If you want a fresh, witty take on modern queer relationships, *Settle Down* might be the show for you. Created by Alexander Nuñez, this comedy follows Mason, a matchmaker who's a pro at fixing everyone else's love life but can't seem to figure out why his own relationship is falling apart. The result? A smart, heartfelt, and funny series that's quite relatable, entertaining, and easy to binge.
The show looks good. The cinematography is sleek, the production design is on point, and the whole vibe feels polished without looking fake. The episodes are tightly packed with story, tackling real relationship problems - communication, trust, vulnerability - with a light touch that never feels preachy. Whether it's Mason's clients or his own messy love life, the problems feel genuine, and the solutions (or lack thereof) are just as real.
The writing is sharp, with characters who feel lived-in, even if they're a bit much at times but it's a comedy so I'll allow it. Mason is a standout, equal parts charming and flawed, but it did get on my nerves though. The supporting cast brings plenty of heart and humor to the table. By the end of the season, you'll be invested in their journeys, while being entertained.
Settle Down isn't really a rom-com but it's a thoughtful exploration of love, identity, and the messiness of relationships nowadays. If you're in the mood for something smart, funny, and a little bit messy, this one's for you.

I wasn't sure what to expect from Settle Down, but wow-Episode 1 completely pulled me in. The writing is sharp, the characters feel real, and Mason is such a compelling lead. It's refreshing to see a show that balances humor, heart, and authentic representation so effortlessly.also shout out to Georgia. She had me in stitches!
The dialogue is natural and actually funny (which is rare these days), and the story already has me hooked. It's the perfect mix of lighthearted and meaningful without feeling forced. If the rest of the season keeps this energy, Settle Down is definitely going to be a new favorite. Can't wait for the next episode!

Really fun. Great vibes and handling of intimacy. A real gem! The cast is charming and it's very well directed. The outfits knock it out of the park. Love the production value and the humour of it all. Settle Down does what many other series fail to do by capturing the push and pull of what it means to be ambitious and still be accountable to others - something highly relatable and difficult to master, especially in your late 20s. I'll definitely stick with this series and hope it carries on, the crew clearly worked really well together to create a project that's very watchable and charming. 10/10 for Settle Down!

There sure is a lot packed into only 6 episodes! I love how emotion - centered the series was and how it genuinely approached relationship drama. Even if the characters feel exaggerated at times, the challenges they face are real.
I loved the visual side a lot as well - the locations, the outfits, the vibe and thoughtful creation of each character really made every single person stand out in their own way, corresponding with the whole creation. Kudos to the actors for pulling it off and making the characters shine!
The series made me chuckle, sigh, grit my teeth and roll my eyes, which means I felt invested in it! Good job on the writing, the acting and the picture as a whole.

This show is so well crafted! It is fresh, fun, and intentional. The characters are so incredibly well developed and well performed, and the direction ensures that you are planted firmly in the world. What's more, I just had so so much FUN watching this show!! Settle Down is full of authenticity and you can feel the love and care that the team put into it. I am a big fan and cannot wait to watch the rest of the season! Fingers crossed for more seasons as well! I highly suggest this slice of queer joy if you are looking for a laugh and for some wonderful characters to become your new best friends!! :)

This show is listed as a comedy, but at the same time, it shows that despite being an expert in relationships, Mason can't see the rocks his ship is sailing into. Ben, Georgia and Devon are the best supporting characters and each are facing their own personal relationship dilemmas while helping Mason with his.
The casting worked really well as everyone is so fluid and natural in each episode. Cinematography is on point, shooting in various urban locations. There wasn't a moment that didn't seem off at all. And the representation of both the queer and gay community, as well as people of color makes this a well blended romcom.

I feel like I say this about almost everything I read and watch, but I am ENTHRALLED. From the first minute of this episode, I was sat. I binged all six episodes straight through and I've even convinced my bestie to watch with me in a couple of weeks when I see her.
I laughed, I yelled at my faves, I cried, I even screamed a couple of times. It pulled me in and never let me go. It's right up my alley: queer, diverse, hilarious, serious, introspective, creative, lighthearted, hot, and even a little sad. It's all the things I love in my media.
I did get to see the entire season for free and I highly recommend watching along here and binging it for a rewatch. Even the way they inserted the series title in a different artistic way each episode thrilled my little creative heart. I need more episodes and more seasons, stat. I wiped away my bittersweet tears while writing this, courtesy of the end of the last episode. Brilliant, brilliant work. 5 stars, 10/10, all the things lol.

Starts off intriguing, but then gains a full head of steam as you move from episode to episode! The acting is excellent, the characters are fun, and I just couldn't wait to find out what would happen the next time! I am just sad that there are not more episodes to binge. I'm also really sad that this is not on HBO Max or Netflix, where it can be appreciated by an even wider audience.
I specifically like the side characters, which add so much to each episode. I think my favorite is "Love Bomb," but that had changed a couple of times while I watched the series. There is just something so refreshing about the interplay of the matchmaker that struggles with his own match (and all of his clients). I really recommend you watch, learn, and LOVE these people like I do! Note I can't wait until the next season!

There are some wonderful characters in this one and while Mason and Jarod's relationship started off center-stage as the super successful matchmaker for everyone but himself it seems all the other characters are well drawn and made me want to see how all of their friendships and romantic relationships would play out as well. There is a great mix of humor (both light, dark and biting) but the bedrock of drama keeps everything grounded and kept me invested in these characters. I binged the six episodes and very much hope there will be more to come. I'd love to see these characters in a few more years and how they've changed.
