I went in not knowing what to expect as I'd never seen a Joran Kane-Lewis film before but 'Nothing goes' pleasantly surprised! From storyline to acting, location and music this film is set up to draw you in, this film grips you from start to finish. Without ruining it for others there are so many dark twists and turns that genuinely leave you feeling shocked and on the edge of your seat wanting to see and understand more. On multiple occasions I was left genuinely in awe at what I'd just seen.
The character development was so interesting and truly unexpected. It's definitely worth a watch! I'm also curious as to if they'll be a part two?!

I have given this film 9 stars out of 10 and I feel this is justified for its creativity.
The film was gripping from start to finish and well written. Great story line, detailing the characters enough to feel distinguishable. The film is quite direct and easy to follow.
The cast were relevant and played their roles very well. The main characters had really good chemistry together.
Music over some of the scenes added great tension and drama where needed.
I'm looking forward to seeing more from this writer/director. I'll certainly be keeping my eye out for more films from him.
Definitely worth a watch.

I was lucky enough to watch this film at my college as Jordan came in to premiere it, I really like the final product as the story was very well thought out and the narrative was easy and interesting to follow. If you haven't watched it I recommend you do as having a side characters POV is a interesting story to observe and follow. Another part I really loved was the transitioning between the character and his camera footage as it looked very retro. As well as that you have numerous creative camera techniques which can add meaning and themes throughout the film, Very well put together and I do recommend it to all audiences. MUST WATCH.

This film is aesthetically stunning and the story keeps you engaged throughout. The colours look amazing and I would highly recommend you check this out. I will 100% watch this again. The cinematography is great and the acting is superb. You really get to feel for the characters and I love how the story pans out. The film is really well made and very professional. The sound is also very good in this film. All these elements put together make a very entertaining watch. Jordan is a fantastic film maker and has proven this over the last two films he has made and I can't wait for the next one to be made.

Nothing Goes stars Aidan James as Alex, a university student whose life begins to spiral out of control after reluctantly taking part in a robbery which leads him down a dark path from which he can't escape.
Written and directed by Jordan-Kane Lewis, this small budget, Sheffield based thriller has a lot going for it, primarily a strong and compelling script by Lewis himself. The movie itself clocks in at just under an hour but I found myself desperately wanting more. I found the characters interesting, their motivations were always clear and the acting from its lead performers were pretty solid. There were a few moments where line deliveries felt a little awkward but for the most part Aidan James, Katie Walker and Steven Wardle do a great job. However, while their characters were all well fleshed out, there were a few moments that I felt could've been explored more than they were which falls back onto my thoughts on the films runtime. I'm unsure as to whether or not the runtime had to be less than an hour to allow Jordan to submit it to certain film festivals but it definitely felt like there were certain scenes missing, chopped down or rushed to get it to fit this certain time frame which is a shame as I'd have liked those aspects to have been explored more.
Now I could as Jordan this myself as I know the guy, but I wanted to give my honest thoughts on the movie as a whole from the experience I got because that's what I have to judge a movie on. I know how difficult it is to make a film and how much time, effort and dedication goes into it and I can safely say that I felt the passion and saw talent on display throughout. It's clear Jordan has a deep love for filmmaking which comes off in the gorgeous cinematography which was also handled by him. The tension builds up gradually throughout at a deliberately slow and methodical pace and results in a shocking, guy punch of an ending that left me stunned. That being said, as much as I loved the way the movie was shot and flowed, there a few moments that I felt could've built up the pace and become more frantic in its editing and shooting style. Primarily during the the robbery itself which felt very rushed, which would make sense in a robbery as you'd want to get in and out as quickly as possible, but I don't feel a sense of urgency or escalation during the scene and they're could've been more focus drawn to Aidan's reaction to what he's experiencing. However, this could again go back to the runtime issue previously mentioned before.
There were also a couple of predictable moments which probably just comes from my years of watching movies and I won't go into detail in this review as it's still a movie a highly recommended checking out. There is also a plot point revolving around someone who picks Aidan's character up while he's hitchhiking that I don't think was really needed or at least I personally wasn't a big fan of the direction that particular moment went in. That's not to say it was poorly shot or poorly acted, it just felt like the climax of that small subplot came out of nowhere and felt a little unnecessary.
Overall though, given the small scale and I'm guessing limited budget Jordan was working with, I think it's a pretty damn good thriller that is worth a watch. He's clearly got an eye for filmmaking and is certainly I rising talent that I'm going to keep my eye on and I look forward to seeing what he does next!

