Borderline performative

The trigger warning at the beginning of the film serves no purpose as the multiple graphic rape scenes are disturbing enough to the general audience, let alone the survivors of sexual violence. The cinematography is undeniably outstanding and the issues being raised of porn addiction, manipulative relationships, consent, & sexual harassment are important to address, however, the execution felt half-baked. Gina S. Noer spent the first half of the film building a foundation for empathy toward the main characters, each with their own issues, yet the second half of the film only focused on Sarah and not even in a good way. By the time the film reached its ending, it was like giving a pat on the shoulder of the victims & survivors and saying "We stand with you but we can't do much tho so good luck".

Nice acting, color, and camera angle.

Quite an interesting film. I thought this movie was bad, but it's not. This film is able to bring the perspective of sexual violence to women well. The acting of the players also looks very lively in the role. Especially the scene when the conflict comes and starts to get angry. Feel really angry.

Visually, this film is good. I like the colors in this film. The camera angle is also okay. The Production Design is also cute. Overall technically, I like it.

Don't forget the score which is nice to hear. You will feel the ASMR sensation, but use cinema speakers. For those who like ASMR, please enjoy.

A great movie

An enjoyable movie that inspires on more than one level. A young woman is a victim of a #metoo-era sexual abuse - she said no, and was made to have sex anyway. These are the kind of borderline cases most difficult to resolve, and the movie depicts that reality without getting preachy. The movie also showcases a handful of relationships - mother-daughter, best friends, a young woman and a wise woman with sensible counsel - that tell how relationships are strained, even broken for awhile, among people who love each other. How to resolve those, how to restore them? This story has some answers, it's at times mirthful, and very satisfying watch.

Bold. Eye-Opening. Educating.

Unusual Indonesian movie, in a good way. Very bold storytelling with pleasing visuals.

I dare to say this is one of the bravest movie in Indonesia to portray the complexity of being a teenager in this country. Surrounded by fast-growing technologies and access to the Internet, many would be trapped in the wrong path, thus what the main characters did in this movie. This movie opens many discussion about how to protect younger generations and how we should do around those who being a victim of sexual abuse.

Very educating and would be good if you watch it in a good condition because of the trigger warning. Make sure to watch it with your closest friend or family.

This is a review about a movie, not its cast

I will review this movie based on the movie itself, not based on any personal matter that its cast may have. Because it is irrelevant.

I think this movie is very brave because it tells a story that is still considered taboo by many in Indonesia. It tells a story about, among others, pornography addiction on teens, sexual harassment, and rape. Although many might think the topic is still taboo, it is very important to bring up this subject to raise awareness, not just for teenagers, but also for parents, teachers, and others. Gina S. Noer successfully and beautifully captivates my attention from the first minute of this movie, until the last. I hope this movie can educate and can somehow change people's life for the better.

A movie about bravery

This is a story about bravery. Two young girl who fought against harrashment and patriachy. It is telling us about problems that is faced by real people that often being diminished, especially in a country where woman is considered as an object.

This movie, that started as simple teenager love story, hid a strong message with hope that someday the world can be kinder to women.

Where no victim being blamed and their words are taken seriously. Where the perpetrator held accountable for their action, and cannot hide using religious belief or poor justice system.

This is a story that was told, so that people who are going through similar situation understand, that they are not alone.

A Very Important Movie

A breathtaking and eye opening movie! Script is on point, the visuals are beautifully crafted. I think this movie is going to be an important piece for Indonesian teenagers. I imagine this to be a mandatory watch for sex educational purposes in schools.

This movie reflects the scary reality that is threatening coming-of-age adolescents. Not only in Indonesia, but everywhere in the world that uses social media.

And to address the elephant in the room. I believe the scandal of one of the main cast should not hinder the greater purpose of this film. Because this film is way greater beyond mere infotainment. I hope more people, especially Indonesians, can watch this movie.

Well done!

Message felt too forced

Without spoiling anything to the audience, Like & Share decided to bring up an important theme in Indonesian society: sexual assault and revenge porn.

