Wymyk

I enjoyed watching "Wymyk" (Courage) because I thought that the story was good, and it kept me interested all the way. It also has a universal appeal regardless of the country you live in. The plot is about two brothers, Alfred (Robert Wieckiewicz) and Jerzy (Lukasz Simlat), who grew up in a suburban home with traditional values. Although they are brothers, their characters are different. Their everyday routine is interrupted by a sudden accident on a train: the younger brother, Jerzy, stands up to a group of hooligans and is severely beaten. The older brother, Alfred, witnesses this but does not defend him. As a result, Alfred is haunted by remorse and thoughts about his inferiority. All this looked quite credible to me, and I enjoyed the good acting of Robert Wieckiewicz and the realism of the background. To me the chief lesson of this story is that none of us can turn back time, and we must come to terms with the consequences of our actions. In addition, we also have to accept the things we cannot change, including our own weakness. But this is just one hint, and "Courage" can give you some more material for reflections.
