The movie was genuinely funny and creative. The director really took care of this project, everything from dialogue to references are refreshing in Saudi cinema as it's original and feels Saudi unlike previous movies we've seen in the past. Saudi movie to the core. I laughed so much and that's a first in local movies, only egyptians managed to do that before and that says a lot. The music, my god the music was so good and very representative of both our different local cultures and the mixture of ethnicities that we've lived with here in Saudi from egyptians to sudanis to pakistanis. Telvaz11 are pushing the boundaries of Saudi cinema, a must see!

One of the aspects that stood out to me in "Sattar" was the character development. Saad's journey from a struggling individual to a wrestler was depicted with great depth and authenticity. The film beautifully portrayed his struggles, both physical and emotional, and showcased the transformation he undergoes throughout the story. This character arc added a layer of relatability to the film, making it easy for the audience to connect with Saad on a personal level.
Moreover, the performances in "Sattar" were commendable. The lead actor portrayed Saad's emotions and struggles with conviction, bringing the character to life on the screen. The supporting cast also delivered strong performances, adding depth to the overall narrative. The chemistry between the actors was palpable, making the interactions between the characters feel genuine and believable.
The cinematography in "Sattar" was visually stunning. The wrestling sequences were choreographed and shot brilliantly, capturing the intensity and excitement of the sport. The use of camera angles and slow-motion shots added a dynamic element to these scenes, making them visually captivating.
In terms of the screenplay, "Sattar" had a well-paced narrative. The story unfolded at a steady pace, keeping me engaged and invested in Saad's journey. The dialogue was well-written and helped to develop the characters and their relationships. There were moments of humor, drama, and even some unexpected twists that added an element of surprise to the overall plot.
So, if you're looking for a film that will inspire you and leave you feeling motivated, "Sattar" is definitely worth adding to your watchlist. Get ready to embark on a journey with Saad as he fights against all odds to fulfill his childhood dream.

Very funny movie, the suspense, the relationships and the drama is strong and I was very impressed as the movie made me laugh, hold my seat tight and It seems there was flying ninjas cutting onions on some scenes as my eyes were dropping.
My problem with the movie is that I can't really take hogan seriously with his over acting and the fact that he is Ali G ripoff it's completely unoriginal and unnecessary, secondly is Khairallah using an older caricature which also felt they were out of imagination.
All in all, the movie is great fun and would highly recommend everyone from all ages to see and enjoy.

1-The story line was confusing and not convincing, the plot wasn't really interesting, i felt that some scenes were overlapping and unordered. I think that if it was more serious and had more drama scenes it could've been way better. 3/10
2-The comedy in general was good and fun, I was entertained by the main characters in this film, nevertheless, some actors were not funny and so cringy to watch.7/10
3-the music mixing was good in regards of choice, bad in regards of the volume, I couldn't hear what were they saying in some lines.5/10
-Overall rating is 5/10, an average film to watch, it's one of those movies that you should watch with your brain's shut.

Sattar follows the journey of Saad (played by Ibrahim Al-Hajjaj), a shy and overweight man with big dreams of becoming a professional wrestler. Stuck in a dead-end job and looked down upon by society-and especially by the family of the girl he loves-Saad sees wrestling not just as a career but as a way to reclaim his dignity and self-worth.
His path crosses with the eccentric and often unreliable wrestling manager Ali Hogail (played hilariously by Ibrahim Al-Hajjaj in a double role), who promises to train Saad and turn him into a star. What follows is a series of comic misadventures, training montages, and bizarre wrestling matches, all rooted in Saudi culture but inspired by classic wrestling tropes and global pop culture.

Good Movie."Sattar: The Return of the Legendary Slap" is a highenergy Saudi actioncomedy directed by Abdullah AlArak, blending underdog ambition with wrestling spectacle. Released at the Red Sea International Film Festival (2022), the film hit Saudi cinemas in December and broke boxoffice records, becoming the Kingdom's topgrossing film-surpassing even Avatar:
Sattar is an exhilarating, feelgood triumph-a crowdpleasing mix of heartfelt underdog storytelling, authentic cultural detail, and wrestling spectacle. Its record-shattering run in Saudi cinemas demonstrates the hunger for locally grounded stories. AlHajjaj shines as the earnest protagonist, and the comedic synergy between him and Alshehri fuels the film's charm.
Yet its reliance on genre staples, shallow female roles, and occasional visual-sloppiness hold it back from greatness. It doesn't fully escape formula, but for what it aims to be an enjoyable, culturally rooted upbeat comedy-it succeeds spectacularly.

