Calgarians bring out Montreal's funny side
I caught this movie at the Calgary Underground Film Festival where it made its world première. It is a delightful tragicomedic romance. Although I was not swayed by the romance, I found the dialogue genuinely funny.
While the film is mostly in English, the funniest lines are spoken by Caroline Braun en français. That said, the translators had done a great job, and I did laugh myself silly reading the subtitles.
The acting was very believable, even though there were few scenes where the actors looked a bit too tired. The plot was somewhat predictable, albeit quirky.
All in all, it is a funny little film that is totally worth watching.
