At a leading ad agency, the battle for the top job between Rahul Verma, the advertising CEO, and Maya Luthra, his ambitious protégée, takes an ugly turn when Maya files a sexual harassment complaint against Rahul.

At one of India's leading ad agencies, the battle for the top job between Rahul Verma (Arjun Rampal), a venerated advertising CEO, and Maya Luthra (Chitrangada Singh) his ambitious protege is underway. Maya is married and has a kid. Maya has filed a sexual harassment complaint against him.

Now its the job of the committee headed by Mrs. Kamdhar (Deepti Naval) set up by the agency bosses to hear both sides of the story and work through the layers of lies and accusations to find out who's really telling the truth and who's lying. The stakes are high because only one of them (Rahul or Maya) will walk away with their reputation intact and get the top job.

Kamdhar interviews Maya & Rahul one by one. Maya says that Rahul & Maya were friends before she left for NY & returned after a few yrs to join the agency in their Mumbai office. The agency won an award in Goa for which Rahul put in a lot of hard work, but Maya accepted the award & didn't acknowledge Rahul. She got a promotion on that basis. Maya first experienced harassment when Rahul tried to get close to Maya in Goa.

Rahul in turn questions the boundary between flirting & harassment & says that he hired Maya in the first place 7 years ago at the same ad award festival. Rahul took the small-town girl under his wings & taught her everything that made her successful. Rahul also alleges that Maya profited from her relationship with him & not the other way around.

One of the committee members tells Kamdhar how 6 years ago Rahul & Maya went on an assignment to Thailand & Maya willingly slept with Raul in response to his advances. Maya was in love with Rahul at that point. She even introduced Rahul to her family. But then Rahul moved on to other conquests & this angers Maya off. She confronts Rahul & asks for a transfer, which he refuses to give.

But Maya secures the transfer anyways & returns after many years to the Goa event & gets promoted to the board of directors & national creative director for India. This decision was made without consulting Rahul & at one point Rahul even advises Maya not to take the job as he thinks she is not ready. Kamdhar realizes that Rahul must be really angry with this decision & decides to speak with other staff in the office.

The staff tells Kamdhar that after the promotion Maya changed her attitude & not Rahul. Maya starts misbehaving with staff & even fires a few who had been hired by Rahul, on grounds on non-performance. It seems that there is underlying tension between the 2. Rahul responds by misbehaving with clients & accounts that Maya is solely responsible for. Both Rahul & Maya wait for the other to patch things up, but thing only go from bad to worse between them.

As part of the promotion, Maya was given ownership of 2 big accounts that Rahul was earlier handling, but Rahul made some excuse or another to not hand over the accounts to Maya. During that phase Rahul makes inappropriate comments like asking Maya to come to his house for the handover. At his house, Rahul informs Maya that the new campaign for the account is not ready (which needs to be presented the next day). Maya knows she will lose her job. Rahul indirectly asks Maya to sleep with him in exchange for saving her career.

Rahul when questioned by Kamdhar, says that Rahul didn't give her the campaign, because it was not his job to work on it. He did not make any inappropriate comments & that Maya threatened him for losing the account. The next day Maya is confronted by the owner for losing the account & she is told to "make it work" with Rahul. Maya alleges that after this incident, Rahul made every attempt to sabotage Maya's work, to pass lewd comments as humor & to discredit Maya in front of her staff & the owners.

One day Maya steals Rahul's pitch & presents it to the client. That night at a party at Maya's house, Maya alleges that Rahul tried to force himself on her while Rahul alleges that Maya came at him to hit him & he was simply handling her to protect himself. Maya goes on to the day that when she wanted to file a sexual harassment complaint based on this incident, she was discouraged by his boyfriend & by the owners of the agency.

Rahul alleges that Maya has filed the complaint so that Rahul gets fired & Maya gets the job of CEO, which is Rahul's current job. Owners are under pressure to kill this issue, as Maya is threatening to take this to court & the publicity will kill the agency. The committee is split down the middle & the owners order their lawyers to invent some kickback cases against Maya to discredit her.

Maya confronts Rahul in a toilet & says that in desperation she went & slept with John, a partner who was thinking of investing in the agency. Rahul gets furious & says that he loved Maya. He was angry because Maya allowed the owners to get in between them & to create barriers. Maya also re-iterates her love for him. The next day Rahul quits the agency & leaves for an unknown destination. Maya leaves as well.