The Film Director and Writer of this film Jordan-Kane Lewis has some serious skills for a 24 Year old
. From the start you are drawn to the main characters and the music pumping away in the background...
If you liked Skins and horror you will like this film .
You follow the three main characters through there journey of Excitement , Danger and betrayal, as they try to earn some money . Very Now film , once you think you know what's happening , Bang it changes direction again and at the end Wow I wanted more and more excellent from everyone involved...well done definitely one film to watch when it's released 😊

Really good film lots of short form cuts into quick revealing scenes, many of the actors where very professional and interesting with there own storylines and personalities now I can tell you without spoiling the movie that they all have certain traits and things that make them who they are additionally like his last film there is something which is shown in multiple scenes a joy but turns to a plot twist at the end I think this film is a must watch and is very specific to its genre giving a more atmospheric feeling to the movie unlike most films around this genre in conclusion I think you should whatched this film because it's really good.

One of the best films I've seen in a long while. A little slow to start but thoroughly gripping once the ball gets rolling. The harsh subject matter makes it a tough watch but the clever mix of cinematography and the complex iconography almost make it too hard to look away. What starts as 'coming of age' flick quickly spirals into something quite dark that completely subverts traditional modern movie trends.
Not for the faint hearted, but anyone who can appreciate the masterful camera work and the well-paced increase in anxiety will certainly appreciate the bittersweet beauty in this relatively short feature.

The screenplay, is a work of art in itself. The dialogue is both sharp and profound, often leaving the audience with much to ponder. The storytelling is perfectly paced, and the narrative unfolds with a mesmerizing ebb and flow, ensuring that the viewer remains captivated from start to finish.
The director's vision is brought to life through masterful cinematography, which showcases the diverse landscapes and the emotional landscapes of the characters. The use of visual metaphors, such as the changing scenery during the road trip, adds depth to the storytelling. The film's uptempo musical score is fitting and collaborates greatly with the editing, enhancing the emotional impact of each scene.
The intensity of the situation with moments of raw, human vulnerability and naivety. The lead character's descent into the criminal underworld, is portrayed with such authenticity that it's impossible not to empathize with his plight, His inner turmoil is palpable.

This film will surprise you at how good it is despite the low budget and the short running time. It surprises you, takes you in directions that you didn't expect to go... And it's a slow burner in a really good way. Good acting, convincing performances and striking colour schemes. I really liked it and I was impressed at how quickly that hour went by.
There's really good sound as well and that is sometimes the downfall in a lot of low budget films. This one doesn't disappoint when it comes to such quality, and the way that it involves some analogue footage is very clever. It's a mature film for such a young filmmaker.

This is a must watch film.
Jordan-Kane Lewis is some writer and director because this film is one of the most interesting and well thought out films I've ever seen. The cinematography was on point, the cinematic sound was very realistic and those beats on the soundtrack were too good. I give this movie a 10/10 because it is a movie that I would pay to watch, and because of that genius ending also.
It was a great choice of actors as their performance was second to none, they really portrayed their characters perfectly and the end product really shows that. Congratulations to Jordan and his team.

Captivating from start to finish, this short film is a masterclass in tension-building. The director, producer, and writer showcase their extraordinary talent, crafting a narrative that keeps you on the edge of your seat. With every scene, the suspense tightens, leaving audiences breathless. A truly amazing cinematic experience that proves great storytelling knows no bounds. Despite its modest budget, this film shines as a testament to creativity and resourcefulness. The director's vision, coupled with the producer's strategic use of limited resources, delivers a cinematic gem that surpasses expectations. The writer's ingenuity in crafting a compelling story with depth and resonance is commendable. A testament to the power of passion and talent in filmmaking, this production proves that greatness can be achieved regardless of financial constraints. I look forward to see more from this talented director producer and writer.