But in the end the message felt too on the nose and the delivery feels uncreative. In an age where we have a multitude of great works bringing this theme up in ways that are innovative without losing its gravity (Promising Young Woman, being one of the many stellar examples), this movie feels very boring and dull in comparison.

The movie offers nothing new, and it feels too preachy as a consequence. It smacks you on the nose with its message. Not to mention the whole scandal that happened with the cast of the show, which definitely left a bad taste in people's mouths and did spoil the experience a little. Of course, had the movie been good it probably wouldn't have mattered, but the quality of this movie really isn't that special to the point of salvaging the whole thing.

I wouldn't suggest this movie to anyone I know, nor would I spend money on it. I'd really suggest watching Promising Young Woman if you're looking for a grittier movie surrounding SA as a theme.

Important movie for our generation!

People worked very hard for this movie. The script is really well written, the actor's chemistry are amazing and the plot is crafted very well!

Well done for Gina and team for this masterpiece! 💕💕💕

The movie is really inspired me to be bold and have a guts to speak up about my experience with my body and my sexual awakening.

Every scene and every dialogue are meaningful. I think Gina (the writer and director) is being honest when she talk about how hard it is to be a teenager in this century.

I hope someday i could be as brave as she is and i think this movie will touch many people's heart.

Sweet and bitter

Is it wise?. , people judge the movie bad because of her personal life... If i see a movie.. i just want to see the movie, not the scandal or her personal life that i dont know it by my self.. And i believe this movie brings something positive to the audience . I personally see the movie worth to see. That live is not only sweet but bitter...like the hater that is goin to hate whatever happen , judge without knowing. This is the movie all about.. see it.. then you can feel it.

I saw this movie with 2 of my friends, we all agreed that the movie had something.. it is deep, we could not describe it. Just see it.. the you can feel it by your self . Bravo gina... Yo have done it well .. thank u.

This year's best, the movie is so well-made.

I came to the cinema with no expectation and got surprised by how this movie is well-made. The storyline, script, acting are all top notch. The audacity of the filmmakers to produce a movie with this kind of plot is awesome. Aurora Ribero is simply our next best thing. She delivers outstanding performance and great chemistry with her fellow actor, Arawinda Kirana. Other actors also did a great job especially Unique Pricilla and Jerome Kurnia. The movie is also visually pleasing with nice touch of art.

Hats-off Gina Noer, Like and Share will remain one of our best coming of age movie and definitely this year's best.

Very good movie, forget about the scandal

I am a very objective person. I only judge people by their work.

This is very good movie and it contains a lot of messages. Raising issues that occur in the community. About pornography addiction, sexual harassment on teens, rape, and humiliation to the victims. It also tells about the relationship in the family between mother and child, also between siblings. I also like the cinematography, it is truly beautiful. It. With visuals that spoil my eyes and of course the ASMR. After all this is a very solid movie with a solid story and characters. Arawinda and Aurora Ribero were very successful in playing their roles

You'll regret it if you don't watch it because it's a rare movie.

Surely one of the best

Strong and beautifully crafted. The script is well-written, knitting the friendship and family story with important messages about rape and pornography. The visual is pleasing, the most improved aspect from the director.

The actors are top notch, makes you believe and feel the pain. Aurora Ribero is brilliant. This is the first time she gets this kind of role, and she nailed it. She should be on the award list next year.

This movie is enjoyable, but also can triggering something inside of you. So, despite of all the controversy and what happened in social media, this is the best Indonesian film in 2022.

amazing movie

The cinematography of this film it was amazing. They do it so well, they bring us into the emotion. Just crazy, almost perfect. The color, the cut, the shot, the set, the properties and wardrobe did it so well, this film is meaningfull. They've done it so well, i feel it, the feminism issues, that they were talking about. Let's talk about the cut 'cause i really love it. The editor make the emotion comes out, it was crazy, when they only use the master shot, unless close up shot for the intense emotion and it goes so meaningfull. And the shot just crazy, they almost always use the long shot and camera movement, it make it more intense. And the color is amazing, i got it, that blue and yellow, green and red.
