In fact, a lot of people couldn’t help but notice the timing of Meghan’s new Instagram story that she happened to post during the same time that everyone has been talking about Lauren Sanchez and her wedding dress.

Though K-dramas from the 1990s aren't as popular as those released in recent years, the decade is still quite significant in the history of South Korean TV. During the '90s, the Korean Wave, or Hallyu, began, which saw the rise in popularity of Korean culture in other parts of the world. Though K-dramas had been released decades before, the '90s is when these series began gaining traction around all of Asia, before eventually expanding to other parts of the world.
The popular K-dramas audiences are familiar with today came as a result of social media and streaming services releasing and creating Korean series on their platforms. International shows are a great way for audiences across the world to get a better understanding of life in a particular country, from notable social movements to what fashion trends are going around. The poster child of cinematic modernism, one of those early-‘60s event films that seemed to break every rule classical Hollywood ever codified, Alain Resnais’s Last Year at Marienbad left its initial audiences in equal measure ravished by Sacha Vierny’s sumptuous cinematography, capturing in rapturous detail every element of its chateau setting’s florid production design, and baffled by its deliberately disorienting puzzle-picture narrative, so willfully inscrutable that its three main characters don’t even have names. You have to trouble yourself to read Alain Robbe-Grillet’s screenplay in order to glean that they’re called A, X, and M, as if to emphasize that they’re variables in some erotic algorithm.
Unlike the testimonials to the politique des auteurs, all the rage with the Cahiers du Cinéma crowd, Last Year at Marienbad draws its power from a different engine, the disparate and ultimately divergent sensibilities of its director and screenwriter.

Everyone is getting emotional about Pixar‘s Inside Out 2 and its outstanding box office performance. Shining bright with $334M+ worldwide after one weekend in cinemas, fans of Pixar’s latest trip into Riley Andersen’s mind are already wondering when we’ll get another film in the series. While Pixar has not mentioned Inside Out 3, that’s not keeping Paul Walter Hauser, who voices Embarrassment in the movie, from sharing who he thinks should play a new emotion in a sequel. According to Hauser, Jon Hamm should join the cast of Inside Out 3 as the voice of Competition.
“I wanted Jon Hamm to voice Competition or a competitive nature.” Hauser said while speaking with CinemaBlend about Pixar’s latest smash hit. “That dude [Hamm] is a real player. He can be thrown into anything.”
Sitting next to Hauser during the interview is Lewis Black, who reprises his role as Anger in Inside Out 2.

Memes circulated of women, even the ones in happy relationships, aggressively rapping along to "Be Careful," "I Do," "Thru Your Phone," and "Ring" at their partners. So, where's the follow-up?
Cardi's fans have been patiently waiting. The short answer is Cardi's been booked and busy! To hold us over, she's released buzzy singles like "Please Me," "Press," "Wap," "Up," and most recently, "Jealousy" with husband Offset - all of which had accompanying music videos. The Bronx rapper has also been featured on hits like Migos' "Clout," Summer Walker's "Bitter," and Normani's "Wild Side." Additionally, Cardi executive produced the soundtrack to Halle Berry's Netflix movie "Bruised."

Cardi B is sharing a long-awaited update about her forthcoming album.
After teasing her first album in five years back in January, the rapper revealed in her Vogue Mexico cover story that she’s “going to publish [her] next solo single,” noting that she’s “not going to release any more collaborations.”
“Now I’m working on the cover and ideas for the next album because it’s definitely coming,” she told the magazine for its September issue. “Everyone always tells me that I should release the album now, they did it when I launched ‘Wap’ and ‘Up’, but I always let them know that I’m not going to wait long to release it after all these singles. So stay tuned because it’s going to come out very soon.”

When an audience member tossed a drink at her during a performance, Cardi B didn't hesitate before returning the favor. The star was performing at Drai's Beachclub in Las Vegas on July 29 when someone in the crowd splashed her with a drink, and Cardi responded by immediately hurling her mic right back at the attendee, who appeared to be quickly escorted away, per a viral video of the incident.
Now, though, it seems some good is coming out of the incident. Per CBS News, Scott Fisher - who owns the audio company The Wave, which provided sound equipment for Cardi's show at Drai's Beachclub - put the mic Cardi threw up for auction on eBay, and on on Aug. 8, the mic sold for $100,000. According to CBS, money from the sale will go to two charities: the Wounded Warrior Project and the nonprofit Friendship Circle Las Vegas.

Los Angeles, Aug 3 (Ians) Rapper Cardi B might have had her tampon string swinging during her stage performance as one of her fans speculated her to be going commando and claiming to have noticed the loose string.
In a video making its rounds on Twitter, the ‘Please Me’ rapper could be seen moving her hips in circular motion as she put one of her hands on her lady part.
Filmed from a low angle, her yellow mini dress was believed to have failed to hide that she was wearing no underwear and exposed the disposable menstrual product she used, reports aceshowbiz.com.
The handler of the Twitter account sharing the video explained in the accompanying tweet, “Footage of Cardi being a great role model as a mother letting tampon string hang in front of the crowd as she dances in Las Vegas with no panties on”.

