Soi-lát-daa-laen

This movie could, and should have scored an 8. I haven't seen anything as gloomy in this in a long time. You really have an empathy for the characters & wish them nothing but a happy outcome. Do they get one? That would be a spoiler too far.

I mentioned earlier it should have scored an 8, the reason it didn't was because I felt more effort into making the ghosts look like, well ghosts! Most of the time they just look like actors that are acting ghostly, instead of using special effects to make them creepier.

This is a story of a new life with new prospects that go completely wrong. The acting is superb and the whole viscaral feeling of the movie is almost claustrophobic. It's a brilliant film that I would recommend to those that don't just look for blood, gore & cheap jump scares.

It could do with fifteen minutes knocking off the runtime but it does bare sticking with, though the very last five minutes are poor.

This was award best picture, best actor & actress in 2012. I don't know if the awards are like our Oscars or not but hey, to each(country) his own. To me, run-of-the-mill horror flick with fast moving ghost images, some gore and blood, a spoiled teenage brat and the husband who got sucked into an 'amway-type' scheme for a employment. See this if you have nothing else planned. I saw it on n/f 9/25/2018.

This is one of the more scarier horror movies i've seen. I've been meaning to watch it for a while and just got around to it. The special effects makeup was super tacky, but the jump scares were superb, made my heart flip a few times. The acting was okay i guess, it was believable. Pretty OK movie.

The Thai Get Out. Kind of. A little clumsy in the delivery of the spookiness. What could have been frightening becomes a little hackneyed because of lack of timing. The ghost reaches a hand out to touch a person over the span of a whole minute.
