Years ago, on Halloween night, a babysitter was slaughtered -after taking a lovely bath- by a mysterious maniac. She was a member of a local 'babysitter's club". Now, the surviving members are being hunted down and butchered by a psycho stalker with a pair of snow-white underwear on his head.
He sort of resembles the aftermath of the world's most successful wedgie!
The plot of BABYSITTER MASSACRE is basic enough to not interfere with the gushy violence. The characters are walking vacuums with no reason to exist other than to be mutilated. The blood quotient is high, the nudity is non-stop, and the acting is suitably atrocious!
If you pine for the 1980's when ultra-cheeeze like this was at its zesty zenith, then this should fill the void.
P. S.- Anyone who is unable to discern the killer's identity by the 15 minute mark flunks out of slasher school!...

Babysitter Massacre delivers 100% on what it promises! This movie has everything you could want from a horror film! The blood flowing? Check. Creative kills? Check. Lots of nudity? Check. There is more to it though! You also some fantastic acting from the cast and you can feel the touch of someone who really understands what horror lovers want (probably because he is one himself!)! Erin Ryan and Marylee Osborne show that you can have a horror movie that doesn't take itself too seriously without sacrificing the acting. Their performances really make you care what happens as the story moves along. If you want a list of others who give great performances, just go down the cast list! Aside from a few minor parts that were a little overplayed, the acting was solid. Henrique Coutro pays homage to some great 80's slashers while making something of his own. Overall, this movie was well worth the watch and the re-watch!
There are many of these "massacre" homage to 1980's slasher films and instantly we know just about what to expect. Considering this is a lower budget independent film, we know the picture quality isn't to be the greatest, the acting would be relatively amateurish, the gore would be either excessive and cheap looking and the tone which is meant to be menacing doesn't come off that way.
Of course as seen with these type of films, the director, writers make sure to include an abundance of "unnecessary" scenes of nudity (the typical brief shower scenes, the undressing scenes, casual rape torture scenes, and more). Essentially all the main women strip for at least a scene.
Overall it's simply a film with little creativity and originality. We have seen these premises done before and done better. Also the film isn't funny and very standard generic. No jump scares, no tension, so real surprises.
Then the twist of the villain reveal was extremely predictable which was meant to be a shocking reveal, simply wasn't. Not much was explained as to how the villain was able to go to each house with no one noticing and why they were killing off these random women. We didn't get to know for these characters so there wasn't any real sympathetic feeling once they got killed. Also very tame looking kills.

When I see a title like BABYSITTER MASSACRE, I'm expecting a few things. One is nudity, because if one is going to rip off every 80's slasher film ever, the audience expects it. I also don't expect great acting (again, not disappointed), finally I want gore. I want to see organs coming out and decapitations and such. This movie utterly fails at that. Fifth graders could have done better SFX. The killer was slightly unexpected, but by the time the movie ended, I'd long stopped giving a damn.
This movie is exactly what it says on the tin, so to speak. Babysitters do indeed get massacred in this welcome throwback to the glory (gory) days of the slasher films of the '80s to early nineties.
Angela (Erin Ryan) plans a Halloween party hoping to bring her friends closer together, who drifted apart after a childhood trauma. Unbeknownst to her, there's a masked killer running around murdering.... Babysitters. Who will survive? Who is this masked maniac? Far be it from me to spoil the fun. Just watch it if you love the horror of the 1980s.
Eye Candy: Pretty much all the main actresses show skin and then some

- QuizWhen asked about her attitude on performing nude in horror films, Erin P. Ryan said, "I really don't have a problem with it. The human body is the human body. I want the nudity that I do to make sense in a film. Now, if it's a B horror fun movie like Babysitter Massacre you're going to have the three B's blood, boobs, and beasts. It's just a staple. I have no problem doing that. I was proud. It was like, hey I'm in a B movie and I'm naked!"