Offset is finally addressing speculation that his wife Cardi B cheated on him. Back in June, the rapper made waves when he shared a since-deleted Instagram Story accusing his wife of being unfaithful, per Billboard, though Cardi quickly shut those rumors down on Twitter. Cardi B is reportedly under investigation for battery after a throwing a microphone at a concert-goer during a performance at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas, TMZ reports.
Cardi B, born Belcalis Almánzar, was acting in retaliation after a fan threw a drink towards her in the middle of performing “Bodak Yellow.” The audience member who was struck by the microphone then reported the incident to police the following day.
See some fan-captured footage of the incident below below.
Cardi B is just the latest artist to be assaulted by a fan in the middle of a concert. In recent months, Bebe Rexha needed stitches after getting hit in the face by a phone, Kelsea Ballerini paused a concert after getting struck in the eye by a bracelet, and P!Nk got an unwelcome surprise from a fan who threw their mother’s ashes onto the stage. Los Angeles, July 30 (Ians) Cardi B is no stranger to controversies, and the singer has found herself in another one this time as she threw a mic on stage at the audience when some of them threw drinks on her. This happened during a small stint in Drai’s Beach Club in Las Vegas.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the ‘Wap’ hitmaker was seen hurling the microphone onstage after getting splashed by a drink thrown by a fan, in a viral video shared to Pop Base Twitter on Saturday.
It wasn’t the first time either because this weekend the rapper, who just released her new track with her husband Offset titled ‘Jealousy’ decided to use her microphone for something other than singing. The night prior, Cardi was performing at Drai’s Beach Club when she became irritated after the DJ was allegedly cutting off her songs too early.

Cardi B and Offset just released their music video for their new track, “Jealousy”, with the clip referencing those cheating allegations.
This is the pair’s sixth collab as solo artists.
The vid comes after the married couple teased the collab on their separate Instagram accounts earlier this week, with them sharing a pic of the single’s cover art.
The artwork featured a comical photo of the “Wap” singer, 30, turning away from her husband, 31, while shoving her incredibly manicured, pink and lengthy nails against his face while he leaned against a vintage vehicle.

Offset has enlisted his frequent collaborator — both in and out of the studio — Cardi B for a new single called “Jealousy.” Listen to the song below.
According to its press release, the single comes ahead of Offset’s “forthcoming album,” though no additional details are available at this time. In a new interview with Variety, Offset explained that he’s hoping to launch a new era of his career. “This is me going full-fledged into my solo career,” he said. “I’m coming through, bustin’ through the door. It’s all set, my next chapter. It’s my time.”
Offset first teased “Jealousy” on social media earlier this week, tapping none other than Jamie Lee Curtis to help him spoof the late James Brown’s iconic 1988 CNN interview. Rapper Cardi B has set the record straight after social media chatter alleged her public feud with husband Offset was nothing more than a stunt to promote new music.
A month after the ‘Up’ rapper, 30, and the Migos member, 31, argued over cheating allegations online, the couple seemingly put that aside and announced the release of their new collaborative single ‘Jealousy’, reports ‘People’ magazine.
Earlier this week, Offset released a teaser, where he parodies James Brown’s bizarre CNN interview from 1988 and used the clip to address rumours about “drama” between him and his wife.
The video also featured an appearance by actress Jamie Lee Curtis, who interviewed Offset as she took on the role of CNN host Sonya Friedman. Shortly after the teaser, fans on social media began wondering if the rappers’ fight was staged.

"Empire Records" is a movie that not a ton of people saw, but many of us who came up in the late '90s/early aughts remember the 1995 film quite fondly. The movie was directed by Allan Moyle (who will always be my hero for giving us "Pump Up the Volume") from a screenplay by Carol Heikkinen. It centers on a day -- Rex Manning Day! -- in the life of a ragtag group of record store employees as they try to stop their shop, Empire Records, from becoming just another Music Town.
I worked at an independent music store in the early 2000s, one that was doomed to eventually be sold to a large chain. I have clear memories of all of us saying, "Damn the man. Save the Empire!" on more than one occasion. Sadly, there was no saving CD World and we were all soon out of...

Bastards (Claire Denis)
Modern-to-the-hilt noir submerged in the unforgiving blackness of digital photography, emotional currents sparked with a tactile cinema appealing directly to the senses. In retrospect, it (sometimes) seems these two edges could sufficiently define Claire Denis’s Bastards, but her films can never be boiled down to a few descriptors — which might be a tinge ironic, given the immense power of a narrative system that consists of absolutely no more than each crucial component, like a cinematic razor blade slicing its way through all that’s pure. The crescendo would prove unbearable if the pleasures weren’t so extreme, and Bastards’s final moments are...

