They Call Him OG

It's just another mass film that tries hard to hype every scene, but ultimately falls flat due to a weak foundation. While the movie boasts plenty of style and visual appeal, the script lacks the necessary focus on the lead's aura. Most scenes fail to convey that presence or impact.

The only sequence where the lead's aura is truly felt is the post-interval police station scene. Apart from that, the only other high moment is the one that links to the Sujeeth Cinematic Universe - something already revealed by the production house. Unfortunately, the post-credit scene feels entirely wasted.

Overall, it's a routine and predictable film, elevated only slightly by its stylish presentation and some Japanese-style fan service.

The movie was down right bad ....i mean it was so bad that i thought i was watching krk's deshdrohi. Yes you heard right...

i wish i didn't spend money on this piece of... crap... i never thought kalyan could do this much bad acting and action ofcourse.

Emraan hashmi must have slapped himself in the face for doing it.

Only the background score was good...just that.

Routine revenge concept without proper drama. There's no proper storyline or emotional connect. Just a stylish taking with proper DOP and cinematography.

Clumsiness in screenplay, too many charecter creating a mess, scope less linkage with waazhi city.

Pk intro, pre interval fight, post interval police station scene, that's it, just these 3 blocks worked well and remains all fails.

They Call Him OG had the potential to be a gripping story - the core plot is actually quite good and could have delivered a solid, engaging experience. Unfortunately, the execution goes overboard. The movie relies too heavily on flashy VFX and exaggerated, unnecessary violence that adds little value to the story. Instead of enhancing the film, these elements made it exhausting to watch.

While the concept and idea behind the film deserve credit, the cheap action sequences and excessive visual effects overshadow the narrative. With a bit more restraint and focus on storytelling instead of style, this could've been a much better movie.

Verdict: A decent story buried under too much noise.

The movie tries hard to look stylish-clearly inspired by the Prashanth Neel and Lokesh Kanagaraj school of filmmaking. The promos promised "substance," but the funny part is the film itself keeps shouting about how much substance it has-while showing very little. Apart from a few Japanese-samurai type touches and a couple of good scenes, the rest of the story is routine and painfully predictable. The pace is fast, yes, but then comes the flashback in the second half, which feels like a speed breaker. Screenplay? Let's just say it's running on low battery-weak and dull.

Pawan Kalyan looks stylish, throws a few punches, which fans might whistle for-but beyond that, he's flat. Priyanka does exactly what you'd expect (no surprises there), and Emraan Hashmi as the villain? Completely wasted. On the bright side, the cinematography and art work are top-class, and the background score works here and there. Direction though, nothing to rave about.

So yeah, unless you're a die-hard Pawan Kalyan fan starving for his screen presence, you might want to save your ticket money.
