Mop King

This Mop King trailer is really funny. I recommend it to anyone who wants a good laugh. I can't wait to see the whole movie. Good luck in getting it out there. I've seen many other Mop King versions, but this one, starring all young and talented Canadian actors is by far the best. The actors are young, believable in their roles, dress the part, know their lines well, and come across as sincere and responsible. I believe it was filmed in Vancouver, I recognize some parts of town. It's great to watch a film when there are scenes that you recognize as your home town. Good use of showcasing Vancouver - Canada's most scenic beautiful city. People who don't know Vancouver very well will fall in love with the city. Hopefully they will come and visit - good for the economy.

I wish this movie had been more heavily marketed. The humor is hilariously sarcastic. I Would have watched this movie right when it came out but I had no idea that it existed. The actors/actresses did phenomenal work, I haven't seen a comedy like this in a while. Very unique idea to have a maid service/ massage biz. The leads should certainly take on more roles on larger screens! I will certainly be keeping an eye out for films with similar casts, producers and directors! Involving some pot smoking would have been a nice touch. That is the demo. that films like this will attract. Other than that and a slightly jumpy storyline, I enjoyed this picture thoroughly!

A score of 8 means I would watch it again with my friends. Sexy young guy with a mop meets sexy older girl with a past. They fall in love and live more or less happily ever after. Good sidekick comedy, especially the fight scene. Lots of misfits including the runaway parents.

The humor is slightly below low brow. Tasteless but not too disgusting. It would be a movie to have on a double bill with The Janitor. One of the finer films with a prostitute on crutches.

I think the actors and director and production company should do well with this. It should get good reviews. I watched it at Amazon Prime. It is probably at other streaming sites.

Loved this pic! This was consistently funny throughout and funnier than Napoleon Dynamite on a fraction of the budget. A lot of comedy these days seems to be based on long awkward silences as if they are waiting for you to laugh. This movie is not like that. The quirky weirdness makes you laugh right away. Fresh, original, unpretentious. Completely unheard of, I selected this at random and was pleasantly surprised.

Well there isn't a huge amount to say about this movie really. Nobody you ever heard of starred in it and it won't ever win any awards. That said I did enjoy it and laughed quite a bit. The comedy is on the gross-out/stupid side. Think Trailer Park Boys and you won't be too far off. Definitely lowbrow humour. It really isn't shocking or overly adult themed. There's some underwear but no nudity or sex scenes and there isn't a huge amount of foul language. Not really suitable for children.

The other reviews for this movie are kind of weird and probably written by shills who know the cast or crew or actually worked on it . There is no way on earth this deserves a 10/10 and I'm honestly being pretty generous giving it a 7. That doesn't mean I didn't like it because I did. But I liked it in spite of it's shortcomings, not because of them.

The writing and direction are a bit rough. Cinematography, editing and sound are pretty good. You can tell the budget was lower than a snail's belly but at least they lived within that budget and did okay. Acting was pretty decent if also kind of amateurish.

Basically recommended with a warning. If you have a problem with stupid/gross you're really gonna hate this. It isn't PC and it isn't "woke" so if those things are important to you should go watch whatever that movie was that won that award that time. Or maybe that movie where the short senior citizen pretends to be a fighter pilot.
