"Masooda'' movie title itself rises a dim question to one whoever encounters it as movie title, but it's perfectly justified for its horror theme and spirit. Real horror, by its very nature is serious, haunting and when a genre movie is made on that approach, Masooda kind of experience happens. It's a complete experience movie and the experience is powerful.

Sangeetha is a physics teacher and husband burdened single mother, when her teenage daughter is effected by some mysterious behaviors, and when it's slowly turning into symptom of unknown illness, Gopi, an upright man, neighbor is the only help she is left with. When they attends a doctor, mother felt that's not going to be the right help, she left with only option to go for super natural cure. Whether we believe in super natural things or not is not the question here, it's not the knowledge, intelligence, questions that matter in the movie, it's the experience of a supernatural element in an ordinary life, movie gives the experience of fear, shock, terror, surprise with in the frame of a realistic and effective human drama. Supernatural events in in the story and its world and its effects are dramatically realistic is one of the best achievements of the movie.

This movie is seriously not for its story, it's for its pure and powerful horror genre experience and technical brilliance.

Thiruveer is surprising and brilliant, we can find his acting potential. Sangeetha as mother and Bandhavi Sridhar as daughter justified their roles to the fullest. Kavya Kalyan Ram is promising.

Writing at its best form, fine craft in direction and well executed movie. Special effects, make up are special mention, they are very lively.

Cinematography by Nagesh Bannell is excellent, it's perfectly terrifying marriage of story and visual, he is the talent to lookout for. Prasanth R Vihari Back ground music is horrifyingly effective, the two songs are very good and worked well in taking the story forward. Art work by Kranthi Priyam is impressive.

Masooda is a perfect blend of pure horror and drama with humanistic philosophy. Mise- en -scene aspect of the movie is very effective, production values of the movie that reflected in bringing out this horror drama is a special mention.

Beyond a well-crafted horror drama achievement, debut director Sai Kiran's attention to detail, ideas, and images made it remarkable horror drama. After Malliraava and Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, Masooda is one more remarkable and promising work from Swadharm film house. Producer Rahul Yadav Nakka again succeeded in his painstaking path of cinema and exploring a completely different genre from his previous works.

This movie is exactly the kind of horror films that India needs rn.

Masooda is the most refreshing horror movie I've seen in a while.

Not only is Masooda absolutely terrifying, it sneaks in a few hilarious scenes, without disturbing the horror atmosphere.

Prashant Vihari's music was incredible - spot on.

Beautiful & Atmospheric cinematography - very scary.

Performances of all were insane - special shoutout to the girl who played 'Nazia'. Hero too, was entertaining.

It is creepy, riveting & hilarious - all at the same time.

What a kick-ass movie. The writing is beautiful. The setup of the story felt very orginal, rooted and the vibe of it (old buildings, asylums, and especially the back story of the Masooda be) is a fresh dimension unexplored in Telugu. The tinge of horror is carried throughout like a heart beat. And it gets intense as time passes. There is always some new element in every small scene, which is very captivating and contributing to the story. And the choices of locations, production elements, characters offered a fresh breath of air. There is foreshadowing, setup &payoffs, parallel plots, backstory built, red herring. And for the amount of characters created and designed beautifully, giving each one a distinctive personality is not a easy task and this world building is truly a massive effort.

Throughout there are beautiful framings and compositions and it amazed the viewing experience. Whether it is horror or slice of life, it is lighted and captured extraordinarily and in complete awe of them. There are some extraordinary montages. What a tremendous amount of effort you have kept, hats off to the team for that.

Sound of the cinema is a big strength. It is not the jump scares, but the objects in the scenes that created horror throughout (balloon bursting, cat outside the window,.....) Music is like a big elephant in the room, which sets the tone and tension perfectly and it scared the hell out of me.

Only let down for me is the dialogues, they sound very bookish. Especially during the conversations, it sounded very bookish. Rest they gave very good performances and they are apt choice to make them feel vulnerable.

Overall a banger horror movie in Telugu after a long time. Intha bayapetti em saadisthaaru bro 😂

Film script is good. And also camera angles, effects and other things at proper level. Unfortunately main actor and his friend doing very cheap acting in this movie. Main actor hasn't good personality to handle this kind of movie. What a shame acting. Honestly don't use this guy for future movies. He just looks like a childish kid (idiot). I just wondered how the director of this film was founded / selected that kind of upset guy for his movie. Anyway my wish is this is the last movie of his acting career. But I think this guy is suitable for sell Ice creams. Honestly movie script is 8/10. But this actor's role is 1/10. My based score is 5/10.

This is going to be an underrated horror film of Telugu industry, i am a Kollywood guy, the screenplay was way much enough to make me understand the complete story

If you are a horror guy, then this is a right film for you, this movie is suitable for commercial lovers too from beginning to end you will love the way the movie is shot, even the songs are good.

1 is there a good story - yes 2 is the movie scary enough - yes 3 is the sound mixing good - yes 4 is the movie shot good - yes 5 is the story fantasy logical - yes 6 is there humour - yes 7 is there love and song - yes 8 is there unwanted characters - no 9 is the movie childish - no 10 should you watch it in theatre - yes, if not you can enjoy in OTT it will be good in home with decent acoustic setup or with better headphones

Ofcourse there are plot hole, but when it comes to horror fantasy you must accept the flaws

But First of all hats of the director and team, I am so glad how they built such a good horror story / film with so little budget.

Sadly the theater's are empty, people are going to praise the movie when it reaches OTT and going to miss the experience in theatre.

Note - this is not a movie to be watched with people around, better to watch alone to experience to the fullest potential of it.