Beautiful cinematography throughout, the fast paced shots to the up tempo music were a fantastic opening to this intense film. The film explored naivety and corruption in such a clever way, the shots of the scenery in the Scotland montage were captivating, then slowly building up to the intense ending and twist once a new character enters the film. The film was engaging, constantly having you on the edge of your seat, waiting for what happens next and leaving you questioning the actions of the characters. Clever writing throughout, fantastic score and amazing editing, another great offering from Jordan-Kane Lewis and the cast and crew.

I was totally invested in this movie definitely his best work! I thought the lead actor did an excellent job. I loved the whole vibe of this movie it was dark and real to me and it gave me that feeling of anxiety in my chest. I wanna know what movie they were watching in the opening scene! The supporting actors were also well cast. I thought the filming of the movie was excellent: the scenes, the shots were extremely well done it was a great story. I see a lot of growth in the films of Jordan Kane Lewis. Mind you I'm not a film critic just a film buff but I would definitely recommend this to my friends Two big thumbs up!

A masterpiece of writing, acting and visually striking filming which keeps you hooked from the opening titles. I was absolutely blown away by the ending which was totally unexpected and left me and I suspect most of the audience in total shock and awe!! Still thinking and talking about it now. Expect the unexpected and you will still be blown away. A must see. Well done to all involved. Jordan-Kane Lewis and the rest of the cast and crew deserve the highest accolade and I am sure will go on to become mainstream stars in the future. Awaiting the next masterpiece. Nothing less than 10 stars. Well done to all.

Loved the film being part of it, was a short shoot so I helped with transport as well! I played Charlie and it was a great time.
If anyone is looking for a short-feature around or just over a typically series episode in length this is the perfect little film.
Overall the project flows really well and it's always interesting to see what was kept and left in the edit. I would say all the stuff shot with my character was kept ;)
I'm looking forward for people to see the next project All You Do Is Bleed where I play James the male protagonist which is polar opposite in regards to the performance to Charlie who is the personification of evil.

This film is an absolute must see!
The film has a sense of initial dream like and childlike wonder, it portrays young love really well set in the modern industrial landscape of Sheffield. The filming is stunning and some shots are truly breath-taking. Jordan has really knocked this film out of the park, its a true labour of love and is displayed throughout. The story 10/10, the filming 10/10, this film is gripping, funny and great throughout; At no point are you bored or waiting for the next sequence its paced so well. The actors and production team did an amazing job. The final film is truly a masterpiece of independent British cinema.

Short, simple, interesting film would watch again, very grown up film so if you're interested in a drama and fast paced/on edge kinda film I would recommend this, tho wouldn't watch with young people in the room.the main character comes across naive to me but of course that's the point of the fil lm that's why a lot of the stuff going on happens because of the main characters naive view and denial of how wicked the world is, I like the visuals of the film looks very colourful and on point, could tell it was on a low budget but that doesn't seem to effect the films story or how engaging the film is actual watched in on my own at my place, one thing I don't like it how it ends and I have no idea what happened to his girlfriend and peach(I think that's his name) kinda left me wanting to know what happens to them perhaps in a second film?

Nothing goes is a brutal, brave and beautifully shot short film. The film is very well acted, and includes a brilliant and engaging score. The filmmaker pays close attention to detail in each and every scene. Despite the brutality, the film is not without both heart and humour.
Any fan of cinema will appreciate the film for its interesting camera work and rich visual style. The film features some great character costume, hair and makeup design/style; worth watching for this alone.
Incredibly accomplished for such a young filmmaker
Sheffielders will enjoy identifying all the various different filming locations.

The film is gripping right from the start, beautiful cinematic work and an amazingly intense and engaging story. The soundtrack is absolutely brilliant and really brings the film together.
It's some of the best cinematography I've seen in a while, with beautiful scenic shots and fast paced action, there's nothing not to like about it.
Some really good acting from Aiden James aswell, the film is a perfect piece of cinema and I really can't wait to see where Jordan-Kane Lewis goes next with future films.
I very highly recommend this film to anyone who hasn't seen it, I guarantee you'll love it.
