Loveyapa has been struggling at the box office since it arrived at the start of Valentine’s week. Starring Junaid Khan & Khushi Kapoor, the debut film of the star kids stand at a total of an estimated 4.4. crore at the box office in three days.

Despite the struggle, the romantic comedy helmed by Advait Chandan has managed to surpass the weekend box office collection of the last rom-com starring a pair of debutantes. It was Ishq Vishk Rebound that starred Pashmin Roshan and Rohit Saraf.

On the third day, Sunday, February 9, Loveyapa earned 1.65 crore at the box office, a very slight growth from the previous day, which earned 1.5 crore. Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s rom-com earned only 5 lakh more than the weekend collection of Ishq Vishk.

On the second day, Saturday, December 21, the Anil Sharma film took a jump of almost 39% at the box office. It earned 1.02 crore on Saturday after earning 73 lakh on the opening day.

The film is already one of the lowest grossing films in Hindi at the box office in 2024. In fact, it already opened as the 5th lowest opening film at the box office surpassing only films like Naam, I Want To Talk and others.

It was an excellent second week for Munjya as just a little under 35 crores more came in the second week. The first week’s film collections totaled 36.60 crores, a negligible fall. This was made possible by a very good second weekend and then super stable collections right through the weekdays when the numbers never ever went below the 3 crores mark. Even if 2 crores or more had come in then it would have been great for the film and here the collections are in 3 crores range.

With 3 crores more coming on Thursday, the film has now built a case for itself to aim for 10 crores in the third weekend. That’s always a tough task, even for a mid-budget film, and here, Munjya is a low-budget offering, and to get over 10 crores even in the third weekend would indeed be something.
