In the realm of animated tales, there exists a gem of profound emotion and contemplation. "Frieren" unfolds a poignant narrative, blending the hues of ignorance, regret, and the yearning to understand humanity. Frieren, once unaware of the depths of human nature, finds himself grappling with the haunting echo of missed opportunities and unspoken words after the passing of cherished friends.
As the scenes unfold, the story paints a portrait of profound regret etched on Frieren's soul. Regret for not delving into the essence of those dear to them, regret for the conversations left unsaid, the laughter that never echoed loud enough, and the understanding that eluded their grasp. This poignant realization dawns upon Frieren, a bittersweet melody that tugs at the heartstrings.
In the wake of loss, Frieren sets forth on an odyssey, a journey to unravel the enigma of humanity. A pilgrimage driven by an insatiable desire to grasp the essence of human beings - to perceive their dreams, fears, hopes, and aspirations. Every step is a dance of sorrow and longing, a dance that is as captivating as it is heartbreaking.
The animation breathes life into this tale, the vivid colors and expressive strokes adding depth to the emotional tapestry. The elegiac soundtrack echoes the pain and joy of Frieren's quest, every note a whisper of the soul's lament.
Through Frieren's eyes, we witness the beauty of a newfound comprehension. Every interaction, every revelation, is a brushstroke painting a new layer of understanding on the canvas of his heart. The story, an exploration of the fragility of life and the potency of regrets, serves as a mirror to our own existence.
"Frieren" stands as a testament to the human condition, a somber reminder of the value of cherishing those around us, of the fleeting nature of time, and the importance of understanding and being understood. It unearths the eternal truth that sometimes, it takes loss to ignite a burning desire to truly know the beating hearts that surround us. And in this, lies the heartrending beauty of this unforgettable anime.

The fantasy genre was dying because of the repetitive themes and stereotypes that all of them used but.. Frieren was different. It's a story that teaches you to cherish your memories and have fun with the time you have. I love how they made the MC immortal so shes naturally used to caring about the time she has with others that made it possible for us to relate to her if we don't care about how time flies when we are with people dear to us. It's a very soft somehow calming anime in my opinion compared to everything ive watched up until now I would say this is something I can watch without stressing.

"When Eternity Learns to Feel" - this title perfectly describes what Frieren is all about. This anime is definitely my favorite, even though I'm rarely drawn to slow-paced stories. It beautifully shows that it's not the destination that matters, but the journey itself. Frieren, an immortal elf, slowly begins to understand human emotions - and that slow, delicate process is what makes the story so powerful. I highly recommend this show to everyone - it's truly worth giving a try. While there isn't a lot of action, when it does appear, it's impactful and well-animated. But the true magic lies in the quiet moments, the inner transformations, and the emotional depth. The character development is amazing, and the story explores many thoughtful and touching themes. I'm genuinely looking forward to season two !

I like the artstyle and the sound quality is astounding. The story is diffrent, because it begins after the kill of the demonlord, the most powerful enemy. I can recommend this anime to everyone, because it is funny, sad, nostalgic. The pace is a little slow at the start, but it catches up and it is adding to the story, because it is about a 1000 year old elf, for her time is diffrent. And still she was only 10 years with her companions at the journey, she had many memories. Very nice crafted Anime. I think everyone can see himself in one or the other character. Even the drawing style gives me nostalgica, it reminds me of the old handdrawn disney movies.

It's beautifully written and the depth of character as well as the development by far one of my favorites. Such a beautiful and stunning story. I wish they made more stories like this one. It's been a long time since I've watched an anime with such vigor and awe.
To anybody wondering if this story is worth third time this by far has some of the best writing that I've seen in a long time. The contrast between the different character developments is staggering. It brings new perspective to friendship and love the characters are well thought out and deliver an impactful series full of emotion and wonder.

