This short film is about three man who carries out their plan to rob a high end restaurant in their home town.
"X Squared" moves pretty slowly at first, opening with a scene that will come into significance later. The three men plans their robbery in detail, then they carry out the plan. Up to this point, they are so calm and composed, with little anxiety or fear. Their lack of emotional reaction dampens the suspense of the plot. Fortunately, after a scene on a snowy road, the pace and the action picks up, and it keeps me guessing what will happen in the end. The ending is quite clever, and the mysterious title becomes witty - you just have to interpret the title in a different way, and it is what the film is basically about. It is a clever title, giving the plot away so subtly like a quiz!
