Like the Concept

I like the concept and the fact that one chef has the chance for $25,000. But like another reviewer said, Bobby shouldn't be helping out his "titans" at all. It's not fair. And the fact that they have one chef judging the competitors means that you're at the mercy of this one judge's tastes. Two or even three judges would make it fair because you're not worried about one judge who may be picky or not impartial.

I also find Bobby's ingredients to be a little boring compared to his Beat Bobby Flay ingredients that he picks. These chefs are professionals. It would make sense to challenge them a bit more. Maybe the new season will be different.

Often ruined by egomaniac loser judges.

This could have been the best cooking show ever. The "home team" of Brooke Williamson, Michael Voltaggio and Tiffany Derry are as talented a collection of brilliant and innovative young chefs as you 'll ever see. My problem with the show is that it is often spoiled by egomaniac judges suffering from "I've gotta be the smartest person in the room" syndrome (Hi Frank!) There needs to a baseline of talent and taste in the selection of judges. Not just any bozo who happens to drink with Bobby Flay. If they took pains to seek out informed, Knowledgeable judges who actually judged the food in front of them rather than indulging in their pre-conceived notions and prejudices, this could be the best cooking competition show ever aired. As it stands, it's not.

Enjoyable, but...

The concept is good, but the chefs going against the titans sometimes make better dishes, yet get less points. The random judges have their own preferences, of course. It'd be more interesting, if they changed the titans each season. Who reckoned these chefs to be the titans? Mei Lin beat the titans and won the belt in Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions, so she's more of a titan than any of the titans. Food Network recycles these chefs, getting tired of the same faces. It'd be great to see new chefs enter the scene, which TOC is now trying to do. But, of course, not all chefs want to become TV personalities nor have the time.

Just About Unwatchable

Bobby Flay hosts this one with his three "titans" as they face off against a guest chef. The three dishes are judged by a guest judge.

Problem one is that the titans are unlikable and they cheat. Sour losers Brooke Williamson mopes when she loses and middle-aged Michael Voltaggio, who dresses like Bart Simpson, sulks and pouts. Tiffany Derry does better but not by much. They all whine about the judges' comments and scores.

Meanwhile the "titans" constantly cheat by telling out tips and time warnings to the one who is cooking. "Don't forget your fish in the fryer." Get that meat on the grill." "You haven't used the red onion yet."

Meanwhile Flay wanders around kibitzing and making goo-goo eyes at Williamson. There's also some flat-faced woman who serves drinks to the "audience" of 20-somethings.

Just another Bobby Flay vanity production.

Great watch!

Fun show! Loved the specialty drinks and bartending element. The drinks by Ginn was so creative and looked great. Always tuned in for inspiration.as a home bartender myself.

The speakeasy vibe and cooking make it an entertaining watch. Cool to see professional and diverse chefs, some of whose restaurants I've dined at.

Throughout each episode, Chef Bobby is tasked with choosing a main ingredient for competitors to use. Visiting chefs then choose which titan to compete against as a blind guest judge tastes and scores each dish.

Can't wait for more episodes. This season was just a warmup. Looking forward to more.

Judging is in consistent and sometimes unfair

The episode with Iron Chef Jose was a perfect example of inconsistent judging. The judges are sometimes very critical and say a dish is well balanced then they say it needs more seasoning... how does that make common sense?

The Dish Brooke made was in no way the caliber of dish and work that Jose put into his dish. The judge was not sophisticated enough to understand his dish. She should never be a judge again!

Honestly it was embarrassing to see that the judge would be so unintelligent! She was not a good or fair judge. Her expert just went down the tubes in my book. I love Brooke, I love all the Titians, but the game has to be fairly judged.

This is not the only episode that was to disappoint.

Must watch!

