Adam Driver & Scarlett Johansson’s 95% Rt Drama Film Is Being Used To Scare Off Wolves
Image
Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson’s Marriage Story is currently being utilized in a way few could have predicted. Directed by Noah Baumbach, the 2019 drama follows Charlie (Driver) and Nicole Barber (Johansson) as they navigate a bi-coastal divorce and face custody issues surrounding their son. The movie received critical acclaim, including six Oscar nominations, and one win by Laura Dern.

Now, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal, an audio clip from Marriage Story is being used to scare off wolves.WSJ reports that gray wolves are currently terrorizing livestock across the American West, and their endangered status has essentially forbidden lethal deterrents. However, the growing attacks on sheep and cattle have inspired a new plan.

The United States Department of Agriculture has begun employing drones blasting audio clips from loudspeakers to scare the endangered wolves away from livestock herds. The clips range from AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck,...

Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver’s Argument in Marriage Story Being Used by Usda to Scare Off Wolves and Save Cattle
Image
Now that’s scary. According to a recent Wall Street Journal report, the sounds of Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver screaming at each other in Noah Baumbach’s 2019 film, Marriage Story, are being used by the United States Department of Agriculture to frighten off wolves from killing cattle on farms throughout America.

The fight between Johansson’s Nicole Barber and Driver’s Charlie Barber is one of the recordings broadcast through loudspeakers on “drone cowhands” alongside other sounds like fireworks and gunshots. These quadcopters also use thermal cameras to detect “any wolf lurking in the darkness and bathe it in a spotlight,” as described in the report.

“I need wolves to respond and know that, hey, humans are bad,” a Usda district supervisor in Oregon explained.

The practice, known as “wolf hazing,” also employs the sounds of AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” to stave off wolves from attacking vulnerable livestock.

Noah Baumbach in Lo stravagante mondo di Greenberg (2010)
The U.S. government is using Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver’s screaming scene from Marriage Story to ward off wolves
Noah Baumbach in Lo stravagante mondo di Greenberg (2010)
The U.S. government is using one of Hollywood’s most memebable moments of the past decade to save animals! Finally, a story about the nation’s vampires-in-charge that gives you the warm and fuzzies instead of dry heaves! In a stroke of genius, the United States Department of Agriculture is using Noah Baumbach‘s iconic scene of Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver screaming at one another in the 2019 drama Marriage Story to save livestock on farms across America.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the ultimately uncomfortable custody battle scene discourages wolves from attacking cattle and livestock, a process called wolf hazing. Before using the climactic scene from Marriage Story, farmers used the song “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC, giving an alternative to Brian Johnson’s intense, screeching vocals and Angus Young’s masterful guitar licks.

“Riding to the rescue are drone cowhands, whose quadcopters have thermal cameras that can reveal...

Usda Is Saving Cattle By Scaring Away Wolves With Vitriolic ‘Marriage Story’ Argument Scene
Image
Wolves hoping to feast on livestock on farms across the country have had their appetite spoiled by the sound of Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver arguing. According to the Wall Street Journal, the Usda has programmed drone cowhands to broadcast the explosive argument scene from Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story, in which the two actors spend four minutes screaming about how much they hate each other, to scare the predators away.

“I need the wolves to respond and know that, hey, humans are bad,” the Oregon-based Usda district supervisor, Paul Wolf,...

Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver Screaming in ‘Marriage Story’ Being Used by U.S. Government to Scare Off Wolves
Image
The iconic (and often-memed) fight scene from “Marriage Story” is now being used by the U.S. government to save animals.

Noah Baumbach’s Academy Award-winning 2019 film stars Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver as a couple enduring a divorce; the pivotal climax amid their custody battle includes Driver’s character punching a wall. Both Johansson and Driver earned Oscar nominations for their respective performances.

The Wall Street Journal reported that six years after the film was released, the United States Department of Agriculture selected the audio of the scene in question to scare off wolves from killing cattle and livestock on farms across America. The process is wolf hazing, and loud music such as “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC is used to do it. Now, also “Marriage Story.”

“Riding to the rescue are drone cowhands, whose quadcopters have thermal cameras that can reveal any wolf lurking in the darkness and bathe it in a spotlight.

Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver Screaming At Each Other Is Being Used to Scare Wolves
Image
In order to protect cattle herds, U.S. government wanted to scare off predatory wolves and show them that “humans are bad.”

So they used the most terrifying audio imaginable: A married couple fighting.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the United States Department of Agriculture is using a recording of Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver screaming at each other in Marriage Story to frighten wolves across the American West. In the 2019 Noah Baumbach film, the duo play a couple going through a bitter divorce. The film includes a particularly raw argument scene (video below), which is presumably the one being used.

The Usda is reportedly using drones with speakers blasting the scene (along with other recordings such as AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck,” fireworks and gunshots).

Rage the characters in the film: “You’ll never be happy!” “You’re back to being a hack!” “You gaslighted me!” “Life with you is joyless!

Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver Fighting in ‘Marriage Story’ Is Being Used by the Usda to Scare Off Wolves and Save Cattle: ‘They Need to Know Humans Are Bad’
Image
A new report from The Wall Street Journal reveals that audio of Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver screaming at each other in Noah Baumbach’s “Marriage Story” is being used by the United States Department of Agriculture to scare off wolves from killing cattle and scaring livestock on farms across the America. The fight scene is the most emotionally volatile moment in Baumbach’s 2019 drama, which earned both Johansson and Driver Oscar nominations.

Per the WSJ: “Riding to the rescue are drone cowhands, whose quadcopters have thermal cameras that can reveal any wolf lurking in the darkness and bathe it in a spotlight. A loudspeaker broadcasts alarming sounds like fireworks, gunshots and people arguing. One recording is of the fight between Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver in the movie ‘Marriage Story.'”

“I need the wolves to respond and know that, hey, humans are bad,” a Usda district supervisor in Oregon told the publication.

‘Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ Season 2 Trailer Promises High Kicks and Higher Drama for ‘America’s Sweethearts’
Image
Prepare to be Thunderstruck once again! The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are back for a second season of the Netflix docuseries “America’s Sweethearts.”

Directed by Emmy winner Greg Whiteley, “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” captures the unfiltered lives of the team (and those who aspire to be on it) on and off the field. The series was an instant hit when it debuted last spring, launching onto Netflix’s Top 10 worldwide chart with 2.3 million views in its first four days on the platform, causing thousands of viewers to attempt those high-flying jump splits. The streamer renewed the show last fall, and Variety exclusively revealed that seven new 60-minute episodes would debut on June 18.

Season 2 will follow the 2024-2025 squad, led by program director Kelli Finglass and choreographer Judy Trammell, from start to finish — kicking off at auditions and training camp and continuing through the ongoing NFL season — and the new trailer previews all the blood,...

Inside the Netflix Upfront: Charlize Theron, Roger Goodell and Quite a Few Catchphrases
Image
Netflix returned to the upfronts on Wednesday afternoon with a presentation that, at first, looked like it might be a production of Waiting for Gadot.

Initially looking awfully serious, Jude Law and Jason Bateman stood in respective spotlights on an otherwise empty stage at downtown’s Perelman Performing Arts Center in Manhattan. But the facade soon cracked. The dependably sardonic Bateman set up a trailer for their new series, Black Rabbit, as Law played his part and pushed one of the streamer’s chosen slogans of the day: “Welcome to the center of attention.”

The messaging has not changed since the last dog and pony show for media buyers: Netflix has achieved cultural ubiquity in a manner that no other streamer has come close. Naturally, it is the best place for advertising. Right? Right? Amy Reinhard, Netflix’s president of advertising, kicked off a one-ish hour spiel by reiterating that...

Cobra Kai's Ralph Macchio Had One Condition For His Most Shocking Moment
Image
The following contains spoilers for the entire final season of "Cobra Kai."

"Cobra Kai" Season 6 Part 3 is full of moments straight out of most "Karate Kid" enthusiasts' dreams. For six years, the show has done fan service the right way, using it to say something about its characters, the past, and the present. When the first season essentially redid the original plot of "The Karate Kid" but with Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña) turning to the dark side and purposely using a dirty trick to win, it was to show Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) realizing the dangers of passing along the more aggressive aspects of the Cobra Kai teachings.

This continues all the way to the final episodes of Season 6, which are some of the best episodes in the entire show. We see themes and character arcs come full circle, hard-won victories achieved, and plenty of shocking moments. Arguably, though, one...

9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5's Returning Star Is Owen's Final Chance At Love
Image
Spoiler alert: The following article contains spoilers from 9-1-1: Lone Star season 5, episode 5, "Thunderstruck."

With only seven episodes to go, 9-1-1: Lone Star season 5, episode 5, "Thunderstruck," brings back one character who, in retrospect, could be the perfect person for Owen. The Fox procedural drama TV show created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear follows the personal and work lives of first responders in Austin, Texas. More specifically, 9-1-1: Lone Star heavily revolves around Station 126, a firehouse led by Rob Lowe's Owen, a firefighter captain.

Owen moved from New York City to Austin with his son, Tk, at the start of 9-1-1: Lone Star. While Owen has been a great captain, friend, and father, he has also been unlucky in love for almost the whole series. His relationship with Gwyn Morgan had been a rollercoaster for years, even before the show began,...

911: Lone Star season 5, episode 5 recap and review: "Thunderstruck"
Image
There are a lot of debates over whether animals have feelings or not. All you have to do is really look at animals to know that they do, and 911: Lone Star season 5, episode 5 gives us a look at that.

Caution: This post contains Spoilers for 911: Lone Star season 5, episode 5.

This episode has a few ongoing threads happening. Owen’s focus is on the guilt he feels for “giving up” on his brother. Just because the horse Thunder suffers from illnesses and is a bit of a mad one, he doesn’t want to see it put down. So, he focuses on finding a new home.

