The Real Chainsaw Massacre

I found this documentary to be quite boring, took me a couple times to even finish it. The story follows "the real Texas chainsaw massacre" Robert Elmer Kleasen and his notoriety involving guns, missing Mormons, and a secret life in England. The story is quite subjective and doesn't seem to confer with many sources for hard evidence. While the narrative is an interesting topic, it's not handled properly. Poor filmography, vague narration, and a definite lack of depth on eyewitness accounts. The title is also a bit misleading, in that it seems Kleasen was arbitrarily titled the real Texas chainsaw massacre for the sake of the documentary.

Truth be told I was not familiar with the case of Robert Elmer Kleasen but this 45 minute documentary left no doubt in my mind what kind of human being he was.

The prime suspect in a double murder, serial liar, wife beater, gun obsessive and all round lunatic.

This short (45 minutes) documentary is more like an episode of one of those crime history reality shows is well made and unbias. Even until the end referring to him as a suspect and not simply a killer (Despite the clear overwhelming evidence)

The thing I took away from it was the incompetence of the American legal system and the UK government. From avoiding crimes through technicalities to getting into the UK and acquiring guns legally without background checks being done.

I still can't figure out why this guy got connected to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre though.

This didn't do anything to quell my hatred of gun ownership

People need teaching how to use google!
