  • Cutting down trees? Hanging stockings? Santa Claus? What do any of these have to do with Jesus' birthday? More than you'd think! VeggieTales creator Phil Vischer along intrepid newsman Buck Denver journey into the world's most popular holiday! You know the Christmas story. But do you know the story of Christmas? Don't miss the educational, Christmical party to end all Christmas parties.—Anonymous

Descrizione

  • The film is being viewed by Michael the "King of the Minivan" as he is on his way to his grandmother's house for a Christmas party.

we meet Buck Denver the news reporter at his house in the snowy woods of Indiana, Midwestern United Sates near Christmas time, he is puzzling unjoyfully about what Christmas is all about. soon two of his friends arrive, the old Miss Sunday-School Lady and his young stage manager assistant Marcy. they ask him what he's wondering about and he asks various different confusing difficult questions about Christmas. they soon decide that they need to throw a festive educational "Christmacle" party celebration to answer all of his questions and for Sundyschool Lady to bake her special sweet gingerbread pepper-cracker cookies which Captain Pete loves. Buck sends all of his pet flying squirrels to deliver all of their party invitations to all of their friends. they make the message reach all of their friends: Pastor Paul the posh pianist and dictionary-genius, Charlie "Chuck" Wagon The Guitar-Playing Cowboy, the jungle brother boys (both of which are likely teens and have NZ-like accents): clever Clive (older brother) & pony-obsessed Ian (younger brother) who both like to sing and tell puns (especially Ian), Brother Louis "Louie" the opera-rock singer, and Catpain Petey the legal and inventing Scottish-accented pirate captain who sails the Pacific Ocean and studies church history.

Pastor Paul makes it to Buck's house with his big book of Christmas Carols which he decides to non-stop play and sing each of the songs at least twice all day long. Capt. Pete makes it to Indiana, only to realise that it was actually India not Inadiana and that his crew and his first mate Stuart sailed him there by accident and that they had already sailed back to sea so it was too late to go back to sea and change direction. luckily, a purple Indian Monkey who drives a rickshaw gives him a lift to Indiana but they fall off a cliff and into the ocean and try to get there by the sea. Chuck Wagon and Brother Louie (who are neighbors) travel half way by their truck, and pick up a Popsicle stick puppeteer friend of Buck's who Buck had forgotten to invite (though Buck does have a slight grudge against him) named Chester Wiggett. then their truck soon breaks down, they meet two old opera ladies named Agnes & Winifred who say they are fans of "Bowling For Brocoli" and of "What's In The Bible" but they appear to dislike Buck Denver and also appear to hate men and so they leave them marooned with their broken truck. Clive & Ian soon ride along in their sleigh and offer them a lift, but soon some rabbits appear and their horses (who have a terrible fear of rabbits) get terrified and causes the sleigh to collide into a ditch and it sinks into the snow, leaving them marooned lying in the snow. by nightfall, Monkey and Capt. Pete arrive in the very wet but still working rickshaw and offer them a lift.

they manage to make the rest of the way and arrive just when Buck is about to cancel and end the party, they all party and sing together only to realise that all the pepper-cracker is eaten. Sundayschool Lady says she can make some more and with that, they all cheer as the film ends. after the end, Chester is heard saying: "guys, I'm still in the rickshaw! guys?".
