Movie Review:

This film is a textbook example of a cinematic disaster. The direction lacks any sense of purpose, making the plot feel aimless and painfully slow. The acting is either overdone or lifeless, with each scene lacking any emotional weight. Dialogue feels like a hasty first draft, riddled with clichés and predictability.. Editing only adds to the confusion, leaving scenes disjointed. Ultimately, this movie fails to entertain or engage, making it one of the worst viewing experiences imaginable. Avoid at all costs. No matter what.

A family drama with a popular lead cast is certainly enticing, but what transpires on screen is nothing short of torture.

The story follows a righteous man who calls a spade a spade and is sent to live with his sister and her in-laws to mend his outspoken nature. What ensues is a series of chaotic events caused by his behavior, creating major rifts within the family.

The script may have sounded promising on paper, but it fails miserably in execution. Logic goes out the window at every turn, leaving you completely disconnected from the story. The screenplay is patchy, with no proper flow, as scenes jump haphazardly from one to another. The characters feel like they've been lifted from a cheap drama, and the emotional quotient is absolutely nil.

Jayam Ravi, a seasoned actor, performs as if he has forgotten his craft; his childish antics are cringe-worthy, to say the least. Bhumika Chawla is the only saving grace, but even she is let down by the poorly written script. Priyanka Mohan is reduced to mere eye candy and struggles to make an impact in her role. Saranya Ponvannan tries too hard to bring comedic flair, but her efforts fall flat. Rao Ramesh's character is bizarre-he's on an inexplicable ego trip, and his sudden change of heart at the end feels as abrupt as it is unconvincing.

The comedy fails to evoke even a chuckle, and the songs only add to the runtime, making them easily skippable. The blame squarely falls on director M. Rajesh, who managed to direct seasoned actors into caricatures. If there's anything worth praising, it's the costumes, which are commendable.

This is a movie best forgotten-just move on.

Good Things about this movie: 1. Cute Heroine 2. Good Supporting Cast. They nail their roles 3. Not too long. About the right length.

4. Good photography in Ooty Locations.

Bad Things about this movie: 1. Some unnecessary songs.

2. Jokes don't land.

3. Comedy is okay. Not laughter inducing.

4. Emotional scenes also lack depth with one exception 5. Main lead has no screen presence. Poor acting.

6. Poor screenplay.

7. Efforts have not been put into writing good dialogues.

8. Balance between comedy and emotions is not done.

9. Romance has not been properly developed. The male lead has no chemistry with female lead.

10. Characters are developed through narration instead of scenes. Poor work. Probably to reduce budget.

Jayam Ravi and Harris Jayaraj combo works again. Good music and BGM. Rao Ramesh sir felt like Prakash Raj at times. He gives good villain character but also gives comic relief when joined with VTV Ganesh sir.

Like SMS or Nanbaen da where, the heroine also plays a pivotal role in the movie, in Brother Priyanka Mohan does not have that much of a important character to play. Her character could've been much stronger.

Brother family sentiment along with youth misfit in current society works well with Jayam Ravi. Good cinematography in Ooty.

Director Rajesh is back with another good family entertainer!

I walked into the theater with high expectations, eager to watch the latest release starring Jayam Ravi. Unfortunately, the movie failed to impress, leaving me underwhelmed and disappointed.

The Heroine's Role: A Misstep

One of the primary issues with the film was the heroine's role, which felt forced and unconvincing. The actress, despite her best efforts, couldn't bring depth or nuance to her character. Her presence felt more like a necessity than an organic part of the story. This misstep pulled me out of the cinematic experience, making it challenging to invest in the narrative.

Jayam Ravi: A Talent Wasted

Jayam Ravi, an actor I've admired for his previous performances, couldn't elevate this lackluster script. His character felt one-dimensional, and the dialogue lacked punch. It's disheartening to see a talented actor like Jayam Ravi being wasted in a subpar film. I expected more from him, especially after his impressive performances in previous movies.

A Star Rating that Doesn't Quite Add Up

If I had to give this movie a rating, I'd say it's a 1-star film trying to pass off as a 5-star experience. The filmmakers seem to have taken inspiration from the saying "Makamisshi paal dappa" (roughly translating to "even a worthless thing can be made to look valuable with clever marketing"). Unfortunately, the film's shortcomings can't be masked by clever promotion.

Waiting for Redemption: Bogan 2

As I left the theater, I couldn't help but think about Jayam Ravi's previous film, Bogan. Despite its flaws, Bogan showed promise and had some memorable moments. I'm still holding out hope that the rumored sequel, Bogan 2, will redeem Jayam Ravi's recent cinematic missteps.

Conclusion

All in all, this movie was a disappointing experience that failed to engage me. With a poorly written script, lackluster performances, and a heroine's role that felt forced, this film is one to skip. Here's hoping that Jayam Ravi's future projects will be more worthy of his talent.
