Absolutely loved this series. Binged it in an afternoon. Captivating and so realistic!
A beautiful insight into friendship, loss and men's inability to speak their feelings. Made me laugh, cry and reflect. Best Aussie drama I've seen in a long time, using an iteresting take on grief.
Believable relationships with all characters, friends and family. A truly modern, Australian take on suicide and and the afterlife. I think anyone who has been touched by mental illness will appreciate the humour that sometimes needs to go along with these topics.
Overall very funny that features star performances from the lead two, who play a gorgeous duo.
Great to see Russell Dykstra again.

This could easily have been a movie too, watched all episodes in a row in one night. A heartfelt Aussie drama, with laughs and tears, and real to life situations. One thing most series or films have not done well is mental health especially for men. This series does this exceptionally well, especially the last two episodes. It tells us that it is okay to talk about stuff that we tend to hold within ourselves that only makes things worse. It tells us that we should look after and out for our mates. It tells us how to recognise and notice when our mates may not be going well, and how to step in. And it also demonstrates how easy it is to start a conversation off with a therapist, and that it is okay to ask for help and go to therapy. Well done to the writer, director and producer of this series.
A very real situation dealt with in true Aussie style with humour and feeling. As other reviewers have said, a "ghost" being in limbo and unable to "pass over".
Hilarity ensues as Charlie and Nate try and figure out what unfinished business is keeping Nate in limbo.
This also deals with the confusion, anger and grief experienced by those left behind when someone dies unexpectedly.
It also has snippets of the aftermath of divorce and how differently people cope with the fallout from that.
I've made this series sound quite depressing and full of angst but it is anything but. It is extremely clever and beautifully produced.
Nate's unlimited supply of colourful shirts is an added joy. Whoever sourced them is a genius!

Storyline seemed a bit covered by many movies and series about ghosts needed to complete unfinished business before "crossing over" ...
However, surprisingly, this Aussie series set in Brisbane is actually endearing and great mixture of comedy and drama and tear jerking !
Casting is excellent !
Enjoyed the chosen filming locations around Brisbane.
I particularly liked how the characters interact straight from the beginning.
It's a series where it's easy to follow the storyline, feel the compassion for the way each character manage the grief.
How each character evolves through the episodes.
Above all, it's not a series that gives lessons on the "afterlife".

The show deals with tragedy, loss, family, friendship, and it does so in a funny and heartwarming way.. while the topic is serious and affects people everyday, the show approaches it with humanity and humor where appropriate, and with seriousness when it is needed. Questions of spirituality and religion are addressed head-on without being preachy or dogmatic. The characters are well developed and the casting and directing are top notch. We need more shows like this that are relatable and human and not just about sex or dysfunctional families.. I binged the entire season in one night, I just couldn't stop!