Beginning on a shot of the Paris cityscape–yes, the Eiffel Tower plainly in view and everything that surrounds it–Louis Garrel’s A Faithful Man self-awarely announces itself in the tradition of decades of French cinema; say the kind that the average movie-goer assumes every single film from the country is like. With long conversations, wistful romances, and a deadly earnest piano score, one won’t be unable to see of influence of Garrel’s father on the picture. Yet if not as recognizably personal and hear-ached as those magnificent pictures, the son still shows heavy promise in his second feature.
Short, light-hearted, and easy to follow, A Faithful Man is almost by default the definition of a likable film. Again, an accomplishment for a drama that returns often to the image of a graveyard. And packing a surprising amount in 75 minutes–both a love triangle and a murder...

As she continues to mount her music career, Lele Pons has signed a global recording contract with the Universal Music Group imprint 10:22 pm. The deal is part of a larger partnership between 10:22 pm and Shots Studios, per Billboard -- the digital content studio and talent management firm to which Pons has long been signed.
10:22 pm was formed in February, Billboard reports, as a label dedicated to signing and developing social media influencers and digital media creators -- with a focus on multimedia content. The division is headed up by veteran recording executive Celine Joshua, who formerly oversaw strategy at Epic Records for artists including Future, DJ Khaled, Fifth Harmony, and Camila Cabello. Philippe Garrel's Lover for a Day (2017) is having its exclusive online premiere on Mubi in the United States. It is showing from March 31 - April 30, 2018.Roughly half an hour into Philippe Garrel’s Lover for a Day, there is a moment of unexpected hysteria: Ariane (Louise Chevillotte) returns home to find Jeanne (Esther Garrel) perched beside an empty window, threatening to jump. Jeanne is the daughter of Jeanne’s lover Gilles (Éric Caravaca), a philosophy professor several years her senior, and has come to stay with them in their cramped apartment following a messy argument with her boyfriend, Mateo. Jeanne asserts that she needs to kill herself to make Mateo realizes the depth of the pain he’s caused her. After a struggle, Ariane manages to pull her down, and the two make a pact to never tell Gilles what has happened. This moment marks a significant shift in...

Philippe Garrel – a stalwart filmmaker who admirably continues to keep the spirit of the French New Wave alive – with his latest, Lover for a Day, completes a trilogy also comprising his previous works Jealousy and In the Shadow of Women. Like the other two films, Lover for a Day is shot in luminous, shimmering monochrome, runs under 80 minutes, and deals with themes of fidelity, jealousy, passion, suicidal depression, and the general difficulty in maintaining, and navigating the shifting emotions of, romantic relationships. As such, this film, both in the context of Garrel’s previous work and of other similarly minded works in general, may strike a familiar tone, even over-familiar for some. And given that one of the central relationships depicted is that between a university professor in his 50s and his student who's in her 20s, this may actually seem off-putting, given the current heightened sensibilities regarding women's depictions onscreen and treatment offscreen.

The ten European producers coming to Hamburg are drawn from the pool of Efp’s former Producers on the Move, including the UK’s Isabelle Stead (Human Films), Luxembourg’s Donata Rotunno (Tarantula), Norway’s Silje Hopland Eik (Cinenord Kidstory) and Spain’s Antonio Saura (Zampa Audiovisual).
Stead will be coming to Hamburg after having taken part in the fifth edition of the Producers Lab Toronto, while Rotunno is now developing Yilmaz Arslan’s new project Raqs after producing his last film Fratricide and is also looking for German partners for his own third feature film Sara Sarà.

With its black-and-white cinematography and casting of his son as the lead, Philippe Garrel’s “Jealousy” (“La Jealousie”) feels remarkably personal and intimate. But that’s as it should be, given that Philippe Garrel based the script on his own father’s relationships. Louis Garrel stars as Louis, a man who leaves his wife (Rebecca Covenant) and young daughter Charlotte (Olga Milshtein) in the film’s first few minutes. He moves in with girlfriend Claudia (Anna Mouglalis) to a small apartment, where unhappiness soon begins to brew. He and Claudia are each tempted by others outside their relationship, while his ex-wife Clothilde grows more jealous of Claudia, not only for her relationship with her ex, but also with her own daughter. Charlotte is one of the film’s few empathetic characters, reminding us a little of the French, contemporary equivalent of the fantastic Quinn Cummings in “The Goodbye Girl” in her precociousness and self possession.

"The Expendables 3" finally crashed into theaters everywhere today. Will early online piracy hurt this tired reunion of old action fogies? Who cares, because there are better ways to spend your movie weekend. In select cities, two French auteurs deliver their finest, most introspective works in years: Catherine Breillat's "Abuse of Weakness" dwells in the dark power plays and disabilities of her own life, with Isabelle Huppert giving, as always, a shattering performance. And in Philippe Garrel's rueful "Jealousy," Parisian would-be bohemians (one is played by his son, Louis Garrel) are now parents in their thirties. This lovely black-and-white movie, at a lean, clean 77 minutes, finds beauty in banality. American festival indies also wend their way to art-houses, including the whimsical comedy "Frank" starring Michael Fassbender in a giant fake head, and zombie-rom-com "Life After Beth," with Dane DeHaan and Aubrey Plaza.