The film was genuinely interesting and creative. The director took care of the project, from dialogue to linking Saudi films.
It blends action , emotions and comedy by leading with actor Ibrahim Alhajaj who usually send beautiful by his spontaneous charisma and funny way. One of the best youngest actor now in Saudi Cinema.
I have recommended to everyone to watch this kind of Saudi movie which shows the jumping way in their cinema and the full of charming details that director used.
Do not miss any chance to watch this movie and share it with your friend.
If you have any problems in your life & would like to forget watch it !

Sattar, a Saudi Arabian freestyle wrestling comedy directed by Abdullah Al-Arak, is a vibrant, feel-good film that blends humor, heart, and cultural pride. It follows a relatable everyman chasing an unlikely dream, delivering an entertaining mix of slapstick and drama. Ibrahim Al Hajjaj shines as the lead, bringing comedic flair and emotional depth to a role that feels both grounded and inspiring. The supporting cast adds energy, though some characters lean into familiar tropes. The wrestling scenes pop with dynamic cinematography, and the Arab rap soundtrack infuses local flavor, celebrating Saudi Arabia's diverse cultural influences. While the pacing is solid, some jokes feel forced, and the sound mixing occasionally stumbles. Sattar is a charming, motivational watch for fans of underdog tales and regional cinema.

It's amazing to see a film like Sattar coming out of Saudi Arabia. Funny, lighthearted, and full of charm. I laughed more than I expected!
What really surprised me about Sattar is how well it balances humor with genuine emotion. It's not just a silly comedy-it's a story about dreams, determination, and not giving up even when life gets tough. The main character was incredibly relatable, and the way he handled his ups and downs made the movie feel more grounded and sincere, even with all the comedic moments.
The writing is clever, and many of the jokes are very culturally specific, which made it feel authentic and refreshing. At the same time, the humor is universal enough that even someone unfamiliar with Saudi culture can enjoy it. The performances were great too, especially the lead actor-his comedic timing and expressions were spot on.
The production quality was also impressive. From the set design to the soundtrack, it's clear that a lot of love and effort went into making this movie. It's exciting to witness the growth of the Saudi film industry, and Sattar is a strong example of the talent and creativity emerging from the region.
Overall, it's a feel-good movie that leaves you smiling. I highly recommend watching it, whether you're into comedy or just want to enjoy something different and uplifting.

Best movie i watched in a while. Very happy to have a saudi movie that is this good. Looking forward to watching movies movies like this in the industry. Sattar has the best narrative that is mixed with humor that we all could relate to. I would give it an easy 10/10 rate and would recommend it to anyone.
Sattar is a fun, lighthearted movie that's easy to enjoy. Ibrahim Al Hajjaj is genuinely funny and brings so much charm to the role. The story blends comedy, wrestling, and a bit of heart without trying too hard. It feels fresh and local but still super relatable, with scenes that make you laugh out loud and others that catch you off guard emotionally. The pacing is smooth, and the characters are quirky and memorable. It's a film that doesn't take itself too seriously, which makes it even more enjoyable. If you're in the mood for something entertaining, uniquely Saudi, and rewatchable with friends or family, Sattar is worth it.
Such a great movie, I recommended my friend to watch it😍 I didn't expect to enjoy Sattar as much as I did. I thought it would just be another silly comedy, but it turned out to have real heart and honestly, I laughed more than I thought I would. If you're in the mood for something that'll make you laugh, feel seen, and maybe even tear up a little, Sattar is worth watching. It's not trying to be perfect and that's exactly why it works.

Just an average movie Not much to say about it really because it is very mediocre but a good effort from the actors With more investors the industry can flourish and bring more quality it will take time and efforts to reach there
By mid 2023 it reportedly earned around 107 million ranking at the top of the Saudi 2023 box office calendar illustrating a notable shift toward locally made films beating out Hollywood blockbuster
Strengths Ibrahim AlHajjajs performance His comic timing and physical commitment including a 15 kg weight loss make Saad a charming relatable underdog akin to Simon Peggs
Energetic fight choreography The underground wrestling scenes are physically intense creatively edited and visually dynamic a highlight for action fans
Cultural authenticity Producers emphasize real Saudi settings vernacular dialogue and localized music particularly the use of Sheilat tracks during key entrance moments
Fun supporting characters Ali Hogeen offersp comedic reprieve while coach Abdul Khaleq adds gravitas and mentor energy
Weaknesses Predictable structure The underdog sports formula is familiar New opponent introductions tend to drag pacing and female roles notably Saads fiance Falwa are underdeveloped stereotypes rather than fully formed characters
Visual and musical limitations While the Sheilat songs energize scenes the background score is sometimes generic The cinematography feels serviceable rather than stylistically elevated which may disappoint viewers expecting more polished visuals
Artistic critique Some film critics question whether Sattars commercial explosion equates to artistic innovation arguing it added little to the artistic evolution of Saudi cinema despite its entertainment value.
