Doctor Who's future may be uncertain right now, but it's certainly going out with a bang. Recently, the show has brought back several characters from the classic series: first Susan, then the Rani, and with today's episode Omega has joined them.

But "Wish World" also brought back a character from season 14 who fans really didn't expect to see again. It was only a brief cameo, but there was a lot of interesting things in there. The character in question was Rogue (Jonathan Groff), the man the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) fell in love with in the episode of the same name.

Star Trek: Picard season 3 is now halfway through its daring new story. And like previous installments, “Imposters” does not shy away from the preexisting Star Trek universe. Connections to existing canon run very deep in an hour that not only brings back a surprise The Next Generation alum but also deepens lore from Deep Space Nine.

From a very familiar face from the past to some classic sound effects and more, “Imposters” keeps the easter eggs coming at warp speed. Here are the best callbacks and deep cuts we found in the episode:

Classic “Bridge Sounds”

The episode begins with what sounds like the 1960s classic Enterprise bridge beeps and boops. One might think this is out of place for the 25th century starships of Picard, but showrunner Terry Matalas has clarified that the Starfleet of this era is in a retro period when it comes to design.

The tenth episode of "The Bad Batch" is called "Retrieval" and it's the second half of last week's episode. The Batch (Dee Bradley Baker) and Omega (Michelle Ang) are stranded on a distant mining planet, and their ship has been stolen by a mysterious thief. Now, they await rescue from a very grumpy Cid (Rhea Perlman). But Omega tracks the ship to a mining settlement barely 100km away and they make their move.

In this settlement, they find a Dickensian colony of kids, mining and stealing on behalf of a mobster named Mokko (Jonathan Lipow). A young thief named Benni (Yuri Lowenthal) is the one behind the theft of the Marauder and hopes to earn enough goodwill to eat and drink well.

Naturally, the Bad Batch wants their home back and they infiltrate the mining settlement. Along the way, tables turn back and forth with Benni, who is at times...

Spoilers for "The Bad Batch" Season 2 Episode 9 - "The Crossing" follow.

"The Crossing" is the latest episode of "The Bad Batch" and it sees Omega and the team of Clone super commandos — minus Echo — heading to a distant mining planet where Cid has taken control of a mine. There, it's their task to mine a precious substance called Ipsium and get back. Unfortunately, in the process, their ship is stolen by a masked thief and they're stranded on the planet. Things get worse when they are pursued by a desert lightning storm and take shelter in a mine where they are promptly trapped.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger with the Bad Batch and Omega still left on the deserted desert planet, hoping Cid will come rescue them before their rations run out.