On most anime's you'll see, at least the most popular ones, regardless if they are great or just fine (or even other movies and TV shows for that matter) there is always an ultimate goal for the protagonists; a villain to defeat; something precious to be found; saving a loved one... that's kind of how most narratives go - what if a story starts after the main purpose has already been achieved, what's next? This is what Frieren's beautiful journey explores...
An elf, in a world populated mostly by humans, with a huge life span continues her peaceful journey that is her life, after having been a part of a group of 4 people that managed to defeat the source of most evil in their world, a Demon King.
It's a really original and unconventional storyline, we start where most anime's would end, what's next if you have already achieved your ultimate goal in life?
Not only that, we see the world through the eyes of a character that outlives almost everyone she meets, her concept of time is radically different from any average human she crosses paths with, for her there's no rush, she has all the time in the world... This is where we start to see some beautiful and philosophical lessons being laid out - are we not all guilty of assuming we and everyone around will live forever? We struggle to find meaning in ordinary things and we let our lives pass us by assuming there will always be a next time, unfortunately it doesn't work like that every time.
The original narrative gets even more epic with the astonishingly daunting soundtrack, amazing colors and animation and some light hearted comic moments.
The last part of this first season gets a bit more tedious, I feel some of the storylines get a bit stretched but other than that it's a really great story with some really good life lessons, some comedic and also emotional moments along their journey, I am glad they are coming up with another season as there are still some great moments ahead for sure!

I judge anime and stories in general, not by their ability to wow me with effects or action, but for how much they make me feel and learn about myself. And in this, Frieren shines like no other anime I've ever watched, managing to make me smile, feel wonder, nostalgia and excitement all at the same time. Its a beautiful coming of age story, which sounds weird for a thousand year elf, but that's what it is. In it, we will find life lessons which we can certainly apply to our own lives, if we look close enough.
I've watched till Episode 10, and it just keeps getting better and better, weaving backstory and exposition to make current events feel preordained yet surprising at the same time. I look forward to watching this masterpiece in its entirety, but even incomplete so far, Frieren has already taken its place in my book along with the greatest of all time.

I can't wait for season 2...No! I can wait. Fondly!
That's the point of the series: a relaxing story of patience and wonder. It has action and excitement, but I would say that it's best feature is the "Journey aspect". Following along a party of heroes. Learning about them and ultimately feeling that you are part of the adventure.
I don't know why but as the series develops, I like Frieren more and more. She started as a borderline sad character in my eyes, but now I and also Frieren herself have accepted the melancholy. Rather melancholy has turned into gratitude.
That's the feeling I have after finishing this season... gratitude.
Why do we say quick goodbyes?
Why aren't our goodbyes tearful?
It would be embarrassing when we meet again.

No words to describe but this nostalgic feeling that will make you reminisce & reflect about the past, present, and future. The show is a great reminder of how limited time really is, and how much an impact one person in your life can make. It is a great reminder that death is an important aspect of life, and how we struggle to make a mark in history in order to be remembered by the next generation. The latest ep tells the inevitability of being forgotten, and its a wakeup call that we shouldn't live to be remembered by the future, but to be remembered by those that are around us now. WATCH IT PLSSS.

Sousou no frieren it's amazing
I haven't seen a good anime in a long time, but if it's an impressive animation with a world-building like that, it sounds intriguing. The anime strongly reminds me of the excellent 'Mushoku Tensei,' and in my opinion, it might even be on par with it. I also read the manga, and it's excellent too. However, what makes the series so good, in my opinion, is the main character, Frieren. She's a very different main character compared to the others. In my view, this anime is undoubtedly outstanding, and the manga is also fascinating and excellent, much like the series

I was completely unfamiliar with this work but was intrigued by the overwhelmingly positive ratings it received everywhere. Frieren generates a lot of buzz within the manga community. So, out of curiosity, I decided to give it a watch. However, I never managed to engage with it. Even with effort..
It's not a bad piece of work, but it's just not for me. I found myself bored and unable to connect with it.
I wonder if people are genuine with their ratings or if they're just following the trend.
Positive points: the art and animation are excellent, and the work explores some interesting philosophical themes.
Negative points: The characters are average, their character design is average, the plot is average, lacking action, the characters aren't very intelligent, the pace is slow, there are few stakes, in fact, there's just nothing exceptional about it. There are dozens of works much better than this.

This anime raises the bar for every anime in existence! This is so amazing beyond words! <3 My favourite anime so far! Frieren level anime hehe :D. Why? Because it gives real life lessons inside every episode and imo.. made me a better human with every tear I dropped during watching it! I love this anime!
Imagine an anime which makes you value your time spent and gives you hope for life... this is what Frieren done for me and much more. With every episode my inner child was healing and my hope was re-ignited again and again.
The softness of heart inside the anime is beautifull and I really want to thank the creators of this anime for this wonderfull piece of healing art!

