Especially when it comes to how humans talk, act and feel in real life.
This a soulless, stupid, illogical piece of trash. Character depth is non-existent and their behavior is unnatural/irrational. Everything they do feels robotic.
It is a huge disservice to the Green Lantern John Stewart who was a pretty cool addition in the Justice League (Unlimited) series. Here he is just a wooden, shallow puppet. The others are bad, too. They also take a huge dump on Hal Jordan... and the Guardians... and pretty much everyone else. Including the viewers.
It feels like it was designed by a machine that has been fed a certain amount of data so it can select the common points and make something out of it that resembles an actual film.

While it has its merits, it didn't completely win me over. On the positive side, the animation is quite well-executed. The visual effects are vibrant and bring the fantastical elements to life, providing a colorful and engaging backdrop for the story. The voice acting is also a highlight, with the cast delivering performances that add depth and personality to their characters.
However, the film struggles with several issues. The plot feels rather formulaic, lacking the originality and complexity that could have elevated it. The story follows a predictable trajectory, making it hard to stay invested in the outcome. Additionally, the character development is somewhat shallow, and the main protagonist doesn't evolve much beyond a typical hero's journey.
The pacing is another problem, with some scenes dragging on and others feeling rushed. This uneven rhythm can make the film feel disjointed at times. The villain is also underwhelming, failing to provide a compelling adversary for the hero's journey.
In summary, while the animation and voice work are commendable, the film ultimately falls short in terms of story and character development. It's a decent watch for fans of the genre, but it lacks the depth and excitement needed to make it truly memorable.

There was a lot going on in this movie. I looks great and voice acting was good. The pace is breakneack, but fun.
Jon Stewart is our GL this time and it is his fish out of water story. So naturally with such a character, you get a lot of heavy exposition, but I love lore.
This does however, make the movie feel bogged down in the sense of a traditional movie's pacing. They don't build their characters in the story, you'd have to be invested in these characters from prior material to even care. That can leave you feeling uncomfortable however, if one were to consider some consequences of this films plot.
It is a great 'what if' story to hypothetically reboot the GL corps. I've never read a GL comic with Jon Stewart so I cannot be sure if plot comic accurate, but it was a good enough origin. This movie wouldn't fit neatly into any other timelines, i know of. So if thats a super concern of yours walk away now.
The animation in the hand to hand fight scenes are great, space battles were a little run of the mill. I wish charcters were treated more like humans with visible emotiosn, rather than blank suits I recognize.

It forgets to actually be a John Stewart origin story and undermines the attempts to explore it's morality but Green Lantern: Beware My Power is still a solid sci-fi adventure that benefits from a strong voice cast, a fast pace and pretty strong animation.
Aldis Hodge is a great John Stewart thanks to the gravitas he brings to the role and he's able to use his talent and presence to make some questionable dialogue work just about. The rest of the voice cast is good with Nolan North being a natural standout.
The animation is once again becoming hemogonized but this style is still way more vibrant and detailed than the previous iteration. The music by Kevin Riepl is really good, adding some ominous sci-fi sounds the typically heroic proceedings.

This movie is painful.
If you are a Green a lantern fan.
If you are a dc Fan.
If you have ears.
If you remember the justice league Series from the early 2000s.
Characters are bizzaro. Caricatures of there Comic or cartoon counterparts.
No part of the movie makes sense . It is comically poorly Written, the dialogue feels like it was written under duress so many things in this movie given just a bit of thought could have been salvaged. Worst part is i after watching this and groaning at the dialogue and plot i can imagine a version of this that is not awful. It basically needed a heavy handed editing and or a complete Rewrite .

- QuizAs mentioned during the conversation at Watchtower, Superman and Wonder Woman are away on a mission. The only version of Wonder Woman that has appeared in this new Tomorrowverse is of Earth-2 in the film Justice Society: World War II (2021).
- BlooperAfter having escaped Sinestro's dungeon, Green Lantern (John Stewart), can be seen wearing the Green Lantern suit underneath his jacket, in spite of not having the ring. His suit originally appeared when he put on the ring. A minute or so later when he had re-acquired the suit is gone and when he puts the ring back on the suit re-appears. There's nothing that would indicate either a real suit had been put on, nor the time to take it off. It also would make little sense to do so.

John Stewart: Think. We need to question him.
Hawkgirl: Of course. Interrogation first, then execution.
- Curiosità sui creditiThe WB and DC Comics logos and the film title appear in space, surrounded by green energy.
