"Humsafar" which means companion is about journey after marriage of 2 people.

The show not only describe the trials and suffering they face after marriage, but also successfully describe their contrasting personalities which later constitute more problems for the couple who have barely grown to love and hope for each other.

"Asher",who is a educated and modern, but he is also insecure. He has also perhaps unknowingly been represent as the angry young man, while "Khirad" is unusually caring, noble and independent, she is also too innocent and trusting for her own good. which makes this characters of the show fare different than Hindi shows which glorify the protagonists, Humsafar does none of that.

This Pakistani drama-romance is a new and different and makes everything seem more exciting in comparison to its Indian counterparts. Right from the sets to the understated emotions which are gradually heightened only when the script demands, Humsafar will make you spell bound .

Humsafar's biggest strength lies in the unspoken love between its lead pair.The chemistry between Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan is also one of the reasons why Humsafar is a must watch. Both of them excellence and wow you with their performance.

I am indian First I did not like dramas and this is my first drama that I have seen it Indian drama is nothing compared to Pakistani drama

After watched Zindagi Gulzar Hai....i started to search out best pakistani dramas because ZGH gave a big curiosity and temptation to watch best pakistan dramas.

Humsafar..... what a wonderful love story and family drama. I never expected that much high level a director narrated a stroy and made the drama. Humsafar my another favourite drama from pakistan tv series dramas. I love the entire all episodes, Fawad khan and Mahira khan a superb fantastic beautiful couple and lead roles, they did a great magic never attempted in pakistan tv series history i think so. A Story between three characters Khairat, Ashar, Sara......how a director created such wonderful characters on screen. This drama made me cry and happy at same moment after many years. I Love the characters Ashar and Khairat charaters but Die hard fan of Khairat character and Mahira Khan Acting...wow what a great actress, artist she performed in more extreme extraordinary level. Im just fidaa of her acting in this drama. Fawad khan role superb and both lead roles love chemistry i think we can see very few stories in the world. I have been addicted to watch humsafar drama and watched entire week to finish the this series day and night time. Don't know this story pulled me lot. Sara a negative role really a wonderful choice to director and turn the story any time in any moment. Khairat and Ashar Love Scenes i loved so so much. especially every drama needs best dialogues and story , screen play, best casting. This drama deserve everything and proved evergreen love drama in pakistan tv series. I watched so many tv series in india but pakistan dramas why they are famous i realized now. India never made like this story on screen in limited episodes, 23 episodes so so so less for drama lover like me. I disappointed too much with this less episodes concept because in india 500 and 1000 episodes made a successful tv series. Indian get ashame when see a pakistan made beautiful tv series not more than 30 epioses.

Undoubtedly 10/10 rating tv series but 100/10 is a worth rating. Thanks to Entire team which i felt so happy inside while watching drama, their effort performance talent gets so many followers and fans to this drama. Im madly love this Humsafar....title song i heard 10-15 times continuously so much relief and so much relax inside. Thanks to Singer and Music Director.

Every Urdu and Hindi speaker must watch Humsafar and Zindagi gulzar hai dramas at least twice in life. I strongly recommended to all indians and hindi speakers in all over world. Watch and Feel a Beautiful Story Humsafar.....

This is absolutely brilliant drama serial. I just loved it. The novel based story is simply awesome and the acting is also very good. The title song is also a super hit.

Starting with a very good story goes along very well, once you start its absolutely impossible to stop.

It will make you feel cry and smile with it.

Overall very good effort from the Writer, Director, Actors, screenplay and all others.

Best of Luck to all the people part of such a super hit.

This is my first time writing a review. Though there are few movies/tv shows which impressed me I didn't feel writing a review about them. But for Humsafar I wanted to do it. To start with "not to miss in lifetime " this is one of the best tv show one could watch. Doesn't need to know Hindi/Urdu to understand this drama. Actors especially the male protagonist speak through his eyes. And the lead couple glue us to the screen whether it's romance or their anger towards each other. Don't think any other show could bring back this magic with the audience. Btw not to forget woh Humsafar tha" wonderful ost mesmerizing

Got recommendation from my mother to watch this drama. This story is not just about love and losing love. Its about how fragile the relationship of marriage is. How can ego in a particular time can ruin this relationship. How misunderstandings make people suffer. I also loved it because it ends on potraying victory of truth and love.

Characters, dialogues, script and filming is very realistic and superbly done.

Recommended for all the young people and those going into a relaltionship and also for those who are already in a relationship.

This is a breath of fresh air in world overflowing with trash TV programs and movies. The story line is very strong and although it is slow at times, there is no fluff at all. Frankly I found strong character acting by Fawad Khan. The acting of Atiqa Odho as the scheming mother of Asher is brilliant. Overall, it has a strong story line, wonderful dialogues (I have a strong bias for Urdu which I find very beautiful) and actors who fill their roles wonderfully.

Highly recommended.

