Love the camaraderie between Kelly and Yolanda. These are the ladies I'd want solving a cold case for me!
Shows the viewer some very disturbing and sad crimes, whilst treating the victims with respect and celebrating their life. There is good case building and reconstructions which come to a logical conclusion in identifying/verifying the perp (when there is one! / one can be identified).
Kelly and her team work very well together and all genuinely care for the victims whilst striving to put the chosen cold cases to bed. A special shout out to Johnny Bonds who is a real character!
Long may this show continue!

Give me a car chase! Guns! Fast pace pursuits through dark woods! and most importantly.. BLOOD! O_O
What is really important, that the show isn't fast pace/doesn't get your blood pumping/not enough drama, or the fact that these guys are giving an effort to catch killers that are currently running free?
Seriously though, even if they spend an entire season to catch JUST ONE murderer that is running free, isn't that worth it?! Also, not to mention the emotional comfort that a, "hey, your loved ones hasn't been forgotten," gives to families affected by these horrible crimes.
True, not all of the cases are open-shut.. BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN COLD FOR YEARS! This is all currently happening! in real time! There is no "2 Years Later" transition effect! What this show does is put that spotlight right back where it should be.
I seriously doubt any of the people sitting behind a computer criticizing these efforts can say,"I put a killer behind bars, and finally brought a long awaited resolution to a family that had lost hope." Maybe some could say,"I saved a dog from eating chocolate!" or "I stopped a baby from swallowing a lego piece once!" Which, cool, really, both scenarios would have me totally pumped. I personally saved my turtle when I was 7.. he had climbed out of his tank and taken refuge under our mini fridge! Lost for DAYS.. He was so dehydrated an malnourished when I found him.. :( but I never gave up looking for him! :D Still though.. not as cool as catching someone that brutally murders people.. :/
I really hope this show gets the recognition it deserves.. some people should really reevaluate what they value as "good TV".

It is different in that you see the process of how they go about trying to solve cold cases. Most of the evidence is already known at the beginning of the show...because it is a cold case. I like when they go out to the crime scene and do their recreations. I guess I am intrigued by their thought processes. Of course, being from Harris County, where Kelly was a prosecutor, I know about her and Johnny Bonds. Kelly was a quick fire prosecutor and quite successful, so I like watching her in action. I do also like that they will at the beginning give an update on previous cases covered. If you're tired of the usual crime show, I think you will like this one. I hope TNT keeps the show.
Kelly really is amazing. I've watched this show 2x and remember how much I was obsessed when it was still coming in the air.
Sadly now I can only find the 2nd and 3rd Season which I bought on iTunes way back in the day. Now there's nowhere to find it. I've never seen 4th or 5th season. And season 1 unavailable as well. Huge shame!
