Great acting and direction. The film explores the quandaries of 30+ year old womanhood, but in a way that applies to all genders, race, and religions. It packs a punch in less than twenty minutes, and manages to expertly balance a surrealist set and script with a strong sense of humanity, and the vulnerability and confusion we all grapple with when we try to answer the harder questions we are faced with in life. It's a film about choices, making peace with all aspects of yourself, and knowing that in the end, there is no right or wrong answer. It's about moving forward, and accepting the twists of fate as they come.
A mysterious, utterly compelling puzzle graced with topnotch performances and beautifully presented.
We are instantly drawn to these charismatic women enigmatically trapped in an unusual escape room. Sparks fly between old rivals, conflicting passions boil over, and betrayals are exposed. At the centre of it all Elizabeth desperately needs to escape!
Based on a play that was one of the hits of the Toronto Fringe Theatre Festival, we get the best of both worlds. We are absorbed by the substance and depth of the original production and entranced by cinema's visual whimsical stylings.
For anyone who has at any time felt paralyzed by life. Moving and magical!

This short film has a super relatable subject conveyed in a way we've not seen before. I found the escape room setting to be refreshingly original and very eye-catching. Watch out for the easter eggs hidden in the background - there's something new to see on each viewing! Wonderful performances from the cast, dynamic all around. Myrthin Stagg gives real Nicole Kidman vibes. The script is both fun and engaging... Elizabeth's story is rather specific, but her struggle is highly relatable. The short is well-crafted, and by the end it makes you feel a little less alone in this world. Absolutely loved it.

Sabina Olivia Lambert helped film the auditions for the play as a favour to Lauren - and ended up directing the film version three years later.