Great show! As soon as I started watching I was hooked. Bobby Flay is a culinary master who has been competing at the highest level for years. The show is about different competitors who enter Bobby's secret kitchen to compete against different professional chefs!!! (Tiffany Derry, Michael Voltaggio and Brooke Williamson). The competitors are diverse which is what kept me on watching. The take home price is of $25,000. Each episode features a new competitor using real life cooking skills. The addition of the bartender Ginn was one of my favorite parts of the show. She is a great mixologist! Can't wait for the upcoming episodes :) !

Enjoying the chefs & bartender element!

I'm enjoying the diversity & energy of the contestants this season, and Bobby is a class act as always. I'm learning a lot about mixing various ingredients and flavors on the fly, and am even inspired to cook more at home! It was very cool to see Esther Choi as a contestant - she's a chef I admire a lot and often frequent her restaurants. The addition of bartender Ginn adds a unique element of mixology especially for cocktail lovers like myself! This season really kicked it up a notch - I highly recommend to home cooks/bartenders who want to be inspired and entertained. Looking forward to tuning in next week!

Rigged Show

There is no way in heck Brook's little taco thingy beat Jose Garces' pork meal last night. I will never watch that rigged show again. Her dish lacked finesse - it was plain, boring and simple. No effort. Jose played the game well! He knew she was way out of her wheelhouse. And who the heck was that judge? One of Bobby's girl friends?? She seemed almost fair with Votaggio's meal and somewhat fair with Tiffany's dish but when it came to Brook - it was so unfair!!! Even Brook knew she lost - lister to her comments. Wow!!!

Good riddance to that flaky show! Try harder Bobby!!! You are better than that.

Love the Titans

If the challenger loses where does the $25,000 go? Do the Titans divide the money? They must get paid to do all of that cooking on the show. Altho I love watching the Titans cook, I miss watching Bobby Flay cook. How does Brooke stay so thin with all of her excellent cooking? Michael and his bro just opened a retro restaurant in Vegas. I am surprised it's retro since Michael seems so into the new high tech world of cooking. I rarely see him cook a dessert. I hope to see the show on next season. And I am wondering if they will have the same Titans? We need more shows on evening Food Net where chefs just cook, not always have to compete.

Very disappointed

I love the concept but am extremely disappointed in the execution. Bobby distracts the competing chef, while giving his titans hints and help, and the judging is poor, especially tonight. The score between Hosea and Tiffany was just stupid and incompetent.

What happened to showcasing the ingredients? Tiffany totally messed up and was rewarded by this judge! Hosea practically pulled off a miracle and lost. I've watched the show several times now because I've loved Bobby's other shows. Sadly I'm not a fan of this one and very disappointed that it isn't fair. Why the need to cheat and stack the deck?

Surprising enjoyable

The password gimmick is odd, but ultimately I like that there's an attempt to add a feeling of "this is a secret competition" to the show. I've never liked cooking shows before, but the "points" element kept me wondering if they could pull it off.

I see other reviews disliking how Bobby intervenes in the show, helping the titans, but it always came across as "the devil giving minor hints to his demons" but not literally doing the "dirty work" of cooking. I like to cheer for the underdog and so it's nice when the challenger overcomes a slightly unfair fight.

Happy new viewer, enjoying the show.

Done after Chef Jose's episode, rigged

I started off enjoying this show when lesser known chefs came to battle. It was believable and judging seemed fair. This season with the add of iron chefs has just become a joke. Chef Simon's episode was beyond insulting when it came to the judging and tonight's episode with Chef Jose was clearly fixed. With all the cooking shows I will be changing channels and finding something else. Really unfortunate as I love watching Michael and Tiffany cook.

Totally stupid show!!

The format of this show is infuriating and unfair. One chef competes against 3. The 3 chefs are arrogant and never have anything remotely nice to say to the incoming chef. Somehow no matter how good the incoming chef's dish is, the titans (hate that name) always end up winning. Food network and Bobby Flay, you really can do better than this. Totally stupid show!! Michael Voltagio couldn't put together a decent dish even if he was given the recipe. Brooke and Tiffany are halfway decent. The better way to do this is have a team of chefs going up against the team of three. At least then it would be fair! Do better Bobby! Your arrogance is showing!

