I Kissed A Boy

I am an American and watched this on Hulu. While not perfect, it is by far better than any gay dating show the US has produced.

The concept is fresh. A group of men are matched as potential couples with an immediate first kiss to determine chemistry.

They then get a few days to get to know each other before the "kiss off" where both men have the chance to decide if they want to continue to know their match or find another.

Additional men are brought into the mix to help facilitate new matches.

It's a bright and fun show, perfectly hosted by pop star Danni Minogue. The setting is in Italy in "The Maseria" which I learned is a Castle like estate. I do wish they showed more of beautiful Italy though.

The men are mostly flamboyant, with some being gender fluid, and even a trans man in Season 2. It's refreshing to see the diversity and these men are definitely entertaining.

The problem I have is the young age of the cast who are more "boys" than "men." I just don't see most of them, at their age, ready for a life partner. This makes the whole experiment feel like it will mostly be doomed to fail.

Keep in mind if you are not British, some of the dialogue will be hard to understand. I kept rewinding to make out what they were saying but then gave up as I'd be there for hours trying to get through an episode.

Overall, a fun watch. If another season is greenlit, the show will benefit from casting men in their late 20s/30s who are truly ready for love.

Just watched the first two episodes in season 2 of "I kissed a boy "and I think it's going to be even better than the first one.

Danni Minogue, again ,Oh my God, she's just absolutely gorgeous and such a match as the host of this show!

The first episode starts off a bit too "campy" for my tastes,but it is a house full of gays, so yes, camp is permitted!

The rules of the game have changed so I really like that the show don't use and copy the same format from the first.

A few very handsome boys and a few cuties will definitely entertain us throughout the show.

A few kissed up couples have great chemistry from the very start!

Okay, I did say it's a bit camp for my tastes, But the more I watch it , the more I like them and got familiarised with them ,and their stories .

It's great they introduced a transgender person this time!

I really hope that the whoever the winning pair will be at the end ,will have genuine chemistry and will actually stay together .

It's Camp , it's funny, it's beautiful and sexy and I'm very excited to see this back again!
