I came across Nik Box, the director, via networks I created. Attending horror conventions I was surprised that the man himself was promoting his label and flicks at a German horror convention. I already knew him from earlier work, Dracula vs the Ninja on the Moon (2009). A flick not for everybody.
Caffeineiac is something different. Filmed in black and white it do adds towards the blood flowing in this 7 minute short. We here a Caffeine Addict (John Maguire) talking about his addition. He talks about how easy it is to find the addiction at supermarkets and among the streets. But there are other things going on.
Towards the end the red stuff comes in and using no effects Nik chose to film it in black and white which gives the blood an extra feeling. It's an okay short, easy to find on the Caffeineiac DVD compilation clocking in at two hours.