Password: Boring

Lame concept and the same chefs we've seen over and over again.

Brooke Williamson again? Really? Along with Tiffani Faison and Antonia Lofaso, they' one every Food Network show. Ditto Voltaggio. Ditto Flay.

Once the judge knows who the cooks are, it's obvious who cooked what.

Cutesy poo "secret club" pretends it's a 1920s speakeasy complete with peephole and password. The "audience" sits around with drinkies (Steve the Bartender) and note that everyone in the audience is in their 20s and 30s. Same for OUTCHE'D.... All the judges "off the street" are in their 20s and 30s.

I guess Food Network is trying to lure younger viewers by pretending it's hip.

Bobby's Quad Threat

Bobby is making remarks to his team helping them. He is reminding them when they forgot something. You forgot to put your turkey in the pot. Thanks Bobby. He is telling them to hurry and giving all kinds of hints. He tells them when time is getting short or they are running out of time. He asks the the competing chef, what are you making and making comments out loud about their ingredients. It is not nice, it is not fair. I love watching Bobby Flay never miss him on his other shows he is a great competitor and fun to watch. But this is a kind of cheating which is not fun to watch, sad. Stop talking Bobby.

The show muat be fixed in advance

I enjoyed watching this, but suddenly it all made sense: the judge definately knows the titans plate in advance and so, he or she gives the titan extra points....so many times i watched the titans make mediocre dishes and yet, out of the blue, the judge never had tasted such a great dish which was made by the titans!! The show is definately fixed. Will not watch again, since itis not worthy of such good chefs who come to the show expecting fair game and fair critic, and it all ends up how great the titans cook....what a lie...25.000 is a lot of money....why should Bobby give it sooo easily???. Too bad, the fixed of the show is so damn visible.

Ego driven, rigged boring

This is not a competition .. It is a preening show to put money in Bobby and his "titans" pockets.

The challenger deserves a coach in the back to make up for all the support the titans and bobby give to each other. The single judge with obvious bias, the assistance by the sitting titans reminding their friend to salt, season or fry the protein is appalling. Do these guys watch their own show or just book the appearance money? How is this not an SNL episode on chefs loving themselves more than actually cooking? It is laughable

It is transparent in its goals and boring to watch. Unpalatable Never again.

Bobby Flay Triple Threat Review

Bobby Flay Triple Threat Review 2-2024. I know the guy is struggling to even compare to Guy but what the flip is this new idea. No one in the real world eats stuff like that. A small club of B and C list people eating $500 meals?? Guy was able to build up others to become millionaires and this is only for a few. Also your judge that rated a 9 with RAW pork and he gave the other chef a 5 for full cooked Pork is a pure slap to USDA rules. No restaurant in the USA will serve raw pork so why not Bobby or anyone say this is disqualification. My kids can watch other food shows but this is not practical or educational to anyone except dreamers. Best of luck Bobby and cast.

BOGUS

Unfortunately, this competition show was just like the others. The judges don't judge according to the criteria given to them. They judge according to what tastes the best to them.....so why bother having rules to cook by? The chefs may as well just go in and cook whatever they want. I quit watching Beat Bobby Flay because they keep letting him win whether he cooks the required dish or not....more often not. The same happens just about always with Triple Threat. I'm done with them. The blind judging is a must. That much they have correct. Now they need to make sure the judges understand that they cannot allow a contestant to win that does not follow the cooking criteria. Tiffancy used her dried blue corn to coat her fish. The other chef made a complex sauce. Tiffany scored TWO POINTS higher....for CORNMEAN CRUSTED FISH! Good grief, we eat that every weekend in Georgia! Totally bogus. Disgusting.