I am not a big time anime fan by any measure, but after stumbling upon this show I must say that I was blown away by it. It is a beautifully made animation with incredible visuals, passionate voice acting (I watched the English version) and amazing music.
The best part about this show is the softness of the story and how it can make so many simple moments feel very special. The main characters are very well written, they all feel unique with good traits and flaws all equally on display, which allows them to quickly become characters that you feel invested in.
I can't wait to watch more of this show, and I will probably buy my first ever manga because of it :)

With all the War and hate in the world, it's nice to know people make beauty still. Peace, Action, and Original Story telling from past stories brought to the present for our generation to learn and cherish. The characters are more real than half the actors and actresses in films nowadays. If I could ask anyone to watch just one anime, Neon Genesis Evangelion usually is the first one I'd respond with but now, if the person is just looking for a Fun New experience. This anime is my choice. Frieren can a huge positive impact on the entertainment industry. One not seen before or since. Its biggest quality is that it is perfect in every way. I believe people can better themselves and there poorer qualities, simply by watching this anime.

At first, the main character seems too boring and silent (reminiscent of the heroes from the Best anime of the golden era of anime). But with each episode, you begin to understand the reasons for this behavior and it gets closer and closer. I am glad that, although rarely, they continue to release anime, where there is little childish screeching and screaming, with antics! Which I'm already very tired of! It's also nice that the characters are still different from the TYPICAL types, which immediately makes it clear their behavior and actions. I don't understand why in modern anime, heroes are made so similar (red hair means the hero yells, always gets into fights and is not very smart, etc.), are the audience so stupid? Isn't it more interesting when the characters reveal themselves.

Something new. Since most anime or manga focus on the heroes and their adventure. This one focus on a POV of one of the member. The story itself quite unique and reminds us how to be human again.
Maybe it's quite equivalent on how we spend our college times with those special persons. When we graduate we drift aparts but what connects all of us are those memories and fun things, and crazy stuff that we did. Sometimes as life goes by we forget those people and actually being left alone.
The stories itself and each episodes presented beautifully. It's fun to watch but also it felt a bit painful to watch as each episodes also reminds us on lots of small but important things that we might have forget.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is a true masterpiece that goes beyond typical fantasy storytelling. The series beautifully explores themes of memory, loss, and the passage of time, making it as introspective as it is visually captivating. With its unique focus on the life of an elf after her heroic journey has ended, Frieren delivers profound character development and thought-provoking storytelling that resonates deeply. The animation quality, attention to detail, and atmospheric soundtrack all contribute to an immersive experience that feels both nostalgic and timeless. It's a must-watch for anyone who appreciates anime that combines emotion, artistry, and meaning.
Sousou no Frieren is a beautifully reflective anime that explores the passage of time and the meaning of life through the eyes of Frieren, an elf mage who outlives her human companions. The story takes place after the heroes' journey is already over, focusing on Frieren's emotional journey as she grapples with the fleeting nature of human life and her own sense of loneliness. What makes this anime stand out is its slow, thoughtful pacing and deep themes about memory, regret, and the value of relationships.
Frieren's popularity comes from how it offers a unique twist on the typical fantasy genre. Instead of focusing on battles and adventure, it's more about introspection, healing, and appreciating the small moments that make life meaningful. Fans love the emotional depth and how it beautifully handles the theme of immortality, making it both touching and thought-provoking.

I enjoyed the first 17 episodes, because the general story avoids typical fantasy anime clichés (such as going into dungeons and fighting monsters) and is more about what happens during a journey, with just a few new characters met in each episode.
Though, episodes 18 to 28 are dedicated to a story arc that is very different and typical of many anime series : the party is not travelling any more but stays at a academy of magic and, along with other students, undergoes several examinations and challenges in order to get a diploma. Many new characters are introduced (the students), and the focus is put on the strategy that each group of students will use to defeat the other groups.
In my opinion, the themes of this arc are very far removed from those of the travel episodes and are therefore much less surprising and enjoyable.

I don't get it why animes still doesn't have great high fantasy that is actually serious and things getting very interesting, some may think berserk yup maybe but its not fully covered it to anime, back to frieren this anime doesn't deserve this high score, why? Cuz its generic anime fantasy once again that we already seen it before it doesn't fill anything it doesn't show any uniqueness to be special infact there's already a better anime that tells curse of immortality better (to your eternity). Im still trying after watching whole show to point out why this anime got a very high ratings? I don't see anything beside beautiful animations sadly nowadays anime fans only eat up animations and forget about actual quality.