There are times that the best thing for an animal is to euthanize it. However, I don’t think it was time for Thunder. When he went off with his rider on his back, it wasn’t to cause havoc. It was to...

With Carlos (Rafael L. Silva) obsessed with trying to find his father’s killer, there’s been a strain on his and T.K.’s (Rubinstein) relationship. They had to go to couples counseling, and among the issues? Carlos falling asleep during their “sexy time.” Rubinstein loved that scene. “My showrunners are very aware of my love for Brad Pitt’s career, and they literally kind of recreated that scene based off of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. It literally says it in the script, the very first description is ‘Imagine Mr. and Mrs. Smith therapy scene. They even shot it that way and even situated us that way,'” he shares with TV Insider as part of our 9-1-1: Lone ...

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Reece and Hopefuls Charly and Kelly Talk “Surreal” ‘America’s Sweethearts’ Journey
Image
[This story contains spoilers from America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.]

The internet’s latest obsession, America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, has legions of viewers attempting the legendary cheer squad’s iconic “Thunderstruck” dance and, once again, talking about the hot-button topic of low NFL cheerleader pay.

The seven-episode Netflix docuseries brought viewers behind-the-scenes of the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders’ 2023-2024 squad tryouts, training camp and season. The Greg Whiteley-directed show has pulled the featured cheerleaders into the spotlight — much like the people featured in Whiteley’s other Netflix docuseries Cheer and Last Chance U.

America’s Sweethearts follows cheerleaders who were previously on the team, referred to as “vets” or “veterans,” while also introducing viewers to several rookie candidates — among them fan favorites Reece, Charly and Kelly.

Throughout the series, while the team is in training camp, an onscreen counter shows viewers the current number of rookies and veterans in the camp. The squad’s...

AC/DC Achieve Their First Diamond-Certified Song in US with “Thunderstruck”
Image
Rock legends AC/DC have hit another milestone, notching their first Diamond-certified single in the United States with “Thunderstruck.”

The song was certified Diamond by the RIAA after shifting 10 million equivalent units, which now includes both pure sales and streaming activity. Interestingly, the song hadn’t achieved any certification until now, with the RIAA awarding it Gold (for half a million units), Platinum (one million), and Diamond simultaneously.

Released in 1990 as the lead single and opening track on The Razor’s Edge, “Thunderstruck” has endured as one of AC/DC’s most recognizable songs with its frenetic fret-tapping intro by guitarist Angus Young and the anthemic shout-along gang vocals.

Not only has “Thunderstruck” remained a staple on classic rock radio and bar jukeboxes, but it has also become a mainstay at sporting events the world over. The intro to “Thunderstruck” can often be heard blaring from the Pa when a home...

Inside Netflix’s Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Docuseries: What ‘Cheer’ and ‘Last Chance U’ Director Greg Whiteley Learned From Following ‘America’s Sweethearts’ for a Season
Image
Spoiler Warning: This interview discusses plot points from “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders,” now streaming on Netflix.

Last Thanksgiving, Greg Whiteley was on the sidelines at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas as the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders put on an electrifying halftime show with special guest, country music icon Dolly Parton.

The Emmy-winning documentarian, best known for “Cheer” and “Last Chance U,” and his crew had been filming into the wee hours the night before, as workers put the finishing touches on Parton’s stage (which had to be assembled in a way that it could be torn down in a matter of minutes for the game to resume) and the cheerleaders made last-minute tweaks to their formations.

“The cheerleaders get 15 minutes of uninterrupted prime-time coverage. It’s a huge deal. No other cheerleading squad gets this, and they get it every year, so they take it seriously,” Whiteley tells Variety.

Hugh Jackman Returns to the Gym to Stay in Superhuman Shape Before 'Deadpool 3' Resumes Filming
Image
Ryan Reynolds isn’t the only Deadpool 3 star hitting the gym again now that the SAG-AFTRA strike is over. So is his costar Hugh Jackman, who is looking seriously jacked.

If you missed it, earlier this week Ryan‘s wife Blake Lively shared some “thirst content” of her “fine ass husband” working up a sweat. Hugh, who is reprising the role of Wolverine in the new movie, responded with a fiery video showing off his own superhuman strength!

Head inside to see Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine workout…

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (November 15), Hugh shared a video of himself lifting an impressive amount of weight. He soundtracked the clip using AC/DC‘s anthem “Thunderstruck.”

In the accompanying caption he wrote, “Lfg #becomingwolverineagain(again).”

This is a reference to the fact that filming on Deadpool 3 was paused for around four months due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, which ended on November 10 after 118 days.

It was the first time lead vocalist Brian Johnson performed live with the group since September 2016 in Philadelphia, following a 79-date Rock or Bust world tour. The ill-fated trek required the services of Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose for the final 22 stops after Johnson bowed out with hearing loss issues.

Saturday’s lineup also saw Matt Laug step in for drummer Phil Rudd, while longtime bassist Cliff Williams...
