncomfortable in her own body, it's uncomfortable to watch. No one in this movie is a master-class actor, and I'm usually overlook stiff, wooden acting, but there is zero chemistry between any of these people. Mother and daughter? They seem like they've never met a day in their lives. The "romantic" leads might as well be frozen for the lack of heat between them. And where are they? All mention of location is so vague. Even reference to off screen characters are just located on the, "East coast." All of that said, I'll probably forget I watched this and re-watch it in a couple of years.
This is on TV now and I am watching it. Zero chemistry between the two leads. Elisabeth Harnois is an okay actress but not really a Romance lead. In this movie she is better suited with the "boyfriend" who she is trying to keep under wraps from her daughter than with Tyler Johnson who plays the "Manny." The whole plot seems contrived from the start with the good-looking Manny (Johnson) fills in as the Nanny to escort Mom and daughter on their vacation sponsored by her workplace as a retreat when she made partner in the firm. Meanwhile Alice tries to hide her new boyfriend Max (also in the company) from everyone at the Firm and her daughter who she assumes is still traumatized over the divorce. Anyway the powers that be keep pushing Alice and Jacob the Manny together. It seems very unrealistic and predictable, and the most interesting part of this movie is the spectacular scenery of where it is filmed. Give it a miss.