I am a huge fan of Novel-based TV Shows in Pakistan as most of them have are well directed and have been successful in the past. As for Humsafar, I would say I'm not a huge fan of the story as there is nothing quite new in it... (sorry I know this Drama has a huge fan base even in countries other than Pakistan). For me the whole charm of this drama lies in the 'performance' of the lead actors. Ashar, Khirad and Farida are beautifully portrayed... and not to forget Naveen Waqar's negative character as Sara. Though in the novel she did not have a strong role, but in Drama Sara's performance has a huge impact. The soulful title track "Woh Humsafar Tha" also contributes a lot much to this drama's success.

Overall I would say it was a good treat to watch this show... and the performances make it "A MUST WATCH"! 4/5!

AMAZING, CAN WATCH OVER AND OVER AGAIN! IT WILL NEVER GET OLD.

I think this serial was a huge hit because of the leading actors and theor chemistry. Every actor fits perfectly in their character. The on screen chemistry of asher and khirad is too good.The storyline is not unique but dialogue delivery and script writing is definitely worth applause. The soundtrack is beautiful and so is the direction. I have a bit of a problem with khieads character(typical desi good girl) but overall the serial is well made.

SPOILER ALERT: This is one of the Dumbest,Cringiest and Most Annoying Shows in World History and I Feel sorry for people who enjoy this Show. This show is aggressively mediocre and gave me visual diarrhea. I would recommend no one to see this show. The plotline seems as if it was written by a 3 year old and can only entertain people who have low brain cell counts.

This drama is nothing but a Saas bahu blaming drama. I really didn't like this show. There's no particular story. If you really have good taste of movies and web series please don't watch it. IT MAY CAUSE BRAIN DAMAGE AND HEART ATTACK.

Excellent performances from Mahira and Fawad supported by well etched out supporting characters making this show a must watch.

My first pakistani drama and probably favourite along with Zindagi Gulzar Hai and Bin Roye. All are a binge watch. Very good background music too. Fawad khan and Mahira are both very good. Interesting twist and satisfying ending!

I have no words for this great drama. Everything was just perfect, the couple (Fawad and Mahira Khan), the music, the story, etc. Although, the beginning of episodes were a bit slow, but after couple of episodes, you just can't stop watching it until you finish it...It will make you cry, and smile through out. It's been a while since I watched something so deep and nice on TV. It'll make you watch over and over again.. wish it didn't end so quickly.. Loved it! Fawad Khan and Mahira had the best chemistry I've seen on TV. Usually, there are barely any couples who have chemistry, but these two look so cute on the screen. Want to see them together again...

This TV serial having limited episodes is surely totally different from present Indian serials which keeps running from many years without having any story.

Casts role is very natural, which adds beauty to it.The story is about emotional husband-wife relationship played by "Fawad Afzal" Khan as Ashar Hussain and "Mahira Khan as Khirad Ashar Hussain

The show's theme song "Woh Humsafar Tha" was composed by Waqar Ali and sung by Qurat-UL-Ain Balouch is heart throbbing. It was written by Naseer Turabi in 1971 after the fall of Dhaka.

This is my first IMDB review and it is a pleasure that it is for one of the best drama serials to have aired on television. Most Indian soap operas have a tendency to go on and on, it was a refreshing change to find this Pakistani gem which wrapped up within 23 episodes.

The usage of the word wrap is co incidental to the fact that this show is a gift to television and now to digital platforms like Netflix.

The intense but natural acting, the engrossing story, the well written dialogues, the captivating background music and the smooth screenplay contribute to making this show a classic.

I never thought that I would care about a drama serial but I felt the pain that the lead pair was going through and wanted them to come together asap! We are used to engaging serials and films that are either suspense thrillers or horror based but to watch a drama that is heart pumping is another experience all together. I could not stop myself from watching one episode after the other since Netflix gives that liberty!

Anyone that watches Humsafar won't go empty handed after the last episode. There are a lot of lessons, some direct, some indirect which we can use in our lives.

Humsafar is an amazing, spellbinding family drama. I cannot say enough about it. You will smile, cry and your heart will ache for them as they go through the various tests set before them. The story may start out slowly, but the many villains and twists and turns will soon capture your interest and attention. The young couple is sensitively portrayed by Fawad and Mahira Khan. What a couple! The story line and music are lovely and compliment the drama. You will find yourself humming the theme as you watch the series. This is something that you will watch again and again. Ten stars!

Humsafar is simply the best.every character played their role perfectly, specially Fawad and Mahira. Ashar and Khirad is those type of couple whom u can't but love them.

Though the cast is beautiful and has done a talented job, it was a slow drama because of the short story to be spread across several episodes. The moments are not that remarkable and chemistry has little spark because of Mahira's character being a conservative girl. Ending is satisfying & justified.

This serial is nothing but crap. Very very poor plots actually the plots are totally crap.the contents become totally illogical non attractive and irritating. The serial maker should be admire that audience want a serial which had good contents and clarified plots. But this serial become fully painful.the audience will be must dissatisfied by this serial.the most irritating points of this serial are that ashar and khirad separated from each other and ashar didn't give divorce to khirad which is illogical and nonsense and not happened in real life.

Evil character will be shown so black and wicked ruthless . Watching these serials generate only negative emotions.

There are few dramas which are worth watching and this drama is one of them. Brilliant starcast, amazing acting, good storyline, very good OST. Masterpiece!
